Kyle leaned against her. "Are you alright?"

Kat nodded and smiled. "I did bite one of your pack, and that is unforgivable in most." Jeff gave her a hug before he stood and helped Yakov up. "Darling, if you need anything just holler. And I will be down here in a split second. I will see you when the sun sets then."

Yakov clung tightly to Jeff's hand as they left and shut the door behind them. He ran his fingers over the already healing marks on Jeff's wrists.

Jeff cringed and winced at the words. "Both." They were making their way up out of the basement.

Jeff opened the door to the first floor and shrank away from Yakov. "That too. I was just...What I did...er well said, was uncalled for...and I'm sorry."

Jeff frowned as he made his own way up the stairs. He purposely went slower than Yakov, dreading the cold shoulder or whatever Yakov was planning on doing for punishment. Jeff knew he deserved it, but it still hurt.

Yakov had already crawled into bed and was mostly buried beneath blankets.

Jeff slunk into the room. He slipped off his pants and sat on the edge of the bed. "Yakov...are you alright, love?"
