"I doubt that a simple potion will suffice, but I would not stop you from the attempt. The abyss into which she fell has followed her soul back into the waking world. It may pass with time, or it may not, even I cannot be certain. I should advise immediate rest, however. Until we can dispel these clouds from her eyes, or devise an alternative to physical sight, it would be far too dangerous to take her into any engagement. If one of you will convey her, and my unconscious two-footed chauffeur, back to your base, I will be waiting for you there." The shape began to dissipate, severing itself from the rest of Gabriel's shadow as it plucked a tiny sliver of light from his chest. Had Thrais the power to see it, she would have known what it was - one of the last fragile shards of Gabriel's broken heart. With the shimmering fragment tightly in hand, the now-independent shadow simply faded out, drawn through the empyrean to the Chasers' base.

Gabriel groaned softly, trying to sit up again. Losing two pieces of himself in the same half hour was almost more than his body could survive. Reflexively, he took a heavy draft from his flask of stabilizer, the heavily charged serum forcing his dissembled mind back into a single semi-coherent piece.

"if one of us is going to take care of Thrais, let it be me" vice said, standing proudly after hearing her words of kindness "i could not save her from the abyss, so i shall defend her with my life" he says, crossing his arms and standing up straight "let me do this, at least" he said, reaching his hand down to help her up "and when zife gets back, we can scold him together for dumping his job on us" vice says, chuckling as he tries to lighten the mood

"I also want to protect you Thrias!" Maki chirped in with Vice. "I can't heal you or anything like that but I can protect you! Please let me help!" Maki had a strong look in her eye but her voice had the innocence of a child in it eager to protect others.

vice hears maki and smiles as he retracts his hand and turns around, walking away "i forgot, i left one of my swords in my highwind, i will be right back" he says, walking back towards the carrier, tripping on a rock on the ground and falling flat on his face, then sits up, not noticing a strange round silver object on his forehead "ow, that hurt, who puts a rock in the middle of a street anyway" he says, turning back to the others, still oblivious of the ring stuck to his forehead

"Thank god you're alright." he sighed and held her tightly. It was true that her vision was currently shadowed, but he had faith that she would be okay. Helping her up, he slowly led her back to the carrier to rest. "Vice, I understand you need to go to Radiant Garden so take my ship there. The directions to Snowglobe are already there, so after you're down we can all meet to save our fellow companion." setting Thrais down in a seat, he kissed her cheek and leaned to her ear. "Believe it or not the chaser we need to save is actually Scyre...He'll be okay, so just sit tight." leaving her side, he peeked his head outside. He had already seen Ryo left, but he knew that they would meet again soon. He was a strong chaser.
"Maki, Dorinda. How's Gabriel doing?" he asked while kneeling down next to him.

Though Thrais couldn't see the shadow leave, she sensed it's power fade further away from her and knew it had trully left and gone ahead of them. She could hear Gabriel groan, and hoped he was alright..

There was now.. so much inside she wanted to say, to apologize for. But before she could even answer Vice and Maki had voiced their reply to the ..Apparation's sudjestion, and she was enveloped by Prinz's arms for a precious moment. She let herself relax into him for those few seconds, and felt the fear of her blindness ebb away a bit more.

When he released her and helped her up, she turned to both Maki and Vice's voices , thanking them for their offers to help. She didn't doubt Vice could protect her, but Maki's idea of helping also sounded like a good idea.
If Vice was too busy watching Thrais's back, someone had to look after his. She couldn't forgive herself if Vice got injured trying to look after her.
"I appreciate your help, really, thankyou."

With that said, she allowed herself to be lead into the carrier. When Prinz whispered who it was they had to save, a hand to her mouth in surpize. 'Syric?! How could they have possably kidnapped Syric?' But Prinz was right, Syric wasa strong Chaser, he could hold his own till they got him..hopefully.

So the red-headed weaver waited, nodding silently as she felt Prinz move away to see to Gabriel. She wondered.. just how much he knew about her now. Some of what passed between them, not even she remembered herself.

Gabriel tried to get to his feet, and promptly failed. He shook his head as hard as he could, trying to knock the little stars down where they floated past his eyes, and eventually settled on leaning against his own knees. "Two in one day...bloody hell." His eyes, now almost nothing BUT red, flicked from face to face, brighter and colder and more calculating than before. "Vice, your offer is appreciated, but I would suggest that you stay with the others and head for this Snowglobe place. I really should thank you, I'd have been space dust if you hadn't thrown up that shield, but right now they'll need your powers backing them up on the front line. If we can get back to base, Thrais and I will be alright, if someone would give us a lift. If Maki doesn't object, there's a shortcut we could take that would give her a little more combat practice, and the Cactuar is roomy enough to comfortably sit three, wings included." He managed a half smile, but the toll on his body and mind were quite visible.

vice stands up and brushes himself off, as the ring falls off his forehead and lands in front of his foot with a ringing noise "what in the world is this?" he says, bending down and picking up the ring, then examining it "i have never seen a ring quite like this before" he says, slipping it onto his right hand ring finger "strange....it is a perfect fit...." he trails off, looking at the simple design with a blue gem placed in the middle of the ring, then runs over to Prinz and stops next to him "hey, Prinz, what do you make of this?" he says, holding up his right hand and showing Prinz the ring "i found it on the ground when i tripped on a bump in the street"

"Ah Gabriel! Lemme help you!" Maki said grabbing his arm and swinging it over her shoulder. "Let's get you to the ship." Maki smiled heaving him up and helping his tired body move towards the Cactuar.

"I'll manage, honest, I'll crawl if I have to. I'd worry more about Thrais." Gabriel looked back to the Weaver, and to the other Chasers grouped around her. Where hours before he'd have been suspicious of them to the last, he found himself glad to have met them, this close to the end. He lowered his voice carefully, almost as if speaking only to himself. "And not just because of her eyes."

Thrais thought about what was to come... and she felt disapointed, Gabriel was right, she be more of a hinderance if she went with them on the mission. It left a bitter taste in her mouth just thinking about it. What if someone got hurt?! What if they were in danger and needed her help?!
The feeling of being useless was something she wasn't unfamiliar with, but it was still a pain in the neck.

Soon the weaver picked up on the sound of Maki's shuffling feet as she brought Gabriel inside. thoguh she couldn't see them, she felt ther presence, and tugged in the destiny threads connecting them for good measure. At least she had something to use. She could tug on them if she needed to be lead to someone. It would be avoiding obsticles that would be the problem. Destiny threads didn't help with going through walls.

" Is Gabriel ok Maki?" she would ask, looking in various places, but in the general direction she heard them comming from.

"You can ask him yourself Thrais since he's next to you." Maki laughed, "I really can't say how he's feeling." Maki sat down in the Gummi ship driver seat and began to prep up the ship for takeoff. "Where're we headed and what way did you want to take Gabriel?"

Gabriel dug through his pockets and produced the navi-g from the wreck of the Hellwind. The precious chunk of wossname was in about the same condition as he was, but it was completely functional. "Here, it'll copy my charts into your system. The back door from here should show up on your screens." He worked against the arm of his seat until it faced where Thrais sat. "And here I thought you and I had nothing in common, cousin."

Thrais was surprized to say the very least at Gabriels words. They didn't seem to make sense to her, the last time she checked.. he wasn't a weaver.. or was he? He didn't have any wings, but its not whats on the outside that matters right?
"w-what... do you mean?" The weaver inched closer to the soudn of his voice, almost to the edge of her chair. "I wnat to thankyou too, or maybe, it wans't you who- well... sorry, not much fo this makes sense does it?"

Maki held up the Navi-g from Gabriel and examined it carefully before glancing at the module to see where it was suppose to be inserted. She found a relatively homely looking crevice and placed the Navi-G comforatably in it. A small gate appeared along with a map in the corner of her window. "Is everyone on board and ready to go?" She called over her shoulder, flicking a couple more switches and buttons.
