I'm Callie, and I'm a member of both the church and the guild. I think its great that there are people here who are not ashamed of their beliefs!

Well, I guess I will follow suit and bear my own testimony...

I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and has felt my pain, and for that reason he will stand beside me and comfort me in my times of anguish. I know that God the Father sent him to do the deed that no mortal man could do, and that He has a plan for every one of us. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Eternal Father and His Son Jesus Christ as a boy of 14, and that he brought to pass the re-organizing of the church by the power of God. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that God has unending love for us, and that is why he put us on this earth with trials and tribulations. He wanted us to gain knowledge and experience and most importantly a body, so we could return to live with Him again. I know these things because I have read the scriptures, prayed, and received answers about them. I know that God loves all people, regardless of their choices and beliefs, but that he cannot love their sins. I love this church and it has guided me in my life to make choices that have opened doors for me and made me a better person. I know that the beauty of this earth is here to remind us that God is omnipotent, and that if He can create such magnificence, He has the power to do all things, which power is the Priesthood. I bear this testimony unto you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Howdy! I'm Jessica, a lifelong member of the church.

I know that there is a God, that He is my Heavenly Father, and that Jesus Christ is his son. I know that Jesus Christ did what no other human could have done: he paid the price for all sin so that we might not have to as long as we keep His commandments. I know that in 1820, a upstate New York farmboy named Joseph Smith prayed to know which church to join, and that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who told him to join none. I know that that boy grew up to be the prophet of the Restoration, and that he translated the Book of Mormon, which is in his own words "the most correct of any book." I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, and that he leads The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints through revelation. Above all else, I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me with a perfect love. These things I say in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Amen. It's really amazing what Joseph Smith was able to accomplish and what the result of all his hard work has been.

Each week that I don't go to church, I start feeling unhappy, but when I go, I feel at peace again.

Sorry that was kinda long...

The exact same happens to me if I go too long without reading Scriptures! It used to be that way when I was attending church, too. Then for some reason I felt that I wasn't supposed to be at the church; I started becoming unhappy by going. Perhaps it is because I started becoming selfish again, wanting to spend my Sunday mornings doing things I found more productive. And not have my parents ask how church went (they actually don't like Mormons, but for me they've learned to accept that they have an impact on my life).

Hmm, okay, call me Sue, Sou, or even if you're of a mind call me Souijji (pronounced Squeegie)

I've been a member of the church all mu life, but walked away from it for several years. It was a stupid reason and I don't really even remember it all now, though I still have issues I'm dealing with because of it.

I do however believe whole-heartedly in the church and it's teachings. I believe Joseph Smith was called of God to bring back His church in these Latter days. I believe we are led by a modern day prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God, translated by His power to give us additional guidance. Though I am very open minded and accepting of others and their ways/beliefs, I do draw the line at many things that I believe are wrong. Things, not people are what I don't condone.

I believe I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. As long as I can hold on to that belief I can hope for a better tomorrow.
