Yakov kissed Jeff on top of the head and just sat and held him. He groaned when he heard a small pop. "What do you want now?"
Alejandro laughed. "Can we never just want to visit?"
"No." Yakov shook his head. "No, I don't think you can."
Alejandro laughed harder. "Luka, he truly is your brother."
Luka smiled. "You only say that because you approve of our taste in men."
Yakov sighed. "Could you two just get on with it please?"
Luka looked over at Alejandro. "He did say please."
Alejandro nodded and sat down. "I'm noticing a very suspicious lack of reacion in this town."

Holly eventually managed to pull away. "You sure you're okay with this? You're not weirded out or anything?"

Jeff sighed and sat up. "I was thinking the same thing. I don't like it but at least its better than the town up in arms trying to burn as at the stake...right now. This could get very bad. The way this rogue pack has infiltrated into the heart of this town scares me."

Luka shook her head. "People up in arms I can deal with. This...no one's even talking about it. They're going about their daily lives as though nothing is wrong. No one's even talking about it. It scares the hell out of me...like they all know something I don't."

Holly raised an eyebrow. "Kyle, this isn't like some fun little fetish thing. I nearly practically raped you because I heard..." She really didn't want to say it out loud. She was afraid it would come with too many mental images.

Jeff glared off into the distance, his mind was wheeling. "Kyle doesn't seem to acting like he knew we existed. But I wonder..."

Kyle shrugged, "If theres anything I can do to help you through it just let me know. And unless my dad is around it doesn't bother me."

Holly shook her head. "I still don't think you get it, but whatever." She laughed. "And you are going to have to tell that man someday." She leaned forward and whispered in his ear. "Especially if you ever want me to turn you."

Jeff didn't move or look at Yakov, he just said, "Yakov, get Kyle."

Kyle was frozen in place. Had she really just eluded to the fact he might be turned some day so he could be with her forever? His head was spinning.

Yakov froze for a heartbeat and then nodded and left to get Kyle. He didn't even notice the look on Kyle's face when he interrupted. "Kyle, Jeff needs you."

Kyle turned to face Yakov and blinked staring at him before registering what he said. He shook his head and followed Yakov out to where apparently the entire group had gathered yet again. "Um..." He mumbled at Jeff, who was looking scary sitting on the steps.
Jeff stood up and turned to Kyle in one fluid motion. "How has your father taken the weres coming out?"
Kyle was little shaken up by that question, "Um, er, well he didn't explode about it. He just wont let me outside at night alone unless I have the car. But all the kids at school talk about it nonstop." He couldn't meet Jeff's eyes for some strange reason.

"Have your teachers talked about it?" Jeff ignored Luka, he was too intent on trying to get to the bottom of it.
"Um...no, not really...or at all actually." Kyle started thinking about it, "In fact none of the adults ever talk about it."

The others were pretty much a silent circle around Jeff and Kyle at this point. Holly was standing right behind Kyle. She wasn't sure if she had placed herself there to sort of protect him or to stop him from running away.

Jeff turned away from Kyle and stared off into the backyard. "Either we are dealing with an extreme case of mind control, or an extreme case of conspiracy. " He suddenly turned around and stared at Kyle again, "How long has your dad been living here?"
"Uh...er, I mean he moved here with mom almost ten years ago, but she hated it here..." Kyle stumbled on.
"This started at least 10 years ago. But hasn't infiltrated the younger generation. What the hell is going on in this town?!" Jeff was talking more to the group than just Kyle, who was nervously shifting from foot to foot.

Yakov finally found his voice, but it was barely a whisper. "Jeff...you're scaring him." Actually, he was pretty sure Jeff was scaring everyone.

Jeff swung around and glared at Yakov for a split second before his face fell. He took a second to gather himself again before speaking. He hadn't meant to scare him, he just kind of lost control. He stood up straight and turned to Kyle. "Kyle you can leave now, Holly why don't you go with him."

Holly nodded. She grabbed Kyle's hand and quickly pulled him back into the house.
Luka had her hands on her hips, impatiently tapping her foot. "You done freakin' out now?"
