Darth Ghranna Kay9214 Darth Ghranna Kay9214 Well, like I said, I'm not sure, but apparently the Dragon of the West who winds up ruling the world doesn't know any better than to ingest poison. :l Also its a kid show and that is a well used comic device to have a plant either be just what you are looking for or an unspeakably awful poison That sounds kinda terrible now that I hear you say it... D: The way we teach kids these days... O.o I am not saying the world if full of idiots, I am just saying we should remove the warning labels and let the situation resolve itself. I just like that Azula is supposed to be 'bad' yet she has the mindset necessary to be a truly great leader. She is the perfect Machiavellian leader, she does what is necessary to achieve her goals. However since there is a 'lets all hold hands and be friends' message she seems to be evil. lol at the pics But, yeah, Azula seems pretty bad. I can see your point of view, but in ways, I believe she's not quite as Machiavellian as you'd have me believe. Sometimes her actions were meant to be for any greater good, but often for her own benefit. That, and she was a complete nutjob. Remember, Niccolo was also a humanist as well.

Sometimes her actions were meant to be for any greater good, but often for her own benefit. That, and she was a complete nutjob. Remember, Niccolo was also a humanist as well. I would say that the weak exist to serve the strong. Azula may have done things to serve her own ends. However as the future empress of the fire nation building a reputation of fear and power will make it easier for her to progress the will of her nation. If you are not willing to be strong then you will end up cast aside. As Zukko and Niccolo both found out, if you are not in a position of power you may loose the home you loved.

As a humanist he would have recognized that the desire to subjugate and control other humans is one of the most basic aspects of human nature. After all is not his most famous quote "It is better to be feared than loved if one must choose." As you see throughout the show people bow to her will from fear. Which in turn can be seen as a good thing, since it avoids blood shed.

Also when it comes right down too it, society still feels that the most powerful person should be a male. Hence any threateningly powerful female must be evil.

Hey I would choose being empress of the known world over a love interest any day! blaugh
