Vain sat up with the look of confusion on his face of the sudden apperance of another wolf, and he didn't know as to how he didn't notice that the other wolf was there. He thought to himself that made the leaves had masked his scent. "hmmm well this seems like fun!!" he whispered to himself as he started to Follow Drake in the treetops to remain unnoticed.
((srry it took so long I got grounded and can't really get on the computer so yeah srry about that sweatdrop ))

Drake burried himself in a pile of fallen leaves so as not to be seen, yet in a position that allowed him to keep a watch on the opening to chalta's den. Refusing to sleep, Drake continuously scanned the area around chalta's den.

Chalta halted and then turned, walking back to the door of her den and sticking her head out, sniffing the air.
"I can smell you both... stay away from my den.. or come inside. I don't care which.." She sighed, shaking her head. Silly boys.

Vain jumped out of a tree and landed at the door or your den and scratched his ears softly, then whispered back at you, "do you really think that we can trust this guy? I've never heard or seen this guy before....I don't think he can be trusted."

Drake stayed in the leaves to watch for any impending threats to chalta or the rest of the kind wolves met earlier. His unnatural since of kindness seemed to overpower whenever he met new people or creatures. Yet, there was an odd sinsation from having not went in the den and seeing chalta speaking with the other male. a since of passion, anger, and sadness, all at the same time. it wasnt love, it seemed more like jelousy. confused by the new emotion, drake simply ignored the presence of the other male and continued to keep watch over the den.

Chalta sighed and shook her head and turned, slipping back into her den. She knew they both were out there. Stubborn males. She couldn't sleep right now anyway...
She smiled as one of the cubs that she was raising, though not her own, and already weaned, woke and went scampering outside. She followed, knowing he was in need of a drink.

Vain turned and looked at the cub as it walked out of then den. He looked down at it at started to sniff it. The cub smelled a little like Chalta and another scent that he couldn't identify. "Is this cub yours Chalta?"

Drake raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the small cub. admiring the cuteness of the little fluff ball, drake's concentration on the surroundings began to fade. daydreams of his childhood flooded his mind as he watched the cub and vain investigate each other. the strange since of jelousy seemed to gradually get stronger, yet drake still ignored it.

"Not mine by birth. I adopted the kits.. there are three in total, he's just the trouble maker." She answered, watching him warily, clearly uncomfortable with her cub being so close to him. "Why is that other male hiding?" She asked, scooping the cub up.

Drake got up and walked to chalta. "i always hide myself incase of impending danger, but it seems as though we're clear of any predators for now." Drake looked at the cub. "cute. yet odd to see you raisinhg them alone. how long have you had them?"

"For a few weeks... And it is difficult, but we manage." She smiled and scooped the cub up, turning to carry him back into her den. "You don't have to watch me you know..."

Sitting in a tree close enough to hear them Val sat with his eyes closed. He opened one eye slightly to watch vain and the pup. Val had found the whole conversation boring until the mention of the pup. He thought it was interesting that Chalta was raising three on her own that werent even hers. He watched her as she walked back into her din.
