Maureen nodded. "Understandable." She got up and looked through a couple of drawers. "Aha. I do have a straw." She took the girls glass one more time. "I think it'd be a lot easier to use this than to use your hands."

She looked horrified. She cringed away from the weird serpent like thing in her water container.

Yakov thought for a second. "No, I don't think that's gonna work either. We may just have to put you in a corner and throw a tarp over you so I can't see you at all."

Maureen laughed took the straw away. "Okay. If you really want to keep using your hands go ahead.

Ally laughed. "France was less cliche four hundred years ago, I assure you. But now, yes, I would agree with you." Ally stopped abruptly and looked at the girl. He stared for a moment and then smiled. "Well, it seems she can talk."

Ally's smile grew. "It is as good name as any I suppose, and far more beautiful than some. I'm sure if it is wrong she will let us know soon enough."

Schtephon'ai blinked over at them and cocked her head. Her think gross dirty hair fell into her face. She spent a couple minutes fighting with it, growling under her breath.
