Hey, Hey, Hey, "those" anime fans? you mean kids who refuse to download stuff and therefore they DONT! I mean, just because an anime is popular doesnt mean its uncool. Yes, my favorate anime, welcome to the NHK was just released, but come on. Also, not every 16 yearold can afford to buy a two hundered doller costume.

I think that bad anime fans, or newbies can become good fans. They just need some diversity in their reads and watches.
And if you really have a problem with Detour, then just don't go. It'll probably be better off without people complaining about it all the time instead of trying to find something worth while. :/
There isn't many cons that are as convinient as Detour has been, and if you took a few hours to volunteer, you could be in another area where people can hang out with others that actually have an ethic.
I just find it kind of wrong for you to assume that Anime Detour is stupid for the people that go to it. :/ Instead of bitching about them behind them behind their backs, why not give them some pointers?
Just my two cents. Even though it derailed from the forum topic.
