Tomoyo stole up the gangplank to the ship, easily avoiding the bored gaze of the watchman. Strapped to her hip was a black laquer box, lined with heavy silk to deaden the sound of pearls hitting each other. She pulled out the only thing she had brought with her besides the box and her sword, a can of oil, and poured the contents onto the hinges of the hatch leading below. After waiting a moment, the cautiously tipped it open, and it swung smoothly open.

She stole inside, and wasted no time in observing her surroundings, heading directly for the cargo bay. All the sailors had spent the night on shore, eager for what the town could offer them. Finding the crate of pearls took little time without the need to constantly be on guard. Prying the wooden boards away, Tomoyo emptied the contents into her box. With that done, the only thing left to do was slip away from the ship.

She was just out of the door when, through too many days at sea or shoddy worksmanship, the board under her right foot collapsed with a sickening crack. The watchman was already halfway across the deck, and Tomoyo's foot was stuck ankle deep. Her hand jerked up almost of its own accord to pull her sword out of her sheath and cut the man down, before a childish, girly voice cut coldly through her thoughts.

You rotten THIEVES!

Tomoyo froze. Wrenching her foot out of the hole, she blindly raced to the ship's side and threw herself into the water. She swam as long as she could hold her breathe, then pulled herself onto the docks. Why had she froze? She was a better warrior than that. But more disturbing...why had she heard her voice? Melora. What on earth was that child doing now, she wondered?

(( Uh... I tried to post yesterday and it didnt work, some error with a long word that i have clue what it meant. BUT! Alas! I can post now, muahahaha! domokun ))

"This is no game! This is war! A war over who gets the wondrous treasure of The Lost Temple!” Chi shouted as he caught up to the older teen. “Now prepare yourself evil jungle man… thing.” The small boy lunged his newly found sword (which just so happened to come out of thin air, in fact it was just air) and aimed for Fai’s stomach.

Fai blinked in amusement, jumping up and landing behind Chi, tilting his head to the side again and smirking. "I'm a thing now, eh?" He said, laughing. "Alright then mighty ninja, we'll see who gets the treasure first. But only if you think of a better name for whatever I am, instead of 'Jungle man thing', because that's just...Odd."

Tomi finally got down to his little hiding spot, dropping down on his makeshift bed as he took off his sword and sheath quietly, placing them beside him as he looked around the dimly lit room. He smirked quietly as he saw the marks on his wall beside him, taking a dagger hanging on the wall and dragging a line through four checks. Another kill...Another wonderful kill...

He counted to tally marks in his head, though he knew the number perfectly by now. But it always reminded him of the...Wonderful little events, each playing out perfectly in his head.

Sadly, though, he could never remember the first few kills, the lines shaky, almost as if he were scared to mark them. Why couldn't he remembered...They were the first kills, something that he would have to cherish. And why was his hand so shaky when he had carved them? This bothered him to no end.

Sighing he shook his head, and finished counting, smiling in pleasure at the number of souls ripped from their homes by him.

'102...That's a lovely number.'

Tomoyo entered the theater with an inward sigh and a more than usual gloomy disposition. After stealing the pearls-no, the incident that happened-something kept her off her balance, and set her on edge. It wasn't a pleasant feeling, and she wanted to be rid of it as soon as possible.

As she walked in, she could hear a loud, exuberant voice proclaiming something about...jungle men? Chi, no doubt.

“Ah. Hey!” Chi shouted spinning around to face Fai. “Alright fine, how about jungle monkey? Nah, monkey will be just fine! Don’t you agree evil lettuce monkey?” Chi tilted his head slightly with a big ‘evil’ grin on his face. “First one to get to the treasure gets to keep it! Two rules; one hand must remain on your head at all times, and you have to sing!” Chi laughed at the silly rules he had just made up, he figured Fai would give up at the mention of singing. His next words came in a rapid stream with no breaths of air, “The treasures on the roof hidden inside one of the horse statues mouths!” He took off down the hall ay a sprint with his right hand on his head singing a random tune.

And Fai...Being Fai and deciding that he wanted to be silly at that very moment, took off after him singing a different tune with his hand on his head.

Just because he was a ninja, did NOT mean he couldn't act like a child when he wanted to. He was Fai; he could do anything and get away with it. And if that meant singing, well then, so be it.

Tomi rose his head up as he heard footsteps...And singing?, then sighed and shook his head and closed his eyes. "Those thieves are being foolish...Playing around like children..." He said, his voice deep and almost frightening when he was relaxed. "Ah, well, let them play." He smirked, then frowned a little.

"But...If they continued to stomp on the floor...I will have no choice..." He mumbled.

"But to punish them."

“Have you seen the ghost of John?! Long white bones-" Chi rang out through the hallways as he slid on his feet around a turn and started up some stairs. "with the skin all gone! OooooOooOoooo" He continued on with his childish song he remembered singing when he was much smaller.

"Fai is a big fat scary lettuce jungle monkey who cant tell fools gold from the real thing!" Chi sang in a horribly off tune tone. He was trying so hard to keep singing and not burst into laughter at Fai's singing.

Instead of running up the stairs one step at a time he would step two at a time making his body bobbed back and forth as a chicken would, his hand on his head only helped that mental image.

Tomoyo unhooked the pearl box from her belt, and stared down at it, considering. As long as she was home, she might as well do it the easy way...

Long shadows crept towards her, reaching up with faded tendrils. They converged onto the box, spiriting it away to Tomoyo's room. At the same time, a pitch black cloak wrapped itself around the girl, pulling her through wood, stone, plaster, darkness, and silence. Reluctantly, the shadows reached up, gently pushing Tomoyo onto the roof. As soon as she was completely free, Tomoyo sat down and laid her sword by her side. It had been a long time since she had meditated.

Saku carefully tucked her newly sharpened fans into her kimono as she stepped out of her room. She waved a hand infront of her face as she yawned and made her way towards some stairs. The mission she would set off on later that evening was on her mind. What weapons would be needed, what clothing she should wear, did it call for stealth or a mere disguise. Perhaps she would mull this over while swooning the men in the village and stealing their money. Saku may seem a bit highclass and uptight at times, but playing the flirtatiouse young girl was always a fun activity to pass the time.

[[- I apologize for not seeing your reply on the bottom of page 65 sotogx. It was so small and at the bottom, I kept checking back and wondering why you never replied, but you did and I just missed it. So sorry, I'll get to replying now. ^_^ -]]

Yori's haired pulled outwards as she backed up with the sudden shock of finding Nadeshiko plummeting down upon her. She gulped loudly, fumbling over her feet and trying to avoid the blow, which would've been had the floor boards of her room not been so shabby.
She stepped into a loose plank, quickly flipping herself wards by the heel, and not stopping Nadeshiko as much as it adding lift into the downfall. Now Nadeshiko was no so much a bolt as she was a projectile, taking out Yori by gut and flopping them both to the floor, where Yori lay over, dazed, with Nadeshiko in her lap.
