Meleager shook his head, relieved now that - as far as he could tell - it was all over. They'd covered everything he'd wanted to talk about, at least: when, where, why, and what would happen in the future. "I think that's all. Ah... if you change your mind, you can come and find me here most mornings, or... well, I'm not sure where I'll be during the day, but you can ask around. If anything changes for me, I'll tell you - I'll find you with the tacticians, I expect." The dappled grey stallion smiled, although it was getting to the point in the conversation when he wanted it to be over, quickly. Now that this was sorted, he had one thing on his mind - Castor.
Now that he'd sorted out his own thoughts, worked through them through talking with Jocasta and making decisions - now that he'd been honest with himself - he felt he had come to terms with the fact that the pale crossbreed had been right, and he wrong. As much as he could, anyway. Now he just felt guilty for being so harsh towards his lover. As much as Jocasta was an interesting, intelligent mare to talk to, and this was an important conversation, all he wanted to do was make it up to Castor.
Meleager shifted restlessly, hoping he wasn't too obvious, although he supposed the appaloosa tactician would probably want to be alone to think over her decision. He didn't think she would back out, however: she didn't seem the type. She seemed to have thought this over logically, and logically decided it was a good idea. That pleased him: he was certain he had made the right decision in choosing her.

The violet-eyed mare bobbed her head and smiled. "Alright, if I change my mind I'll come find you, although I doubt I will. And yes," she said with a slightly amused smile, "I am most always with the tacticians, so I shouldn't be too hard to find."
By the looks of it, Meleager was just as eager as she to end the conversation; it wasn't a very.. comfortable thing to talk about, but thankfully they'd avoided talking of the specific act for the most part. With a polite dip of her head, she offered the dappled herdleader a smile. "If nothing comes up before then, I shall see you a week from today in the evening. I know you're a very busy person and I don't wish to keep you from your duties and other important meetings any longer, so good night Meleager," she said with another polite dip of her muzzle, almost catching herself saying the honorific. That would still take a while to get used to.
And with that, the appaloosa turned and began to walk off towards ...well, she wasn't sure where she was going yet, but she needed to think, so likely the tactician's area. She didn't want to run off, in case the dappled stallion needed to add something, but she figured he didn't. Still, she didn't want to be rude if he did.

"Goodnight!" Meleager called after the appaloosa tactician, and breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad that was sorted. He had been so excited about it before, but after that conversation with Castor, and now the nitty-gritty of it, he felt sort of deflated. Oh well. There was plenty of time to be excited when he actually had foals. Even thinking about that, a smile came back to his face, just a little bit. Heirs or not, they would be his children, and he would do his best for them.
And now he needed to go and talk to Castor. He hadn't seen his partner in a day, now, but the slim stallion had been at the back of his mind all day. He would go to him, now, and explain... and apologise. Yes. That bit was important. With another sigh, and a hint of awkward contrition about his movements, the herdleader turned back towards where he guessed - hoped - Castor would be.
