I believe merfolk exist, and are very real.
I also believe they get power and strength from the moon, and the ocean is their source of life.
I picture them to look like the typical type, but a little different.
Pointed ears, gills, long fishy tails, tanned or pale skin (depending on where they live) and long hair (They don't tend to cut their hair regularly.)
I also believe they have their own culture, language, religion and spiritual beliefs.
