“Oho, you forgot me already? I thought I was special!” She grinned, turning and walking backwards to meet his eyes with her own. “Maybe this will jog your memory: forty-seven~”
A memory would reignite in the prince’s mind--Five years ago. A woman with madness in her eye, standing in the center of the royal court, laughing her guts out while shouting that number, over and over and over again… the high ceiling, lit with sunlight, somehow growing darker as her composure was crushed under the judge’s gavel—it was the first time she’d confessed how many men, women and children she’d murdered.
Geth would know this woman well. Her real name was Angela, and she was the Photobooth killer. His father had personally ordered her execution. She had poised as a photographer’s wife, and whenever people came to her to get their photos taken to commemorate moments in their lives they wanted to cherish forever, she shot them with a pistol hidden behind her pictograph.
No one knew why. Or even how many she’d killed, before she snapped. But they did know she escaped death row, all on her own, using one of the bars of her own jail cell as a spear to kill a dozen guards on her way out.
Bison sighed, looking away from the two: he’d best keep out of this.
~*~
Javert slowly lowered one leg onto the plants, and then soon the other—he landed on his left foot wrong, however, and almost fell backwards: thankfully a soldier had been there to grab his arm. He probably wouldn’t have gone off the ledge, but he was still uncomfortably close…
“Indeed. You investigate there—I’ll test my fortune at the trading station.” He nodded, actually using his cane to walk across the mesh of greenery—it was solid, but uneven, and falling on his old hip was a very real possibility.
When he reached there, he nodded to the operator: the man who oversaw the trades and made sure the town got a cut of the profits.
“Sir.” He tipped his hat, flashing his badge at the individual. “What do you know of this man?” He asked, holding up the picture of Judath Mauve had prepared for them.

F-Forty s-? Geth stared at her in shock for a moment before frowning. "You..You crazy b***h," he said, probably louder than he should have. That woman had killed his people. Innocent people. And not just that. No, no. She had killed children. Children for goodness sakes! And all for what? Some sick game? Paul was right, she was a sick b*tch. She was the one that deserved to be punched in the jaw by Judath. She was the one that deserved to have died during that fight against the naval ship!
Geth tried to keep his composure, tried to keep his temper even but he couldn't. No he could, but he wouldn't. This woman. She deserved to die for what she did. And die she would. He'd rather die than walk another inch with her. Now let's just hope Judath's aim was as good as he hoped it was.
With that thought, he lunged forward and hit her as hard as possible with his shield. He knew he couldn't kill her. No not right now. She was definitely a better fighter, but this did bring up something else. Right now they were mostly invisible to the snipers and while that was good in all, it meant they'd have more people to deal with once inside. Better to get them out of the way now and possibly get rid of a murderer in the process if possible. Especially considering that he had no doubts in his mind that she'd be a whole bunch of willing to get rid of him once they got inside if she found the opportunity to do so.

Looking up as he heard a voice, the man looked at the investigator suspiciously. He didn't like it when these kinds came about with their fancy smancy attitudes. They always felt like the town owed them something and even worse they always seemed to expect the town to become a bunch of snitches on the drop of a hat. Nah they weren't snitches. They kept their mouths shut when they could.
The picture though, it did worry him. What had Judath gotten himself into now that he was bein looked for by the United Columbus? "What about 'im?"

He lunged forward—but by the time his shield was where she was supposed to be, she was behind him—and a dagger was on his neck.
“Tch-tch, little boy~” She hummed, “That was clumsy of you… you know…” she leaned in, “I’ve always wanted to pay your old man back for trying to kill me off… you-“
But she was hoisted off him—and Geth, as well, was hoisted into the air as well, kept well at arms length from one another by Bison, who was suspending both up by their collars. He looked between the two, eyes still narrow, and spoke like a father talking down to his two quarrelsome children. “Sherspire first. Trying to destroy world. Your f@#king fight can wait.”
“Oh, it won’t be fight. He’ll be forty-eight.” She grinned quite coldly at him. “While you sleep, boy. While you sleep.”
A gunshot above them—Judath, no doubt, because neither of them had a new hole in their bodies. Bison sighed, then dropped them both, continuing his walk forward. Still 400 meters more.
~*~
"He's kidnapped the prince." He told him flatly, "A capital crime to both him and all who aids him. If I have any reason to suspect you withhold even the slightest scrap of information from me, I'm within my rights to torture you before your execution to retrieve it. Likewise, cooperation with our investigation will prove quite rewarding: information that is used in finding this pirate will be compensated in ways you've never even dreamed."
"Now, what can you tell me of this man?

For a moment he panicked, not sure what to do. Before he got much time to do so though, he felt himself suddenly be lifted upwards and away from her. It was at this point, his held breath was released and he gave a sigh. Bison was right. This wasn't the time for this. No they had to focus on Sherspire, even if her being around seemed to ruin the possibility of that entirely. After all, who was to say she wouldn't just turn on them when she got a chance?
He hated this situation so much, but nonetheless, he regained his composure and tried to keep calm. "In your dreams siren," he said rather coldly in return as he continued walking forward, Judath's bullet whizzing over them as they did so.
In a matter of time, the wall was reached, getting them finally out of the line of sight of snipers and allowing them to move onto the next part, getting in...
~*~
The pirate frowned some at the investigator's threat, not liking it at all. Worse yet though was his claim. Damned if he let that spoiled brat bring down a good captain like Judath. "Jude didn't kidnap that damned brat. The prince hired him. The kid had some plan he wanted done and he hired some pirate to do it since your navy is more than preoccupied at the moment. Jude just happened to be the one the kid picked. Ain't nobodies wish but his own really. Judes just doin what the kid asks him to."

She snorted, then continued to march forward with them, Bison’s exasperation finally taking the look of mild terror off this face. Now a babysitter more than anything, he kept between them, equally angry at both: Geth shouldn’t be so selfish as to put their lives at risk for his petty revenge, but Kamel shouldn’t have poked the bear at this very inopportune time.
Another gunshot above them—they could actually hear the enemy’s death rattle as the bullet finished her off. They closed their ground with the wall, after which Bison pulled out a rather large grappling hook—swinging it around, he launched it onto the wall, secured the rope, then gestured for one of those two to go up: Kamel volunteered.
She started rappelling up, and Bison followed (so no kicks or grabs would be exchanged between the two) yanking himself up over large chunks of rope at a time. Another gunshot came from Judath—a breathless gasp followed, but they never saw who was shot: presumably it was someone trying to dislodge the grappling hook.
Kamel reached the top first, and drew out her pistol to fire at some unseen enemy. Bison came up next, and brandished his sword as he charged forward, revving it up so it’d begin to oscillate, and when Geth came up top, he’d see:
They were on a walkway atop the metal wall, where several corpses lay: From Judath’s sniping. There were several rifles on the ground, if Geth wanted to scavenge. Behind him, the path went for a ways then ended at the mountain, where a metal door prevented them from entering. Ahead was the turret, which was manned by a couple enemy soldiers—three of which were dead as Kamel shot another and while Bison turned one man into pulp with one swipe of his sword.
There’d be no shortage of things for Geth to do.
~*~
“As a matter of fact, I believe you. But would you happen to know what this plan is?” He further inquired: he absolutely believed the man’s statement, considering it perfectly explained why Geth was so insistent against coming home. But he needed to know WHY…

"Not sure exactly. He told 'em to stay hush hush ya know? And since I didn't go meself I wouldn' know. The only hint I might have is it has somethin ta do with Sherspire. Dun know what though," the man said with a frown," he's your prince so I spose you'd know better than any of us.
~*~
Climbing up quickly, the prince was glad once he was finally up on the wall and not dangling over the edge in a life or death situation. The possibility of being shot was much more preferable truly. Anyways, time to get to work.
First, the prince moved to the nearest guard, grabbing a few bullet cartridges and a pistol off of him. He then carefully slid a rifle over his shoulder, trading it out for the shield which he moved to his arm. Then, just like that, he extended it, blocking a blow directed towards Bison. Once blocked, he turned his arm and proceeded to bash the side of the shield into the guard's head before extending his leg to kick another man away from Bison, who seemed to be their main target oddly enough. Or well, not odd, he guessed. After all, he was quite...intimidating.
He was doing a decent job really, at least keeping enemies away from the man's rear. Bullets though...those were a little harder to block He tried his hardest really, but really the only thing he could do with those was be an accidental meat shield, which he was. Two times actually. Thankfully though his shield did deflect some. Even more so though, they were able to end the battle quickly.
Once all the men were down either unconscious or otherwise, the brunette gave a sigh. Reinforcements would surely be here soon, but by then they'd have Judath and, well, the numbers would definitely not matter as much once he'd arrived.

Geth proved to be astonishingly helpful at killing the guards: he had also inadvertaintly figured out their main fighting synergy--the big guy was scarier, so people targeted him, letting the much less intimidating Kamel pick them off at her leasure. Despite this, Bison usually walked away with a higher kill count: of the 11 or men so up top, he'd personally killed five. Left him with a few cuts, a bullet in his chest (a good place to be shot, if it avoided the heart), and a gash running down his cheek that stained his shirt a little.
"Renfocements will unlock that door for us." Bison stated flatly, walking over to the door and opening up the case on his back, taking out that familiar pistol-tripod. "I'll set up defenses here."
"Gotta admit, forty-eight, I thought you'd s**t yourself." She grinned at the prince, relaxing her tense shoulders--unsurprisingly, she was free of any mark or bruise from their battle. "Nice to know you're a pisser~"
"Don't start." Bison moaned, digging out some mines and trip-wires. "Ruin all my fun." She stuck her tongue out, "We can't do anything till Judath gets his fat a** over here, I don't want to get bored!"
~*~
“Sherspire. The Velkian General. I see.”
The worry in his voice would be impossible to hear to an untrained man with an ear for emotional betrayals.
“Well, what more can you tell me of this Judath individual. Any information at all would be helpful.”

"You're not really good at counting are you. He was forty-eight," he said simply, pointing to a lifeless corpse on the ground. He then started moving about, grabbing cartridges from guns and pockets and setting them in a pile for either Bison or Judath to grab. He then put his rifle on the ledge, looking through the scope just to make sure the snipers were not hindering Judath's journey over. He could do nothing about it really other than maybe scare them down, considering he was a bad shot, but he was sure even that would help the redhead a tiny bit. He, thus, took a few shots, deterring the movement of any of the other people for a bit while Judath made his way over.
Soon though the rifle had to be abandoned as the door swung open wide, the reinforcements coming much sooner than he'd expected. Bison, too had to end his series of trips and wires prematurely as a few shots were sent his way.
Turning his head, he watched as ten to twelve reinforcements walked through the doors. He then slid his shield off his back and moved towards the other two. Before he could close the gap though, a smoke screen was put down. It was an irritant, making his eyes water and causing him to reel back. He couldn't see the two anywhere though it appeared they'd been just bit disorientated as well as a few men slipped through, goggles on, right to the side of the smoke the prince was on. With the gun trained on him, he really had no choice, but to stay where he was and attempt to reach for his pistol. Before he could even react though, a bang went off from behind him, followed by two more to finish off the other two.

“Wow. Clearly your wits about as sharp as your shield, fouty-eight. Did one of the dead guys come up with that or is your sense of humor really that stiff?” She arrogantly smirked, causing Bison to roll his eyes as he continued to work.
MEANWHILE
Judath was making the trek his compatriots had made, a weary little frown on his face. He had no idea what Kamel had said to Geth to make him do something that suicidal (thank you Bison—both those guys would get whippings from him) but he wasn’t looking forward to being their babysitter for those two. Lord knows he couldn’t just pick them apart like Bison could.
When he got to the wall and started leasurely climbing up, he heard a loud bang as the door was thrown open and the pistol went off—he blinked, then started to scale the rope like he meant it, abandoning any leisurely pretenses as he heard the wall get stormed, and saw some smoke leak out from the side of the wall. Well, crap—they weren’t wasting any time, were they?
He hopped up onto the wall, outside the smoke screen, where men were filing into it—he waved, holding his head over the side of the wall with his arms, legs still dangling off the side of the wall.
“Hello gents.”
He pulled out his pistol and shot a grenade in one of the men’s pockets—It exploded right there, and he avoided the blast by dropping down and hanging from the edge of the wall with his fake arm. When the blast quickly subsided, he pulled himself up, shot three times into the fog, and killed the three men threatening his crew.
“Bison, I know we had beans for breakfast but you’ve got to learn to hold that sh$t in.” He smirked at his own bad joke, “Kamel, Geth, get your asses out here and lets go: they got the door for us, didn’t they?
HE stomped on the face of one of the still barely alive soldiers. He’d be put out of his misery soon.

Turning about, he spotted Judath behind him, swooping in a saving the day just as he expected. Alright, so he didn't exactly predict that, but he did predict that things would get a lot easier once he arrived. No that anyone should take anything from that. It's no like he respected him or revered him or anything. It was just a logical fact and nothing more. Yeah. A logical fact that was based on aim and not facial features or personality. Just aim and skill.
Smiling some at the man's stupid little joke, he nodded some and followed after Judath, trying to ignore the pained yelp from a soldier as Judath stepped on him. Poor guy. He almost felt bad for them, almost...
Moving through the doors and down the hall, he jumped just a bit as the doors were closed behind him, giving Bison some extra protection from hallway snipers. He quickly turned around though and followed Judath, not wanting to get too far apart from the captain, knowing that to do so would be a huge mistake. "Where to first, he whispered, trying to be quiet, as he assumed they wanted to go without being spotted for as long as possible.

With the soldiers dead, his crew left the smokescreen as a wind blew it out of their faces. Kamel stepped forward, as Judath had instructed, while Bison merely nodded, going back to finishing his mines and trip-wires: the next force to try and ambush him would have a great deal more to deal with than they bargained for.
Judath walked into the hall, and Kamel and Geth followed—he shut the door behind him, then snickered as Geth whispered, responding with a very normal voice.
“Hell, they know we’re here, no need to talk like that. I doubt sherspire will think much of four suicidal pirates—certainly not enough to interrupt his evening plans.”
The hallway was lined with steel walls, floors, and ceilings, giving it the appearance of a bunker. There were only two ways to go from here—to the right, and forward: they were straight hallways, and went for quite a bit before turning. No way to really tell from here where forward was—if only he’d thought to keep one of the solders alive for interrogation.
“…lets go, then.” He shrugged to himself, stomping forward—not long down the hall they’d run across a door on the left wall—he kicked it open without consulting his teammates first, and within he found a maid—a entirely unassuming woman clearly not of millitary breed. She gasped as she saw Judath, and he merely grinned.
“Hey, you. Where’s Sherspire?”
She stepped back, tripping over a basket on the ground, eyes wide with a fear normally reserved for deer with the sunset stuck in their eyes.
“I… I can’t tell you… he’d have me killed…!”
“Oh, Kamel here will do a lot worse. Why dontcha show her, hon?” He nodded his head at the woman, an invitation for her to do her work upon the terrified servant.

"Four," he asked looking a tad surprised before nodding. He supposed they did think he was a pirate didn't they? After all, they wouldn't actually have a clue as to what was going on. They would just know that a group of pirates had entered for what seemed like no reason and started killing their men. They probably thought they were just here to rob the place or something.
Speaking of this place, it was odd looking, so militaristic. Even the Columbus' forts looked a little less cold than this place. It was hard to think anyone here could possibly have much morale. This place just looked like a prison. Cold, metal walls, small torches, and not even a bit of sunlight leaking in. It was depressing to think anyone had to live in this place, even if they were the enemy.
Walking close behind, he jumped suddenly as Judath kicked a door open. He then stared for a moment before entering. Inside was a maid. The poor woman looked scared to death with good reason. After all, here stomped in a bunch of strangers.
"No, no. Leave her be. She's innocent," he said with a frown as he took a place in front of her, daring them to move. He then waited for a moment before offering her his hand. "We aren't going to hurt you, I promise. And either is Sherspire. I'll make sure of it personally if I have to miss," he said before lifting a hand and lightly brushing a piece of hair from her eyes.

“Then please just leave me alone!” She begged, flinching away from his hand and backing away farther, “If you mean it just go please!”
“We don’t have TIME for appeasement, forty-eight. If she cooperates I won’t hurt her too bad.” Kamel grunted, cracking her knuckles as she pushed the prince aside. The servant woman squealed, hunching back in the corner while pleadingly looking to Geth: she wasn’t going to cooperate, but she was still counting on Geth to keep his noble vow.
Judath didn’t care either way, so long as she spat out the information: but while they were standing in the room, some guards did turn the corner and spot the open door—they fired a shot, which bounced off the metal door with a rather loud bang. Judath hissed, then went into the room and drew out his pistol, turning the corner to take a killing shot at one of the approaching men.
Aaaaaannnnnny day now.

"Nah nothing I can think of. Other than that he's a captain and a real smart guy. He never talked much about it, ya'know," he said simply before hearing someone call his name, telling him to go over back to work. "Well, that's all I can really tell you sir. So, if you don't mind I have to get back to work."
~*~
Frowning some at that, he tried to think of something else to do, some other way around this. For a moment it seemed there was no way, but he'd promised and a promise was a promise even if it did make things more difficult. What would they do now though?
Then suddenly. BANG! A gunshot went off signaling that they'd been found out. Crap. "Kamel. Here just leave her be. Judath needs your help more than mine. You are a better fighter than me," he said as he slid in between the two of them, both being truthful and trying to keep her from pounding on the girl at the same time. "I'll figure something out. Alright?"
With that said, he turned to the girl, giving her a worried look, really he didn't want her to get harmed. What could he do though? They were going to try to get it out of her one way or another and there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop that were that to happen. "I know you don't want to give up the information, that your scared. If you don't say anything though...there is nothing I can do to help you. We are going to find Sherspire one way or another and when we do they'll blame you. It wasn't my intention for such a thing to happen, but whether you tell us or not I'm sure they'll blame you. If you do tell us though, I can try to protect you as best as possible from anything like that. We could take you out of here, even with us, if you'd let us... He really wasn't sure Judath would allow that, but it was easy to make a promise as long as he kept fighting.
