Very good. We can have charity if we make Jesus Christ the center of our lives and follow his example and teachings. Like the Savior, we too can bless the lives of our brothers and sisters here on earth.

In Moroni 7:45 it says "And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

From this scripture what attitudes show that we have charity?

I think one of the most prominent attitudes is that of humility. The person who possesses charity knows that we're all in the same boat and is no longer inclined to think of themselves as more important or deserving than anyone else. It also helps to eradicate judging others.

Humility, patience, being happy with what you have, keeping your temper, having faith and in turn a testimony, and keeping your words in check among others.

Very true, we have to have compassion for those we are serving, be filled with good feelings for all people, kind. We are NOT boastful or proud, selfish or rude.

So what are some ways in which we can become charitable?

A good place to start is to realize that we're all a family, and a family has to love each other. Think of the love you have for your family and try to extend that love to the rest of humanity.

It can be hard though, you really have to try. A big thing that a high councilman spoke on today at church was the power of words. We have to keep in mind that what we say can hurt just as bad if not worse than physical blows. We have to keep our thoughts, words, and actions all in check, and when we do this we can more easily love others and be loved in return.

We are human though and being stuck with the same people for years on end can drive you insane after a while, lol. If you have a temper learn to do something to divert frustration and anger so you don't take it out on others. Have someone remind you whenever you start talking with an attitude or snapping at others. Take time to go out of your way to do something nice and it can become a habit.

that's very true. My seminary teacher told us that when her son got angry he would go chop wood so that he wouldn't snap at anybody, she said it was a good indicator to know when not to mess with him.

Some other ways can be to study the life of Jesus Christ and keep his commandments; when we have uncharitable feelings, we can pray to have them taken away; we can learn to love ourselves; as we love ourselves, our love for others will increase; and repent and forgive yourself.

Are there any further comments or questions?

Not really. Thanks for the discussion today.

Another indication to leave him alone would be that he's swinging an axe, lol.

ANYWAY, thanks!

One thing that I wanted to touch on before we leave today is that charity is necessary to have the companionship of the Holy Ghost. (can be found in D&C 121:45–46)

Your both welcome. See you both next week.
