i think that both are interesting in their own ways. it amazes me that such amazing things were accomplished in ancient times. then again, things seem to amaze me in the CE years too.

All of history, BCE and CE alike, showcases the human condition; therefore, it's all interesting to me, much as some of it (like, say, the Crusades and the Inquisition) make me wish there was a vomitorium nearby.

I don't limit myself to one region, either. Right now I'm researching the Asian continent in the time of the Khans, WWI Paris, and a smidge of the Hellenic era. I'm trying to decide between Inuit or Norse mythology for my next library trip... then again, I might just go for both. 3nodding

My favorite times come BCE and just into the beginning of CE, given the interest in the classical time periods. I do prefer republican and Augustan Rome, though, so my interest in CE is minor.

If you knocked out the great age of the classics, however, I'd opt for 18th century Europe. Ah, the romatics! The revolutions of 1848! The pigeon post during the siege of Paris!

...*cough* Really, I'm not a geek.. Pigeons? Who said anything about a five page paper on pigeons? (Or an 18-pager on the Dutch tulip crisis between 1635 and 1637? eek )

Hmm. For me, I think that I like BC better, but I like to learn about the history of AD too. So, I like history from all times. It's all interesting! 3nodding

A.D. generally. Although I'm also very interested in anything B.C., but I can relate better to people from A.D.

I am going to have to go with BC even though I love so much of revolutionary France and the Exploration era. Where would we be without the ancients?

I like everythink until the gunpowder. It made weak people capable of fighting a war, taking the merit away from those that trained a lifetime to be capable warriors.

Taver Char
hey, I just realised something idea . AD means after death right? and it's refering to Jesus' death right? but doesn't AD start at his birth? I'm probably wrong though...
It means Anno Domini Something about under the lord and Jesus died Somewhere in the AD 20-40

I like Hellenic Greece the Most along with Camillian And Poblyian Rome

And My absolute favorite of these two is the Galatians who with Brennus the Horrible invaded Greece and destroyed most of Macedon and the Galatians after their defeat fled to Anatolia and Started a constant scorn of Pillage Rape and conquest of the Diatochi held Anatolia.
