The tired little companion seemed to forget the fact that he was, indeed, tired as the Medic spoke kindly in his direction. He had worked hard to bring the flowers to his master's friend and felt deeply praised merely by her words of thanks.
He moved from Odd to the perch between them and chittered sheepishly to himself as he pressed against his master's talons.
"Will that be enough for what you need?" Odd asked quizzically. As much as he enjoyed this female's companionship, as it was a rare treat, his mind continued to drift to storm damage and the like. He would make note of her territory and planned on thanking her properly in the future, as time would most likely allow it.

Mallow smiled down at Beetle while he talked to himself, bringing her eyes away only when Odd spoke.
She looked up promptly and nodded her head before she spoke. "Oh yes, this is plenty for now! A great outcome thanks to you two," she added, looking to Odd and then his two companions.
"Thank you ever so much, again."

The strange, white sentinel roused his feathers with a sort of pride as Mallow thanked him. Here, a sentinel with what was obviously a rather clean bloodline was speaking with him, thanking him for what he and his companions had done. With Odd, a little praise went a long way, as he was used to getting exactly the opposite when confronted with social situations.
"Thank you for allowing us to assist you, dear." He replied softly, but there was no masking the happiness that had crept into his voice as he spoke. "I am very much glad that you've gotten what you needed, especially after such a visit from the Thunderbird."
His talons gripped the bark beneath his feet as he fought with mixed feelings. He would of loved to stay and chat longer, but he had chirops to tend to, just as Mallow probably would have many patients, patients that he wished he could help with but would probably just end up making matters worse.
"If you ever need anything, a messenger chirop or another companion, my lot are always open to you." A smile tugged at his beak edges and he gave the female a brisk nod. "Unfortunately, I must be heading home... I need to check on my little charges, you see. I will certainly pay you back for your kindness in the future. Until then, may Noctus watch over you." And with that, he and his two chirops were drifting further North, towards the northern edges of Deep Woods. As always, Moth was very near to his face, leading the way through the tangle of limbs and leaves.
