Olivia nodded, "Alright. Well guess we will meet them later." She smiled a bit encouragingly, "Now don't think you can't do much. You probably know something useful." She looked at him, "Hello. What of the roof? Is a route there secured?" She knew they would have to wait rather than head out in the dark but she wanted to have everything prepared so that come day break they could just get out of there as soon as possible. The longer they waited there, the more those things would come.

Shiloe chased after Toki he knew that everybody had to leave this city tonight. Nobody would last until morning, and him and Toki were the best shot the rest of them had the getting out undetected. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a garbage truck he moved to it. "Hey grease monkey I found a truck get over here and let's get it moving" he shouted while periodic bursts of M4 fire lit up the immediate area.

__________Lauren stiffly smiled back. "I'm not sure that my skills would come in handy. But thanks..." She trailed off, and then mentioned “Are we staying here over night? I thought we’d be out of here…” She looked back out the window, and noticed that the sun had gone down. I can’t even fight in daylight, let alone the dark. She shook the dismal thought out of her head.

Olivia sighed as she glanced out into the darkness, "To be honest so was I but it got dark sooner than I expected." She grinned sardonically, "Time sure flies by when you're having fun huh?" She couldn't help but look down into the darkness, it was pitch black and moans were heard from all around. 'Just when did night sneak up on us?' She bit her lip, 'We could stay here and perhaps encounter more...But we shouldn't stay here...Oh dear god that means traveling in darkness.' She shook her head a bit, bitting her lip harder, "Do you think we can make it out?" She turned to Lauren, "Can you travel at night?"

Toki slides out from under the truck. "I'm already working on it man. We're lucky, everything seems to be intact and this guy didn't pick up any garbage." Toki flips a valve and the back end of the garbage truck opens. "It's almost completely sterile." Toki flips it closed again and runs over to the front end. "If we can get this started, I think we can make it back to the appartment. I wouldn't reccomend taking it too far though. Some of the hydraulics are cut and it's looking like this thing takes deisel." Toki opens the front door and climbs in with the corpse he had shot just minutes ago. "Climb in and get that body out, it shouldn't take me long." Toki breaks the panel underneath the steering wheel, and begins to pick and cut wires. Come one Toki, just short out the right ones. Spark and go, spark and go.

Shiloe chuckles slightly despite all that's going on "Good because i don't want to be a** deep in garbage while somebody else gets to ride up in a nice clean cab." he joked and opened the passenger door "sorry my good man only room for two" he said as he tossed the body out of the cab. "I'll keep them off of us while you get it started" Shiloe told him as he jumped out "just don't shut the back on me!"
With that he jumped down from the cab and fired at a group of approaching zombies. "running low on ammo!" he yelled to Toki

"Huh..." Luke commented as he felt his way through the dark. "I lost sight of them faster than I thought..." The Springfield kept on smacking into places he really wished it wouldn't, like his right kidney. And he really wished he could find someone, anyone. The darkness was.... oppressive, and the pressure he felt was crushing. "What the hell, this is the part in the movie where I valiantly come to the rescue, falling out of the night sky and firing more bullets than there are in the Federal Army Reserve." Luke muttered to himself as he kept going. "Aha! I think I've finally found them!" Luke whispered triumphantly, and winced as the damned Springfield banged his right kidney again. If it wasn't bruised, then he was Optimus Prime. A jump and a short sprint in the darkness sent him sprawling towards them about seven feet away. "Clumsy..." He muttered self-derogatorily, getting up and brushing off the imaginary dirt, as well as getting whacked in the kidney by that Springfield.....
((I claim pardon in the name of SCHOOL. I had a buncha activities and clubs this whole week and a buncha projects, if I don't post just assume I'm in one of my quiet moods.))

(*laughs* I'm sorry man, but every time I take that springfeild out for hunting, my strap loosens and I end up hitting myself in the side, or worse. Your post just made me giggle a bit.)
The wires sparked and the engine roared to life. "Got it!" Toki shouts as he sits right side up in the seat. "Climb on top, we're heading back to the alley." Toki makes sure he isn't in the back before he closes the rear and activates the compactor. "There should be enough space with the compactor closed for you to make a decent fox-hole." Toki shouts out the window as he begins to back the truck up. I can't believe it. We might just make it out of the city. Toki smiles and flips off the beepers.

((Haha the good ol' days of smacking myself in the crotch with my Winchester while walking around))
Shiloe climbed onto the truck before Toki had a chance to get away. He took this opportunity to reload his M4 he had the feeling he'd need it to be fresh later. He frowned and thought of his grandparents and how they'd succumbed to this disease. A lone tear ran down his cheek. Quickly he thumbed it away and chastised himself why are you crying you big baby? they're gone, you're not, and if you keep crying and feeling sorry for yourself you'll end up just like them

__________“I’m ready to go whenever you are.” She said to Olivia. “I’m just not sure what the best plan of action is.” Lauren looked back down at the map, and tried to memorize it. “We could go up to the roof, and jump over to the next two buildings and get out, or we can wait and see if the others come back.” Lauren was thinking way too fast, and she closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Damn we’re in a tight spot.”

Olivia nodded as she looked around,"We sure are. I mean, if we stay more can come and then it would be worse. If we go in the dark, then they may ambush us...And we'd be walking blind." She sighed bitting her lip as she tugged at her own hair. This was a lose lose situation in her book, and she didn't like it one bit. She clenched her hands into fists as she tried to calm down, but it was proving rather harder than usual. "Wanna make a run for it then? The roofs and hope we make it?" 'No point waiting here I suppose. Might as well do something.'
(So sorry! I lost my internet at home! So I'm sneaking it right now at school. TwT no! Internet!)

((Ouch, that's tough. I've lost Internet before, and on second question, you had school today? I had Columbus Day off. And you two do realize I'm with you [but (IRL) incredibly confused at your location right now] right? Basically, I'm confused -headscratch-))
"Are you two sure roof surfing's the smartest thing to do at night? A misjump could be pretty bad. As in really bad." Luke noted as he caught up and with them, slightly panting, holding his Mark 23 ready, he wasn't going to use the Springfield yet until he actually tested it a few times.

(I’m just going to assume Luke has been introduced already, for time’s sake. Haha)
__________Lauren shrugged “It would be a bad fall in daylight all the same. Let’s get out of here.” She went out of the small office that they had climbed into from the fire escape, and turned left. She found the stair case titled C and opened the door. It was dark in the stair well, and she leaned over the railing, peering at the bottom three stories below. She waited for the others to come, before starting up. This map says there are seven stories. So we only have four to climb, ending on stair case G, or the roof. This shouldn’t be too bad. Lauren thought trying to be positive.

((Fair 'nuff xD, but I'm not gonna assume you've been introduced to me yet))
"Yes, but at least you can see in broad daylight." Luke muttered to himself as he groped his way up the stairwell. "So...., despite how FUBAR this situation is, I'm good, how're you-......, ehhh, I don't think I got a name." Luke said as he followed her, almost groaning from having to go up another set of stairs, although at least these were less flimsy. "I think we should probably head near a big tree out there. There shouldn't be so many zombies out in the country as in the cities." Luke said as he walked next to Lauren.
