Well, that works fine then. But let me ask this. If you ever played any RPG I've ever heard of, did you really think twice about stuff you found in houses, that automatically became part of your inventory. It's just part of the game.
Since you didn't roll for gold, I will. (5d10) You found 25 gold in that one pouch.

I've never played a non-flashed-based RPG, at least I don't think so. I didn't roll because you said that you would roll now. I was going more for the character's personalities. Are table-top RPGs more about numbers than make-believe/pretend games?

It really depends on the players. Sometimes a group is all about Character-building, and such. Others would be happy if the game never went out of combat mode. But in the video game versions you find and take stuff from everywhere, and you're still heroes.
The numbers help decide results in most events. Actually when I'm done building this guide, I'm considering going back through and annotating where dice were used and what for. This is a guide about using them after all. Once we get to combat, the numbers will become most useful. Because that's when you can decide hits, misses, and damage. The rest is just searching for now. Though you'll note I used dice to determine the amount of golds you got from the searching. For now, we'll only roll dice for a few things (one spot in particular for the library)
Most of the stuff I'm explaining (the constellation chips and such) don't really have anything to do with this particular mission, but they elude to more adventures for the party, were the story to continue. I'll let you decide whether we actually go post-by-post through the rest of the backstory, or I can sum it all up in a simpler post.

The main characters here don't really have stable stats. The real D&Ders out there would have my head for that. But this guide is about using dice in RP.So the main point is getting people to understand how they could get used in your standard RP. I'll need to read back through what I've already posted to get my groove back on. The instructions for rolling new characters is early on in the guide; If you REALLY want to.

The party mostly just found some gold, some matches, and some spare arrows for the archer. I don't remember the details, but I'll work them out sometime during the next weeks.
It'd probably be easiest if you reconvene your party by the front door, so I can have a good starting point to restart from.
If Wynaro doesn't get on track, I may have to run the rest of this story myself.

Bump due to possible renewed interest. I'm partially active on Gaia again, and should be able to continue this guide sometime soon. If not, I may possibly just start a new one.
