Foxx flinched and spun, surprised by Warren's sudden entrance to her attention, she lost her balance and fell on her bottom. The little creature in her arms hissed at him from over her shoulder, it's little fore-claws tangling in her hair and shirt.
"Shh..." She hushed it soothingly as she turned more carefully to look at him, then the animal in her arms. She wasn't sure if she should say anything, let alone how to answer. She already knew the creature's kind, dragons of this type weren't common, but she'd come across them once. Instead she delayed having to speak by clumsily trying to get up, though it was quite difficult with the animal in her hand, and as once, her skirt got caught under her boot.
Her awkward movements made the little dragon agitated as she pulled her skirt from under her, and tried to reposition it. Or rather him, she noticed as his long snake like body wiggled awkwardly in her hands as she continued to struggle to settle him in her arms again.

Everyone: The amount of the mud in the area has increased.
Masterson: You hear the a trickling coming from the steam that wasn't there before.
Michael: Your hand discovers topographic map of the area held down by L-bar and a tin pencil case. The map only covers a quarter mile of land. you note a clearing has been circled.

Looking over the map, his eyes came to notice they were in the lower part. Water probably was washing into the clearing. This meant it had rained recently. But this was all only an assumption based of a first glance of the map.
He looked over the map again, and searched any papers laying out. Wait, if these are just laying out. Who ever is working on this couldn't have gone far and would be back soon. He didn't scrabble, but he did start to hurry only scanning papers for anything that might help.
With all this knowledge, he looked around the clearing. He was only under a single assumption, but would no leave anything to chance. He felt the sudden touch of bad luck hit him. There could be more happening here then he new, and he would rather not be caught in a bombing, or something of similar sorts.

Michael: You don't find any other pertinent information as you search table. You also don't see any bodies of water on the map.

Foxx felt the ground squish beneath her and silently cursed. 'The only time water is not my friend.' She thought bitterly to herself. She looked up from her spot on the ground at Warren. "Umm..." Shaking her head suddenly, she flicked her wrist and the water in the mud moved under her, dropping it's load of dirt, and pulling it from her person as it helped her to stand.
"Sorry." She said noting that she still hadn't answered his question. "What were you saying, umm..." She looked at him not really knowing who he was.

Masterson began to hear the sound of a bustling brook nearby.
The sound began to grow, yet a moment ago it wasn't there. Seeing as though this was beginning to become pointless to him anyway, he walked over in the direction of the water to see what was there.
((Really, I wish I knew the purpose for this whole scene. Don't mean to come off as ignorant, but I feel as if I'm walking around in circles.))

As you figure out what's going on the situation will get worse if that helps ^^ wink ) Warrren, watched as Foxx Channeled the dirt away from her, "You are quite skilled in the Water Arts I see. oi was inquiring about the creature you just created there. What you found was something called a Muse Trigger, so what you have there is a new born Muse."Warren glanced down at the creature, it gave an unsure hiss. "New Muses can't interact with those of it's own kind. You see a muse can not have a muse. If Seth or I had touched it or told you what it was this little fellow wouldn't exist right now, the trigger would have died. I've yet to see a reptilre of this type before, so I'll ask a a better question. What were you thinking about when when the trigger went off?"Seth was still staring at the haze. It seemed to be smoldering rather than boiling now, though he couldn't say how he know that. He had been throughout things in for a while and nothing had happened. He had pulled a sample of every available metal in the soil and the cloud hadn't responded aside from the fact that nothing had c0me back out. Seth tossed another ball from his collection at it. As it past though a fireball shot out the opposing side. Seth bolted after it. He tossed out more of his ball baring and they trailed behind him. He stretched them into two large bowls and clamped them on the run away firework. The sphere the shook impatiently as Seth returned to the clearing. He released the ball and it hovered in place smoldering much like the rift was doing now. Something was at the center of the flame but Seth could make out what it was. "I think we have another Trigger, this one looks like it's been around for awhile."The fire flared indignantly as the remark.

"Hm.." Puzzled by something, he knelt down. His hand took up a clump of the mud measuring it's consistency. He felt how much water had soaked into the ground, and felt it would me best to get off. Often times the simplest things become the most dangerous.
This in mind, he took a high jump, dropping the dirt in his hand just as he left the ground. His body was tossed high in the air, his body hovering for a second as he caught a good glimpse of the area. With a wave of his hand, a clear disk formed under him, a floating platform her landed on and took seat upon.
From his new view, he took time to scan the forest area. He quickly spotted his hand, noting the distance and direction it was in. He then looked for any landmarks of the future, if he found even the lightest mark that would tell him his position, he could find where the door would be.
His hand found it pointless to look over the map, instead rolling it up, and holding it in a tight grip. With two fingers, it launched itself back the the wrist it called home, flying up to Michael. Waiting till the last moment, he caught his hand against his wrist. His eye moved through his arm back to the socket, as his hand reconnected, destroying the wraps that were in the way.
He unrolled the map with hast, looking it over with both his eyes now, seeing every detail much easier. "Hey guys, I found nice map."

Masterson: You have just verified that there's not suppose to be a bog in the area, let alone a pond. Also when you were by the pond you noted the patch without scum was considerably larger. You didn't think about while you were there, the narrator must have misread you last action. Wait, what's a narrator?

She said staring it in the eyes.

Wait, what's a narrator? While looking at the map, Masterson confirmed that indeed, there wasn't supposed to be a bog or even a pond here. What did that mean to him? Quite simply put, it definitely was suspicious and made him want to investigate the area even more so now. Something was wrong here.

Keeping his voice down so only Masterson could hear, Michael spoke with a hidden concern for the fact that there was not to be a bog hear, "I can find no land marks that are even similar to those of our time and through my scan of the area, I found nothing still. I don't know if things truly have changed that much from now to our time, or if we have thrown a wrench into time itself and altered it greatly. As things look, I don't believe we can find where the main entrance will be with out blindly looking, and that alone sounds like a bad idea with all that is going on."
He handed Masterson the map, thinking it would serve him better. He did know the area far better then Michael did. As he spoke again, although still to Masterson, he had began looking at the others, "And, I am truely worried about letting them wander. I am sure they can handle themselves, but this place may hold things that would give you and me a hard time."

((You guys are doing well, you started trying to interact with one and other more. The information I give you is based on your posts keep in mind. That being said, again please take the story into your own hands. The area description was left vague so that you could influence it. As you decide to have your characters discover things I will add to it to curve you into the plot. Don't be afraid to be wild with it. We have a gaping hole in the fabric of space and time, things are bound to get strange.))
((Oh and on a side Note Foxxenne is the winner of the "Guess the Name of the Hole" contest. Her depiction brought her close enough to reveal the true name))
"I know what this object is!" Warren exclaimed turn towards it and point his finger accusingly at the haze. Seth looked over deadpan, "What happened to the quiet idea? I liked that plan." "Not important, this thing, that keeps spitting out objects, what do they all have in common?" "You mean aside form the fact that they came from," Seth stifled a yawn, "the rift?" "Yes aside from that, they're all random! and what does it mean when something is random and sticks out, even if it's a mundane object?" Warren waited for a response, Seth appeared to have dozed off during the last bit.
The Fireball seemed to peer over at Seth before beginning to inch itself away from the group, unknowingly towards the most recent student of spectral wandering the nearby wooded area.
