I've probably mentioned before, though not in this thread, that my not-yet-written-about character, Sculptor, is my attempt at twisting the Phantom of the Opera into something so beautiful he is forced to wear a mask.

Also, the rough basis of "Poppy's Doll" is based off of Jonathan Coulton's song "Creepy Doll," which is why the main character is named John.

Um, the idea for the story about the cat trying to rescue a songbird from a sorceress is based very loosely off of the fairytale "Jorinde and Joringel." Of course, Joringel was never turned into a cat...

I guess that all sort of counts as character yoinking...maybe.
