Artio kneeled beside her dead falcon, her eyes narrowed. Standing, vines envelloped the fallen bird. Her chin resting in her palm, Artio's eyes narrowed. Flidais was not a stupid bird. He would have seen the arrow. There was more at work here.

Shadeo stopped behind Artio. He tried to say something but couldn't. He instead turned to the demon and shruged. " I never was good at this." He turned away from them, put his hands and his shoulders, looked downwards, and closed his eyes. He reached out to find Saphira, the sooner she came back, the better. His eyes widened suddenly. He haddn't heard anything from her, but he felt a frantic rush through their link. She was in trouble.

Setryn turned away from the grieving master of the bird and silently walked away. Though it seemed wrong and thoughtless, it was for the better. Soon there would be a time when that lady would be glad that the traitorous falcon was gone. Setryn's arms flickered with goosebumps as she realized her job had just begun.

Elythia shrugged her shoulder too. She was never any good either. She owuld rather be elsewhere than in this too-awkward-for-words situation. She scanned the area, looking for whoever had done this. It was possible they were still lurking and contained a threat to them, not just the bird.

((I see from the poll that I've been brutally murdered two times. I have to ask - how is that possible? And I feel so unloved all of a sudden. Nah I'm just kidding. But really - how can I die two times? *Searches for the answer to life*))
Artio moved her hand over the bird, vines reached up and enfolded Flidais and brought him beneath the ground. She stood, thoughtful - and also saddened but she could not linger on that for long. She whirled around suddenly, no tears to be seen, took off running down the road. She had to find who had killed him!

Shadeo felt for Saphira and realized she was heading back, but not alone. She seemed extremly panicked. Shadeo turned to his new friend with a look of anguish. " After her, we all have to get out of here quickly!" He then took off after Arito.

Setryn leaped building to building, following after a small drake, her bow in her hands. She made her bows specifically to pierce through anything. She fit one to her bow and waited for the perfect moment. She felt her sisters ghostly prescence behind her, guiding her.

"I know," she murmured, following Shadeo quickly, her tail giving her balance as she ran quickly, her hands spread out behind her for speed, and quickly came up beside the girl Artio.
"That was no ordinary bird, was it?" She asked Artio, looking at her seriously, her eyebrows rising slightly.

Shadeo ran behind when he fianlly cuaght sigth of Saphira. He flaged her down and waited. He would follow them on her back. As he waited, he saw, on the horrizen, many a thousand demons marching towards them. He swore and mumbled under his breath, " I was hopeing they wouldn't get here untill later."

Artio looked sideways at the cat girl, Elythia. She did nto entirely trust those whom she was currently traveling with, but she had no choice in the matter at the moment. If they got in the way, she would make sure that they got out of the way fast. "No, Flidais was no ordinary bird. He was bonded to me by soul. He severed the connection before he died. Our fates were bonded, and he severed it. He knew, I want to know how he knew..." she murmured, thinking out loud. She looked up into the sky and swore. Another batch of demons were coming. She cracked her knuckles, looking down at the ground. Looking back up, her eyes were full of hate and an urge for revenge.

"If your bird was special as you say he was, perhaps he knew that his time was soon and did not want you harmed in the process," she spoke this carefully, looking at the demons approaching. "How shall we handle them?" she asked, questionningly, in the innocent manner of a child. She clenched her hands into fists and grinned at the demons, looking most dangerous and definately not innocent.

Shadeo nodded. " Familars...." was all he said as a sword of light fromed in his hand. " Lets get the jump on them. If we don't stop them here, they'll hunt us. Unless you two would rather run and let Saphira and I handle it?" he shoot a sarcastic look at them, smirked, and leaped forward, clearing forty feet to the nearest ruble, then running towards a hill where the sounds of demons could be heard.
