We have enough Gold in our account (thanks to all you who donated biggrin ) to have a couple of sub forms. The questions is do you think we need them? If we had them what would they be about? or should we just save our gold until we really need a sub form?
Tell me what you think. We are always looking for better ways to improve the guild.

I'm not sure if we need one. I mean, what would we call it? All our cross stitching pics, tips are on the main page and somehow the topic "come in and say hi" has become our free topic, where we talk about everything. So, in my opinion, keep it as it is, and save the money. I mean, it's not going to disappear, is it?

lol thats what I was thinking. We have enough for two sub forms but we only have around five active members. We could move some stuff off the frount page like tips and tricks, links, free talk, ect. but the lack of active members would just make it more clicks for the few active ones to get around with slow enet. I do think that if we get more active members then we should add one. Untill then...It just doesn't seem necessary. But I am still open for suggestions and opinions.

I just had an idea for if we did do a sub form we could move all the free patterns that our guild members have made and ones that we have found on the enet to a sub form by its self. Then at the top have a sticky for a chart generator, tips on making your own patters, and reviews on pattern making programs with downloading links.
It would be easier to find free patterns and show off your own patterns you would like to share.
But do you think we are big enough to start that? and would it draw more members to have more organization?

Hmm, I don't know... I mean, we do have the link page ( I just used it, to buy floss), and there are tips there. But about the free charts, that would be cool. And we could put the chart generator, that criteria gave us there, too. (I just used that too. )

yea I think it would help with organization. it would be less of a posting sub form and more of a helpful info sub form on making your own patterns

Yeah, that's about the only thing I can think of to use a subforum for here. A seperate place to post/share patterns we've made, links, stuff like that.
The main forum could still be where we chat, post our works in progress and all that.

So names for the sub form would be like "free patterns, chart generators, and tips"

that sounds good, freebies are attractive. but only to us, though. Nobody else sees it anyway, since our guild is hidden. Maybe making it private would be good? so for example the people we invite now what awaits them instead of just relying on us. What do you think?

Yea, My only thing with Making it Private on no Hidden is that you don't have to join to be apart or take things like freebies from the guild. I tend to look at things that that as being rewards of being part of the guild. but it couldn't hurt to make it Private for a while i guess. If we get more members when we are Private than when we are Hidden then we will leave it Private.
I like Info Booth and Freebies, sounds good but name suggestions are still open until the sub form is actually made.
When I get some free time I will type up the posting rules and some info on using chart generators ect. Since the form wont be for chatting but for free patterns and info on making free patterns, we don't want to put it up before we give rules to it.
