the creature was dead, and the light brightened. Talon saw her. "RUN!"

Brooke's head was spinning as she pulled herself up and over a fence and ran past the town houses.
It had begun to rain.

there were explosions, and crys of pain, both human and inhuman.

The screams pulled her back to the scene like she was attached to a rope, looking up the buildings she pulled herself upon a roof. The explosions of light almost blinded Brooke.

Talon faught in his avian form, swords to swords with a creature made of shadows.

The rain continued to fall blurring her vision a little not helping Brooke in the least.

there was an explosion, and Talon was flung into the building Brooke was one, landing in the roof, and falling to the ground.

Catching her balance before flinching Brooke looked over the figure that landed atop the roof. Seeing the features of her substitute teacher she came closer, the other details caught her eye.. He appeared different, more animal like. Their was no way this guy was human but her instincts kicked in over logic as Brooke dropped towards her substitute, leaning over his face as to shield him from the rain.
"s**t," she panicked tapping Talon's cheek glancing towards the now ceased explosion sight. The rain and darkness kept her from seeing that far, not helping in alarm to whatever he'd been fighting was dead. "Come on! Get up, please!"

one of the Darkhounds leaped at the girl, it's eyes a blazing green fire
Talon's eyes opened, glowing blue. he help out his hand, and lightning flashed from his hands, striking the creature in the chest, ripping it in two. Talon turned to Brooke. "you need to get out of here."

Closing her eyes really tight she forced herself to get a grip, the small taste of blood in her mouth. Brooke had broke skin by biting down on her bottom lip, pushing herself up she shook her head in defiance.

Brooke forced her eyes to shut as she helled on with both hands, shivering.
