here's my version of Pandora's box^^
Zeus with the help of other deities created Pandora, she was the first women ever created out of clay and water, she was given beauty, lust, the gift of music, grace, dexterity and charm, howerver she was also given the art of lies, seduction and deceit, she herself was a gift to man kind. Zeus ordered Hermes to deliver her to Epimethus(a titan, brother of Prometheus) Pandora was so beautiful that the titan could not resist her charm and he declared her his wife. As a wedding gift Zeus gave Pandora and Epimethus a sealed box/jar and no one was to open it because it was a very special box. curiosity as in all myths regarding Pandora gets the better of the women, she opens the box/jar and...Zeus had not placed any evils in the box at all only his blessing for the human race, unknowingly Pandora had set them free and they would be gone forever she shut the box knowing that she had sentenced the world to endure all hardships and evils, the only blessing left in the box was hope.

hey, did ya know this? greeks origins
Origins
Although its exact origins are lost in time, Greek religion is thought to date from about the period of the Aryan invasions of the 2d millennium Those invaders encountered two other peoples who had existed in the region of Greece from Neolithic times: the Aegeans (Pelasgians) and the Minoans of Crete. The Aryans fused with the Aegean and Minoan cultures to create what is now considered Greek culture. The result, known as the Minoan-Mycenean civilization, flourished in the period from 1600 to 1400

White Cherry Blossoms In Greek mythology, Pandora, often called "the first woman on earth", was created by the gods and sent to earth with a jar full of evils (it was later referred to as a box - Pandora's Box) as a retaliation. Prometheus had stolen the blessing of fire from the Olympian gods and had given it to humankind. One myth says that Pandora was presented a box that contained blessings from the gods. Carelessly, she opened the box and all the blessings were released, except for one - Hope. Another account states that Pandora was given a final gift - a jar that she was forbidden to open - and out of curiosity, she opened it. I've read the story that said that she was not allowed to open the box but out of curiosity she did..............

once apon a time there was a man, who knows whether it was a blessing or a curse but one day the gods sent down a beautiful and vain woman and along with her they gave him a box warning him to NEVER open it. he married the woman, (her name was pandora) and they loved eachother, all the while the man guarded the box. but one day pandora found the box and asked him what was inside, when he replied that he didnt know she tried to open it and see what was inside, but he wouldnt let her have it. she kept pestering him to open it and trying to steal it but he wouldnt give it up. he was tired so he sat in a chair and gaurded it untill he fell asleep. when he did, pandora slid it out of his arms and opened it. as soon as she did, all the sickness, death, guilt, sadness, and pain of the whole world flew out in a fury, pandora in the middle of it. sick and dying and afraid, pandora snaped it shut, locking hope inside. when her husband woke up, he found his wife dead, and thiking that whatever was in the box couldnt be worse than this, he open it, letting hope fly out.

this is the first time i ever realy read it..i remember being told vaguely...apperrently it has alot of versions! i have to say, there realy isn't too much to be sad about her opening it, after all, having these things to worry about gives us a mind to fight it, and hope is after all a very important thing to have, my favorite quality ever! and it is only human nature to do something like that, i would have!
