All of Kiara's practiced grace and elogance vanished as thirst and lack of sleep caught up with her. She had been travelling in that plain land for so long, she thought she would never escape. Her feet moved as though they had a mind of their own, her eyes sagged, half closed. She still stood straight, but she appeared almost as the walking dead. She was so weary that she didn't notice that she had now begun to walk in a forest. She wandered off the path without really realizing it, her feet leading her to what she truly desired. Finally, when even her feet could go no further, she collapsed in a daze. She hands fell in front of her, dipping into something cool and wet. It took her a long time to realize what it was, but when she did she could have cried.
No matter how tired she was, no matter how much her body needed rest, nothing could have awaken her more than the sight before. The touch had been all she needed to get her second wind. Her eye flew open, wide and seeming to sparkle. She stared at the glorious sight before her. There, impossibly enough, was the beautiful sight of a glittering pond. Its vast and tempting blue water shimmered as she stared at it. It seemed to call to her, and she could not help but answer. In one quick movement she struggle to her feet, throwing off her small pack as she did. She disgarded it and began work on her dress. Once she had shed that as well, she took a hesitant step forward. Was it maybe just a mirage, sent to drive her mad with her own desires. She dipped a toe into the water, it was real enough. The water was the perfect temperature, not too hot, and not too cold. Without another moment of hesitation, Kiara jumped into the air, diving into the water. Moments before she broke the surface, her body changed. Her feet stuck together and became a scaley, greenish tail. Gills formed on her neck, allowing her to breath under water, as well as small fins forming at her ears. She had changed into her mermaid form just before she disappeared into the water. Her blonde hair also changed, becoming a beautiful blue colour. Kiara swam to the bottom of the pond with renewed vigor. She seemed to have gained back all of her strength, her tired nature from before completely shed away and forgotten, like the blue dress and pack that now lay on the shore.

"Ah, dreams are merely what we make them out to be. So if this be our dream, then let us have a good one, no?" He eyed Sari. He knew that a lot of them had fear about what was going to happen, even he had to admit he was leery on what was going to happen. Yet something in him compelled him to try and set a good example for them to see things in a optimistic view. One could say it was because of his carefree nature, but it seemed like there was more to it than just that.
"So mi'lady..." his words slipped out as he realized how he greeted her, and remember her reaction last time, so he made quick to change his words, "I mean, Saya," a hopeful smile in her direction as he continued on, "When shall Maya arrive?" After he spoke he wondered if he had the right name, it had been a while since they spoke of her. At the very least he hoped that the lady would be here soon so they could continue on their journey, and a part of him just secretly wished to be inside of the temple, so he could be engulfed by its sheer beauty. So the sooner she arrived, the better.

Soft footsteps decended a staircase that seemed to appear out of nowhere. They were graceful, and slow. Deliberate. The only other sound that could be heard with the footsteps was the soft swish of a poofy, lavender dress.
Seen after this would be long, violet black hair that reached nearly to the floor. Tied off in the back with a good sized purple orb.
Only after that could the face be seen. The woman who hand decended the steps was a sight to behold. She wasn't as beautiful as would be expected, but she had an attractive face. Fair skin and soft pink lips were only accented by snow white wings, which fluttered softly as the woman walked.
"She shall arrive now Rhovanion. And do not be alarmed that I know your name. I know all of you. I am the keeper of Fate after all."

Kaiya was sitting on her knees, on the grass to hopefully prevent from falling again when a new face appeared in the group. That must be Maranwe ... she thought as tried to stand back up. After about halfway getting up, she sat right back down so that she wouldn't fall and gave the girl a wave. "Hiya! I'm Kaiya, but I'm sure you already knew that," Kaiya said with a nervous laugh. "And I don't mean to be rude for sitting down... I just kind of have a small problem with standing," she continued while rubbing the back of her head with her hand.

"Don't worry. There's no need to stand for my entrance. I'm not roalty. Born from a Goddess, sure, but not royalty." She laughed softly...the sound was beautiful. Something only one of heavenly decent could produce.
"Now, I know all of you would like to get on with your journey, but there are a few things I must give to each of you. You see, I know some of you have extraordinary control of your powers, but I also know that it is not good enough. Some of you did not even know you posessed them until you were called here. So to help you with those powers, I have asked Alucia, my mother, for a bit of her own power."
The young woman held out her hand, and in front of her, six amulets appeared. Each one was the color of it's element, but deep inside each orb, a soft silver mist swirled, giving each an eerie glow. "These amulets each contain a seperate element fused with my mother's power. They are mainly for emergency situations. They are to be used when your own power is out of control, or not strong enough. But, though dangerous, they are also very helpful. They can be used freely for small tasks, such as lighting a darkened path, or purifying a cup of water. If they are wrongly used, though...they can have devistating consequences." She waved her hands, and the amulets disappeared, only to appear once more around the necks of the companions.
"Now. To bestow my next gift, I must ask you all to come with me."

A small ripple broke the calm surface of the pond as the tip of a fin momentarily appeared. It vanished just as quickly, a tantalizing and intrguing sight. However, though the water calmed once more, the activites below the surface were far from calm.
The young merwoman swan to and fro, flipping about freely in the water. She was so rejeuvenated, that she forgot she had just been walking for a few days, almost without rest. Her vigor and excitement was something that seemed so at odds with her normally calm demeanor. This was not as strange as it seemed, though. She had been out of her element, travelling in the harsh, dry lands mere hours before. Now that she was back in the water, it was as though she had never travelled to the dry wasteland. Her ocean blue eyes almost blended with the colour of the water, giving her gaze an eerie affect. Yet, in this quiet little forest, away from everyone, who was to notice a merwoman such as herself enjoying a brief swim. Her clothes and pack still lay on the shore, completely forgotten in her excitement. She dove to the depths of the pond, disturbing the fish that hid in the weeds. However, some of them didn't seem to mind, swimming along with her and feeding off her joy. She would likely keep up this small enjoyment for a few more hours, before her hunger beckoned for her to leave the cool waters.

"Well I have to say they look kind of spiffy," Rhovanion said as he started to fumble with the medallion, but realized the further warning behind her words... 'if used the wrong way...' eh he decided it'd best just to leave it against his neck and not bother with it till he needed to. Of course he felt he already had a good control on the nature, not super strong, but why would need that for simple things? So the medallion would be indeed an emergency only item, he would not want to fry his little brain over something stupid, he laughed in his head about it. Also at the thought she might be reading his mind right now... then again it seemed she just knew their name because she was told of it, not that she was an actual psychic or anything, but still he couldn't help but think about it, actually that would be some kind of power. Almost like the power they were handed just now, something quite lethal and devastating in such a small and beautiful container, he bit his mouth before he actually said that out loud, Saya would surely slap him. So instead he decided he would go with his other train of thought.
"Well if this is but a merely partial peek at the power that Alucia is bestowing upon us, I can not but help try to fathom what you are about to show us. Although," He smiled, "I am not complaining or anything, I am actually quite thrilled, and especially to have been chosen to be among this journey with you all." With that said he started to walk towards Mara

Dream of the Infinite Beauty Seorsa smiled softly at the gift. The amulet hanging around her neck glittered with a green and silver light. She lifted it to her face and twirled it gently in her fingers, watching the light reflect off of the green crystal-like orb. It was a beautiful sight to behold. The silver strips of Alucia's magic looked almost like veins of silver life flowing through the pendant. It was entrancing, to say the least, and she couldn't seem to draw her eyes from it's surface. That is, until Mara spoke again. She stood as the young woman spoke of the other gifts. She figured that the girl would be taking them somewhere else, or she would have just given whatever it was to them there.
"This is going to be big, I can feel it." She smiled softly and looked around at the others, as Stryker rose to his feet as well.

Kaiya stood up from her spot and and carefully held the amulet, that was now wrapped around her neck, in her hand like it could break at any second. She heard Saya say something and she nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I think so too." Kaiya was really curious on what this other gift could be. Well what else could it be? Mara had already given them a part of Alucia's power to enhance their own. It was difficult for Kaiya to think of what else Mara could be thinking. "I'm excited to see it," she added in a small whisper, a small smile also playing on her lips.

((Apologies. It's been a long time, but I've had some stuff going on and I haven't been able to get around to posting in all my RPs until now. Been doing them in order of activity, too, so... : P But anyway, I'm here now))
Sari fingered her amulet nervously. Powers? She didn't remember any mention of powers... Or had he said something about it? She didn't really remember, but she didn't think he had. Did she have them? "Bigger than anything I've ever seen..." Sari echoed softly, her voice awestruck. I'm just a country girl... Why would He ever pick me? the golden-haired girl wondered, halfway between distraught and delighted. It was an adventure all right, and the kind people wrote books about later. For the first time, Sari seriously entertained the thought of becoming a hero. From what both Anorad and Maranwe had said, it sounded as though she and the others would really be saving all of Sarnon.
It was a bit of an intimidating task... But Mara still had one bit of help to give them, right? Maybe it's some guidance, Sari thought half-wryly, smiling a little bit. That'd be nice. Still, sitting here was no way of finding out. She tapped Rani's sides gently with her heels, sending him forward into a slow walk. The horse reached out his nose to sniff at Mara when he got near enough, and he seemed comfortable enough with the smell. "Thanks," Sari offered the goddess-born shyly, raising one hand to touch the amulet about her neck. She then nudged Rani to the side a little bit, to wait for Mara to lead the way.

Rhovanion had already made his approach to get closer to Mara, but stopped for but a second as he felt the winds breeze against his back. Something inside of him started to stir. what was it? What could the world want to be telling him now? Could Anorad be whispering to him through the winds once more? He tried his best to listen, but as he sensed deeper into it, he felt something...something different. It was not the gods calling him through mere whisper, but the power of the wind...his power. He could feel it starting to swell up inside of him.
Usually when he used his skill, it was always focusing on an emotion, or just thinking of how the wind could move so freely, but now, he was part of the wind. Was this part of the pendant's power as well? To make one just become part of their element? Would he one day be able to just completely soar through the air? Now that'd be some magic he wouldn't mind.
"So, dear Mara, please," a smile appeared even brighter on his face, "show us what the next gift is, I can't believe what it could be compared to what you have already bestowed to us." After a second of thinking about it, his eyes started to peer up wards. He looked up at clouds, feeling the breeze even stronger now, "the gods really are kind to us."

Farael had not moved from her spot for quite some time, Isi was getting impatient, he wanted to move, wanted to fly, and yet it did not seem like his companion was ever going to rise from her spot on the ground for a very long time. Any attempts he made to get her attention were acknowledged but never followed through, something was on the young elf's mind.
He nudged her gently and looked into her eyes communicating his thoughts. Farael sighed, "I just... I don't know about this whole travel to find somewhere I belong Isi. I mean... what if I just don't belong anywhere? Is there a point to this, to be let down time after time?" she questioned. It looked like she was about to say more but she fell silent.
Isi was used to this from her though, it was rare that she would speak as much as she had, and with Isi it was always more than she would with any other person, and it was for this reason that he never pushed her. He knew that when she felt ready she would talk to him and open up with her thoughts, and until then, his place was by her side, watching over her. Of course, the watching needed some perks, and so with a nibble on her ear, and a look in her eyes Isi flew off into the plains to secure himself some dinner and left Farael to her thoughts.
And deep in thought she was, far into the ending hours of the day. It wasn't until she blinked and tried to look at a rock that she had been staring at for hours that she noticed the light was dimming in the sky. Isi had yet to return, but she did not worry about him, he always found his way back to her, such was part of their bond.
In the mean time, Farael stood and stretched, ignoring the pain her stomach was sending her for her lack of eating.

((sorry I've taken so long to post. I hope this makes up for my absence.))
Mara led them toward a long, seemingly endless hallway. The only light was the crystals that were dimming as they went along. It was quite a change from the indescribable beauty that was the main room, but it didn't contain a goose-pimple giving feeling. It was more of a peaceful, sleepy place, that soothed the mind and put confusion and all bad feelings to rest.
As the hallway went on, separations began to appear in the walls. Some were doors, other stairways going either up or down. She led them to one right in the middle. A stair way leading upward. It too, was filled with the dim blue light, and held the same feeling. She was completely silent, not wanting to disturb the peace. It wasn't wise. The main reason hard feelings were put at rest in this hallway was to keep it calm.
Finally, she reached the top of the stairs and waited for the others to join her. She stood at the door of a room even larger than the main room. A room so large you could not see the back wall and the ceiling seemed light years away. Today, it was vacant. But normally...it was filled with dragons from all around. Today, was special, though, for lining the back wall were mythical creatures of every kind. All big enough to ride and fight. This was the choosing. Where each of them would find one mythic creature to guide them on their journey. One who would carry them for swift runs. One who would fight by their side and protect them when the battle was too harsh.
She turned to the six of them and smiled. "Each of these creatures contains a special soul-aura. This aura is one that will match yours. Perfectly or not, the one who matches best is the one who you will get along with the most, and who you will fight best with. So please, feel free to meet them. They all have the ability to talk through the mind."

Sari followed quietly, remaining on Rani's back until they reached the staircase. The mixblood looked up at it, then gave Rani a pat on the whithers and dismounted. Stairs were not the best for horses - something Rani seemed to agree with, as he hadn't simply continued his ascent.
The staircase was long, but Sari was fit and well and it didn't do much to wind her. She continuously looked back at her horse, though, who had wandered off a bit before seeming to fall asleep. If Rani's comfortable enough to fall asleep... Sari thought, turning back towards the staircase and ascending it quicker now, ...then it's probably safe.
The room at the top was shocking. Sari let out a small gasp, the sheer size of it taking her breath away. And she hadn't even noticed the creatures across the room from her! Not that she could have... The back wall was so far away that she couldn't see it.
Sari's eyes grew wide as Mara spoke. She licked her lips nervously, glancing to the back wall. They would have to fight... Sari had known they would have to, and now they were finding a partner to work with. But Rani's my partner! something inside her protested. Sari began to nibble on her lip, thinking. They see fit to grant us one specifically for fighting... This must be dangerous. Is it right for me to subject Rani to such dangers? He is only a horse... Sari reasoned. Losing Rani due to her own selfishness would be the worst thing on the planet. Perhaps it would be better if he simply stayed home...
Sari's eyes filled with tears at that thought, but it was true. That was what made it so painful... She would have to choose to leave Rani, her safety blanket, her older brother, behind and go out with some new creature. Sari couldn't believe that she and any of these creatures would be as of one mind as she and Rani could be when they went out for long, solitary rides across the plains.
"Thank you," Sari softly told Mara, and though she meant it she said the words with a heavy heart. With that, she turned and began to make the trek to the far wall to meet whichever creature she got along with best.

Seorsa gasped as they reached the large room. Not even she, who had become quite close with Mara, had known about this. She turned to Sari, seeming to read her thoughts. Her frown only increased as she thought of leaving Stryker. She glared and clenched her fists. She shook her head furiously, refusing. There was no way she was leaving Stryker behind. The companion that 'chose' her would just have to get along with Stryker as well. She turned and smiled at Sari, reassuring that she knew her feelings. Her smile showed that they would not have to leave the others behind. That would just not be fair. She place a hand gently on Sari's shoulder and nodded with a smile, then turned to find her new friend. She would turn this into the best. There would be no frustration here. No regret. She refused to let that happen as well.
She stepped forward farther. Looking for eyes that would lock with hers. She closed her eyes gently, trying to feel the spirits of the creatures around her. This would be difficult. But there were so many. She couldn't speak with all of them that quickly. She sighed and prepared for the bombardment of thoughts that was sure to come her way.
