The moment the tears started, Hal was across the distance between them and holding her in his arms, holding her close. Like the time with the beach and the thunderstorm. He held her and closed his eyes, hoping he could help her even just a little.

"Everything have been horrible. Everything! That's not one thing stable in my life that hasn't been untouched lately!" Her cries grew louder as she unlaced her hands from her hair and instead dug them into the shirt that Halcyon was wearing. Moving forward, she leaned into him needing the comfort he gave her to feel better, but no matter how close she got the pain didn't go away. "I can't even sleep without thinking about things!"

Halcyon remained silent as he held her for a bit, then suddenly spoke up, "...Isdra...what matters is...how you get through, survive and move on past the bad parts..." he said quietly to her, "And move on to the good parts of life again..."

Looking up, she looked him in the eyes and shook her head. "No... It's not anymore, that's what you're missing. I have to be good through the bad times and the good now. I can't breakdown, I can't cry, I can't scream, even in my own home. I have a pair of twins to worry about. It's not just weather I can deal with all the hurt in my life. It's keeping it hidden from people who don't have to deal with it. Who shouldn't have to deal with it."

He'd pinned her in a corner with his comment and she didn't know how to react. She'd never been contadicted before and didn't know how to react to that kind of situation. All she could think to do was cry more. "I'm pathetic... I can't say what I want to say... Can't do what I want to do..." Her hands dug in more, until she could feel her nails in the palms of her hands even through his shirt.

"You're not pathetic Isdra, and if you call yourself that again I will have to do something very mean and smack you..." he said, his voice was stern, "...Isdra...You can tell me anything...if it helps you feel better to get it off your chest, then tell me please?" he said to her, his voice softening quickly.

"But I am! I went to tell you, but I can't. And I have no clue why." She felt like a weak, powerless child who could do nothing but cry to their mother. It was a horrible feeling and she hated it. The one thing she never wanted in life was to cry to someone and she was doing just that.

Hal nods his head slightly and begins to gently pet Isdra's hair as he holds her, "Well then...if you can figure out how to later...we will then...okay?"

Not looking up, only pulling his shirt tighter, she question, "...Can... can we go somewhere else...? I don't want to go home... And I don't want to be here..." How she was going to deal with everything, she didn't know. Where she stood with Halcyon, she didn't know. She didn't know a lot of things right now, but she knew she didn't want to deal with it. And gosh darn it, she was gonna get full use of that damned baby-sitter she'd payed for.

"Absolutely..." he picked Isdra up in his arms and carried her out the door, leaving enough on the counter to pay for his coffee with tip. Once outside he looked around and smiled as he moved off down the street. It wasn't long before they were before a bakery, "Want something to eat? Maybe a brownie or cookie?" he asked her.
He then smiled warmly at her, "And I will hear no arguements from my girlfriend over me paying for it, okay?"

Isdra was silent, but didn't complain. "I... I can walk." It was her effort to stay strong. To not breakdown completely. Pulling herself out of his arms, she walked along side him, hair out of it's tie, completely messy, and covering her face. She looked like a ghost with her incredibly pale skin and the rings under her eyes. Not to mention the fact they were completely blood shot. "Not really... I'm not hungry..."
Even though she had got down from his arms, she had held onto his sleeve. It was her way of saying 'I need space, but thanks for the thought.' She also didn't want to break her hold completely. "Can... can we just go to your house...? I... don't want to be out in public like this. People are staring."
((Eagle was right. XD The new song 'It's not over', by Daughtry does fit Isdra and Halcyon quite will. XD First verse for Isdra, second for Halcyon.))

"Not a problem Isdra..." he opened a cellphone and a personal taxi arrived, he helped her inside before joining her and directing the driver to the hotel. It wasn't long before they were there and he helped Isdra out of the car, into a massive luxury hotel, and to a private elevator to the pent house.
The pent house took up two whole floors of the building, and the roof. It was the roof living space they stepped out of the elevator into, which had a view of the city, and of the arboretum that was on the roof as well. "This is it Isdra...nice library here too in the study...books dating back over a millenia..."

Isdra looked about. It was nice, but so big. The shear size of it made her uncomfortable, seeing as she'd always been accustom to small things. "Is there just a small room we can sit in? Big rooms are.... awkward to me," she muttered, hugging herself slightly.

He nodded his head, honestly the main room was a dining room, living room and kitchen all in one big open area without walls. He led her down a hallway to a room with a view of the arboretum, "Will my room work? I don't stray down into the rooms on the lower two floors, Father uses those for his own personal matters and they are highly sound proofed so I have to assume it deals with his alternative job." he sat down on his bed, motioning next to him, then to a chair in front of a computer, giving Isdra options.
