Yakov shoved Jeff back down. "We aren't gonna find him today. According to Katina, they were long gone from where we found you and we are getting the hell out of here before we try anything else."

Jeff was in tears again. He tried fighting against Yakov but his body was too stressed and broken at the moment to do anything more than flail. "He's only 18..." he sobbed.

Jeff felt useless and stupid. There wasn't anything he could do. He couldn't even protect a teenage human let alone a pack of werewolves. Now he was beaten and broken and had no idea what happened to him where ever he was held for how ever long that was. And to top it all off, he was sobbing like a baby.

Yakov shoved both Ally and Brandon. "Okay, everyone up and start packing. We're leaving as soon as we can."

Jeff curled up on the now almost vacant bed. He suddenly felt very alone, even with Yakov there.

Jeff wiped his eyes shakily and nodded. "I'm sorry." He sniffled.

Jeff wasn't expecting that. He put an arm weakly around Yakov but made no move to kiss Yakov back.

Yakov pulled away and frowned at Jeff. "Okay, I realize this isn't the most romantic of moments, but could you humor me a pretend you're happy we're back together again."

Yakov growled. "Fine, you and your mopey a** can stay here and get captured again. I'm gonna go try and save our family." Yakov got up and sulked over to the closet where he stared angrily throwing clothes into a duffel bag.

Jeff cringed. He didn't want Yakov angry with him but he just couldn't deal with it anymore. Nothing ever went right. He always managed to ******** something up. Maybe Yakov was right and staying behind was a good idea. Maybe getting saved had been the worst thing after all.

Yakov started grumbling rather loudly in the closet, and kicking a few things as well. "...basically hand my sister my a**...risk my life AND Brandon's...any stability we had...family in half...or captured...damn fiance...not one second to think about me..." (etc)
