"Shamari Ronso?" she replied in a deep voice then chuckled " just kidding. my names Rumple lula and as you probably guessed im a moogle"
she lent back on her chair with a cheeky smile and signaled for the waitress two bring to more drinks.
"what brings you here Shamari if you don't mind me asking? id love to know kupo. here"
rumple pushed one of the drinks towards her and drank her own sticking her feet on the table.

She could tell the Moogle was joking with her, it was so apparent it was funny. Smiling lightly she let herself be caught smiling for once in a long time.
"Nice to meet Rumple."
She said, taking the drink from the table when it was offered. Drinking from the glass it was apparent she was buying time to think about why she was here. It was a mystery perhaps.
"Traveling. Seeing the world."
She replied after pulling the glass from her muzzle to speak. Setting it down gently she looked around for a moment at where it had got her.
"What about Rumple?"
She asked. The problem with pronouns was becoming apparent.

"*slurp*well my reasons simple to become the strongest fighter around kupo"
she watched the ronso carefully ready for a fit of laughter from her as she countinued
"thats my goal and i wont stop till its accomplished, thats kind of the reason i came over when i saw you. im sure theres much i could learn from a strong ronso fighter like you kupo. id love to go one on one with a tough looking warrior ronso"
the moogle clicked her fingers with a smile.
"but im not after a bar room brawl id prefer a proper battle when we get to know each other and you think im worthy"

The Ronso didnt laugh, she didnt even smile at the fact she wanted to be a strong fighter. It was a resonable thing, even she would like to be a strong fighter herself, though that isnt the top thing on her list. Picking up the glass she had ordered she quickly finished that off and set the glass aside to be picked up later by the waiter.
"If Rumple wishes to befriend Shamari, then Shamari will give you a chance."
She replied, letting the little Moogle do as she wished from there. Shamari wouldnt mind a little company, actually any company was fine with her.

Rumple smiled and lept from the chair holding her hand out and shaking Shamari.
"great, im sure we can become good friends traveling on the road together."
she swigged down her drink plopping it on the table
"well if your ready im good to head out now. hopefully we can find some fiends and we can both show what were made of"
rumple woddled to the door and waited making sure she was ready for the heat outside.

The Ronso took Rumples hand into a shake for a moment before letting go to return her hand to the drink she was about to finish. Smiling inwardly she wondered why she hadnt yet asked this little moogle for pay yet. Maybe she really was lonly out in the world.
Finishing her drink in a gulp she set the glass on the table and placed some gil next to the glasses for the person who would take them up. Pushing away from the table she stretched her arms up before turning to follow the moogle outside.
She was really indifferent to the heat at first, but she knew that later she would be very hot. Oh well, that was the way it was. Pausing for a moment she looked outside before stepping out and putting har hand over her eyes to protect them from the sun.

"hot isnt it?"
rumple said pulling her hood up to shade her.
"sorry about leaving you with the bill im afraid my gill is a bit lacking at the moment. i only just noticed as we were speaking. i promise to pay you back thou."
she gave a cheeky grin then woddled of walking with shamari and looking around the city. it certainly was a desolate place and for some reason the people looked at her a little differently now. perhaps itt was because of the huge ronso now accompanying her. it gave her a funny sense of pride to have such a companion and seen as kind of equals as they walked with one another.
"so tell me shamari, you must have been staying here a while is there anywhere good to test are skills or is there somewhere on this continent you've heard of you would like to go. i myself would be up for going anywhere, where i could pick up experience."

Shamari nodded her head slightly before following her off toward the edge of the town. Looking to the moogle as she pulled up her hood for shade, the Ronso thought about doing the same but decided against it in favor of not being that hot.
"It okay. Shamari had the Gil."
She replied, remembering the Al Bhed who had given her the gil without taking her services and running off. Hey, whatever worked so long as she had pay for the boats.
Shamari had to keep her strides shorter to keep pace with the Moogle. She didnt notice the peoples looks as much anymore. She had stopped noticeing after the first few towns she visited. People always looked at her funny. Hearing the other speak up to her the Ronso looked down and thought about an asnwer to give.
"Dont know. Only been here a day. Maybe the desert holds something to test skills on."
She suggested, waving her hand out toward the vast desert before them.

The moogle nodded and hurriedly fastened her pace seeing how the ronso was struggling to slow down for her.
"just a sec"
loosening her wrapping around her back she revealed her bat like wings and waved them about ascending into the air and just hovering next to the ronsos shoulders then flew beside her at a much swifter pace.
as they made there way to desert outside the city a stall owner watched them and shouted out.
"you ladies headed into the desert. you sure dont look prepared"
rumple stared at him then hovered down. interested in what he had to say.
"what do you mean old man?"
"well little wippersnapper the desert is a harsh place the ronso looks like she can handle herself but you"
"i can handle myself just fine"
"here, better take this just in case"
the man threw them a potion which rumple caught then he turned round back to his store. she looked at him rather oddly it seemed like a genuine potion but why was he just givingit to them. she was quite confused but pocketed it anyway. with a twirl around she hovered back to shamari as they walked out into the vast desert and scorching sun.
(sorry i havnt posted much was away for the weekend but promise ill post lots now)

Shamari paused for a moment to watch Rumple reveil her bat wings. Maybe she was taken aback by this, but she didnt show it. Starting off again she could now walk at her own pace, which was a big relief, and headed out to the desert with her new friend.
Hearing a voice call to them, as they were the only two ladies seen leaving, the Ronso turned to look at the one who called out. Crossing her arms she didnt bother with an answer. If he couldnt tell they were headed to the desert then he was blind. She could also see Rumple get defenceive when the man questioned her ability, this made her smile inwardly, but only that.
After the 'transaction' was doen between the two, she let the moogle fly ahead a bit while she kept an eye on the man. When Rumple was a fet steps ahead of her she turned and followed after the moogle, catching up in a few steps, but catching up just the same.
"Why did he give you that, Shamari wonders."
She said, more to herself, but still a question directed at Rumple.
((its alright. We all cant be on all the time >^,^< ))

"i honestly couldn't tell you kupo. maybe we should be a bit careful before we use it"
with a flap of her wings she moved forward. the desert seemed to stretch out for miles and rumple only hoped shamari was good at directions and coping with such a trek, rumple had never been across such harsh terrain and the heat already made her weary. journeying with the ronso made it easier knowing there was someone there to help you out if the heat became to much but it still wasn't easy. they seemed to walk for miles.
"phew* certainly is hot kupo, Pant* im so exhausted kupo"
the sun glared down as she covered her eyes then as she lowered to her feet for a rest a huge shadow emerged over them cooling then down.
"ahh, much better. thanks kupo. how did u make it so cool?"

Shamari offered a shrug of her shoulders in reply to wha tshe said. They would have to be carful out here anyway, the desert wasnt to be taken lightly.
She began to get hot though, making it harder for her to walk, but probably not as much as it was affecting Rumple. Taking off her cloak she cast it over her shoulder so she didnt disguard it.
"Shamari didnt."
Was her only reply before she reached to her back and pulled out the two halfs of her lance. Putting the two pieces together she looked up at what was casting the shadow and took a fighters stance.

rumple scratched her head. strange, at least it was cooler. when she looked at shamari she watched as she drew her decorated lances and then took a fighting stance.
she was a bit shocked and fought she want to fight her but as she watched the ronso look up she did too seeing a huge figure that had cast the shadow down upon her its huge flapping wing above as a feather fell towards her lading on her face with her gapping mouth.
it was a huge Zuu fiend and gave out a screeching cry as it bellowed out barring its claws and plummeting towards them ready to plunge its talons into flesh as it huge mouth opened drolling and baring its teeth. feather blew everywhere in the sky as it did.
rumple jumped quickly up rolling out of the way and landing next to shamari out of the way as it flew down to strike, its huge body an overwhelming site as it came in for the kill. rumple couldnt help but be a little shaken.

Shamari bent her knees slightly, tensing her muscels to get ready to jump at the Zuu feind. With a roar she launched herself up, using the lance pole as leverage to get off the ground, and dragged the scythe blade along the feinds side. Landing slightly behind the feind the Ronso turned to face it again, hoping the creatures attention had turned to her and not Rumple.
Huffing through her nose she started at a run again toward the feind, relying on her dragoon skill to jump the creature again and perhaps land in its back so she could get a better hit in. The side shot should have been enough for any other creature, but this one was bigger than most other things she had fought so far.

Rumple watched as shamari burst into action over the huge flying creature and swinging her lance across it as it roared in anger swooping up again. rumble rolled back as its razor sharp claws barely skimmed her then as she picked herself up she watched shamari jump up and land on its back.
the creature gave a throttling roar rushing across the sands as it fle skimming the surface and trying to blow shamari of then gliding into the air and spinning.
rumple watched on still shaken and oar struck as she watched. shaking her head to snap out of it she tried to think of a way she could help but the creature was to high up. she had to try thou. pushing of the ground she launched herself up to try and meet the beast head on as it flew back down.
