He swung his arms out sending out an exploding aura of his dark energy. As the swell disappeared, he did along with it with no trace but black energy still flowing out of the small crater he had created from earlier.

Rikoi had been thrown back a few feet and lay, crumpled on the ground. Her arms shaking she stood up. Blood ran down her face and arms as did tears. She stood up, her legs for some reason fared better than the rest of her. All she couldn't think of was Ace, thats all that was going through her mind.

His yellow eyes appeared in her mind and the entire area went black. "What is it you fear?" a voice echoed, snake like in her mind.

She shivered, her arms wrapping themselves around her.
"Loosing him." She whispered almost inaudibly. Why did she answer? "I'm so scared of loosing him. Of being a burden to him."

The darkness cleared but what she saw before her was more. Ace was there with a look of horror on his face and one of his own diamond spires through his gut and his blood running down the sides. It flowed to the ground and into the grass.

She her eyes widened and her breath along with her heart just stopped dead.
"ACE!" She screamed and darted towards him, forgetting her arms and her pain and everything but him. She was by him as quick as she could, her bloody hand on his arm, looking up into his face with panicked worry.

As soon as she touched him she went through him and he vanished into vapors. A voice in her head was laughing darkly. "You are such a fool." It laughed.

She fell to the ground sobbing Ace's name over and over. She was such an idiot. And everyone knew it. Wasn't she once strong? Wasn't there a time when she could stand on her own? She had to get up now. She had to get up and find Ace. Just find him and be there, with him, always. Shakily, very very shakily, she stood up. It was impossible to stop crying, but she was standing again.

A black spark shot from Rikoi's head and grew into Ares who was laughing. "You are so weak. It is pitiful." He roared. "You saw Ace, he is changing. Soon he will be our little puppet again." Ares laughed as he watched Rikoi on the ground.

She glared at him, tears streaming down her face that was red from anger and embarrassment.
"NO! ACE WON'T! HE WON'T!" She shouted at him furiously, her legs trembling. Her mind was racing, how could she find him?? How??

"I'm sorry my dear, but it is already happening. You know when Ace was trapped in his own little diamond cocoon? I did not just put that one curse on him. No, I placed a secondary one that would react when I signaled which I chose tonight to be the night to test it and look at how well he did on his first test, attacking his own love." He laughed. He could tell his words were ripping right through Rikoi and he savored her pain from it.

There was a tight, tight pain in her heart, head, and stomach. Her fists were shaking now just as badly as her legs were, it was getting to be near impossible for her to stand. More and more tears flowed from her eyes and she shut them tightly. What about the feather she once gave him? Could she find him that way? It was a miracle her mind was working in the condition it was in currently. Her legs gave way and her wings came out, battered but working, to keep her standing. She would NOT fall in front of this... this b*****d.

Her eyes snapped open and she glared at him through tears.
"NO!" She shouted. "I will never ever give him up! Not even after I die I won't ever give up what we share!" She wouldn't. She never ever would give up Ace. Never. Not until he told her that she couldn't be with him. Damn it she had to find him soon. She had to break the curses on him. Like he had done for her. She could do it. She would.

Ares laughed while turning back to the girl. He drew his sword and started walking towards her. "You cannot save him. Especially if you can't even defeat me without him."
