Serving Gaioh since... uh... Today. Howdy, all! This is the first issue of Gaioh's very own monthly newsletter, the Gaioh Gazette. We plan to bring you the biggest stories affecting your guild each month, as well as a couple of other things, like comics, advertisements from your fellow shinobi, trivia, and contests. Manndar Gorlok Chuunin Exams
By Manndar Gorlok That’s right folks! This last month held the village’s fourth annual chuunin exams, and what a sight they were! The rounds were all matched in attempts to make interesting bouts, and quite a few were. Round one was, by far, the least exciting. But that is to be expected in events such as these because the contestants’ desire to win increases with each victory. Tougura seemed to be defeated by Usada, but a judge’s decision granted the victory to Tougura. In a rather confused bout, Rob, the chuunin exams veteran, came out on top in the battle against Nick. After an intense battle, Echo showed sensibility and honor by ceding the victory to Sachi in order for them to receive medical attention. And to finish round one off, Shin was toasted by Ketsu. Round two was just plain intense. The blind wonder, Sachi, against the puppet prodigy, Ketsu. Ketsu had poisoned Sachi, but even after Sachi submitted the match, Ketsu poured salt in the wound and poured the “antidote” onto the arena floor. It was not the real antidote, and Sachi left pissed. Then match two began. The exam’s veteran, Rob, versus the semi-finalist, Tougura. The fight was heating up, literally. Rob pulled out almost every fire jutsu in his arsenal, but Tougura kept coming full steam. In the end, Rob was yet again denied the glory of victory. "Well I am a bit disappointed that I failed for the third time, but that wont stop me from becoming a chuunin. I mean there is always next one" Rob stated in a later interview. Round three were the fat lady finally sang. Everyone was waiting to see who would be the top rookie genin of the tournament. Both opponents had fought hard to get here, but only one will come out on top. In the end of the bout, Tougura was roasted like a marshmallow leaving Ketsu to be the winner. The match was close, but a new champion had been crowned. "Sure it seemed like an even match for the most part but, there was too much talking, I mean come on it’s a match." Rob stated with a smirk. "Tougura's opponent was too predictable and Tougura is to some extent as well. Honestly I didn’t much care for the match. I mean I have seen better ones" he finished with a smirk. In the end, Ketsu, Tougura, and Sachi were named the village’s newest chuunin. Now, how will they fair against their new peer group?

Recently, You all voted to decide who would be the next clan of Gaioh. While it was a close race between the Feral clan, and the Gyakugan, at the end of the voting period, Gyakugan won out.
Of course, many of us are still confused as to just who or what the hell these people are, so I decided to have a little sit-down with the Seisatsu Clan's creator, the 'Heartless angel' himself, Nekage. Alright. First of all, Where did the Clan come from?
When I heard there was a position for the new clan to be made, I decided right away to enter it. As people on Gaioh are no doubt aware, I am VERY nitpicky and everything when it comes to abilities, jutsus, and character designs. So, though I had NO interest in becoming a clan leader, and acting as thus (Since it’s NOT within Nekage’s character to do something like that) I decided to at least design the clan, and the bloodline behind it, so as to avoid an over-powered, typical, overly done power that gives the use the total edge in battle. So therefore, I entered to design in, and hold some control over all the going ons with it and what not…
When I came up with the Idea for the Gyakugan, I had one thing in mind, and that was something that “the Ghostly Gentlemen” (or Sachi as some may know him) said. That was the fact that we DIDN’T have any eye techniques. Kinda odd since in the Naruto series, it seemed like about 80% of bloodlimits were eye related. Granted, I of all people understand WHY we didn’t, but now I think it was as good a time as any…
Where did the name come from?
The “Seisatsu Clan” and the “Gyakugan”. In the Japanese language, “Seisatsu” literatly means “Reflection”, while the “Gyakugan” defines to the “Reverse-Eye”. The basis I am trying to go for mostly (as you can tell by the name) is “opposites” and “reflections” for someone who fights the eye against the eye technique.
What does the Clan's Kekkei Genkai do?
Its like the uchihas, they had a eye trait. So in thus do these ppl...However, it cant be used till they hit Genin lvl.
At the moment, the Gyakugan users will have a single ability within their first stage of the eye. In the first stage, the user's damage that is dealt to them is instead done to the opponent instead. The user does not feel the pain, but the effects from the attacks will still be done. Also in this stage, the effects of the Gyakugan only last for 3 posts, and is only allowed to be used once in battle. The chakura it costs to use the Gyakugan is about 20% also. What is truly devastating about the Gyakugan though is that though it is a Genjutsu, this lvl of genjutsu CANNOT be dispelled…
At this point and time, I’ve not yet created a name for the next lvl evolutions in the Gyakugan…
Does it affect other gyakugan users?
It effects everyone as it normally would, but if a gyakugan user fights another, and they have their Gyakugans activate at the same time as the other, and/or their posts run atop one another, then it cancels out.
What will you do since people will try to join this clan in hopes of it making them just like Sasuke and Itachi from the Naruto universe?
Once more, I realize that this clan MAY just well become one of the most popular, and sought after bloodlines. That is why I decided that if someone wants to come into the Seisatsu clan, they will need to send a letter to me giving me a long, and I mean LONG explanation as to WHY they deserve to be in the Seisatsu clan. It’s not enough to say “I want to wield the “Gyakugan”, you must also tell me about your character, as well as their fighting stlyings/jutsus so that I can make sure the Gyakugan runs along side it, and thus functions with the shinobi in question….
Are there any defining physical characteristics of the Gyakugan that would reveal the user as a Seisatsu? (such as the pure white of the byakugan?)
The most frustrating time I had when designing this clan and everything was the eye design. See, with the eye based justsus, they must also have a interesting, and meaningful point to their designs. Example, like the first stage of the Sharingan’s design. In reality if people look at it, it’s really 3 “6’s” with their bowls filled in, thus “666”, Satan’s number. Also, the Mangekyou Sharingan, as I discovered from my roommate, when Masashi Kishimoto created the eye technique, he made so that every Mangekyou was different, since he BASED the eye design after a “Kaleidoscope”. That is no design is the same….
After I asked my roommate for help on this (Since at the time I was REALLY having artistic block) I decided that for the eyes to go with the “Reverse” theme even more, and make the color schemes on the eyes an “Inverse” scheme. So in the end result, the “Gyakugan” takes on a “Reverse” color scheme of the eye when the user activates them. The Pupils becoming black, while the Iris’ become the opposite color of w/e the user’s natural eye color is. Therefor, everyone within the clan also has a unique type of eye, unless another person shares that eye color.
Now what I wanted ALSO to do was have some sort of design that runs from the eyes as well. So, for the time (Till I draw up the official eye style drawn up) I decided to have sort of a squared design for the pattern that will run to the center of the eye. Almost like Kimimaru’s seal design if you will…
I think the question on everyone's mind at the moment is, “Who will be the leader of Seisatsu, if not Nekage?” Have you come to a conclusion about this?
Ahh, yes. I want Gaioh to know, that I have chosen the people that will lead the Seisatsu clan. The leader I have known for a time now, and has more then shown me his abilities to lead, and also has a more then well deserving ovation for his etiquette RP style…
Though as to WHO the leaders are…well…you’ll find THAT out when the REST of Gaioh does, and the gates to the Seisatsu clan will fully be open…
Can you at least allay us of our fears that it might, in fact, be Chaos Beaver?
Ha, ha, no...I can ASSURE YOU ALL 100% that it is NOT Chaos Beaver...That was a funny joke though...
