Mist got out of the water as another person jumped. She grabbed her towel and dabbed at her skin, she would get in again soon to do timed laps. Mist sat down beside Erin and talked to him ad she waited for the diving part to be over, it seemed he had already finished his own diving tryout. She let out a soft sigh and gave Farik a smile as he sat down after his jump. Erin gave Farik a slightly calculating look as the coach starting talking again.

Taylor watched as Alex played hard, he himself was actually pretty bad at tennis so watching was rather interesting. He wondered why Alex finished so quickly but his eyes moved back to Mist and his brother talking. He let out a sigh, "at least its my younger brother, my older brother is a bit worse." He muttered under his breath.

Serina watched Farik, Erin, and Mist on the bench. They were just three normal teens on a bench, but that wasn't the actual case. Erin was someone who could hurt Mist, and Farik could not interfere with it. So, it was up to Serina and Taylor and Alex, once he was informed. Alex! Serina was so occupied with watching Mist she forgot that she was there to watch Alex's tryout as well. That was the second time she almost forgot about him, she felt bad. Serina turned her head to the tennis courts, Alex wasn't standing up anymore. He must've been done with his tryout and she missed it, now she felt worse.

Taylor looked to Serina's worried expression and gave her a reassuring smile, "the coach let him finish early, I am rather certain that is a good sign." He said warmly, "I'm sorry...my news must have distracted you." He sighed and glanced back to the tennis court, "he did very good, I would be surprised if he didn't make the team." He said with a serious nod.

Mist and the others listened as the coach told them to do laps in the pool. She and about six others lined up and once the coach blew his whistle they all jumped and started their laps, the princess rather swift. Erin stood by the edge of the pool, his arms crossed as he kept his eyes on Mist. His sudden possesiveness was obvious when the little ram princess wasn't looking.

Serina gave a half hearted smile back to Taylor, "Yeah, at least he did his best." Alex looked their way and caught her glance, Serina waved and he returned it more eagerly. Once he turned back around, Serina lingered a bit on him then looked over at Mist. She was swimming around the pool with such speed, Serina was amazed. But she couldn't help and look over at Erin, he was watching Mist intensely. It scared her slightly, the image of this boy looking at her best friend as though he was waiting for his prey to weaken from play.

You could see Mist's smile become bigger as she starter on the last lap. Once she finished her cheeks were flushed cutely as she let out a big grin.
She waved to Farik before looking to Erin and giving him a smaller smile but a wave as well. When Mist looked to him Erin's expression softened, as if his hidden agenda could he hidden so easily. Mist scampered out of the pool with that silly grin of hers and quickly made her way to Farik and gave him a hug, "it wasn't as bad as I thought~" she purred. Erin scowled in the background, he was surprised that this was actually going to be harder than he thought.

Farik tensed slightly as Mist hugged him, she could always surprise him. He tentatively put his arms around her, though said nothing. He was more reasurring in his quiet way anyways.

Taylor's eyes widened slightly as he saw how Mist didn't seem as interested in his brother as he thought... he glanced at the look on Mist's face, the face expression that Farik couldn't see himself. He let out a breath and tilted his head in confusion...did Mist like Farik? Taylor glanced to Serina, "I wonder if Mist will really go through with an arranged marriage...?"

Serina was relieved when Mist went up to hug Farik. It seemed that Erin's devilish charm didn't get to her friend after all. Giving a small smile when Farik hugged Mist back, Serina knew that there was something blocking Erin's charm. Perhaps Mist's heart had already been taken. She looked up at Taylor when he inquired about Mist's willingness for marriage. "Well in the hallway on our way to class after lunch, Mist wasn't particularly happy about the news. But Farik told me later that Mist would do anything for her country, though he didn't seem happy about the news either." Serina looked back at Farik and Mist embracing each other so carelessly. With a sad smile on her face, Serina repeated Taylor's question, "I also wonder if she will really go through with this forced marriage."

Mist gave Farik one final squeeze before stepping out of the hug, her face still pink from her swim. She let out a grin and gave Serina and Taylor a thumbs up as the coach told them that the people who will be on the teams will be posted around the school the next morning. Once the coach dismissed them Mist quickly grabbed her towel and sundered before grabbing onto Erin's hand, "lets go sit with your brother and Serina while we wait for one of my other friends, I can introduce you." she purred happily. Erin nodded with a rather impish smile, "I would enjoy that." He said, glancing to his brother as Mist pulled him in the direction of the bleachers.

Farik stayed still a moment ar he watched Mist talk to Taylor's brother rather happily. He let out a little sigh and finally started walking after them...he could still feel his princess's hug even though she had already backed away. Farik looked up at Taylor and Serina as they made it up the bleachers...something didn't seem right.

Taylor frowned softly at Mist's innocent smile towards his half brother, "if Erin realizes how important a friend you are to Mist he will try to charm you as well." He whispered to her in worried tone. He let out a soft sigh and waved to the group as they came up.
[[ no worries~ I totally understand, school is pretty crazy the first few weeks.]]

Serina watched as Mist, Farik, and Erin came towards the bleachers. She was about to wave, but then Taylor added his warning about his brother. Uncertain about how she should go about trying to conceal her relationship with Mist, Serina just gave a shy smile and a small wave to the three.
Alex looked back at the stands to Serina and Taylor. They were looking in the direction of the pool. He followed their gazes to see Mist, Farik, and a brown-haired boy walking towards the two. Looking closely at the brown-haired boy, Alex got a sense of discomfort. Something about that boy wasn't right, but what was it? "Alex?!" someone called and startled him. Turning to the source of the voice, he seemed to now be face to face with the coach he had played with. "Yes?" he answered. "Come back to the court, you're going to play me again." "Alright." he replied, not sure whether this was a good sign or a bad sign. He looked back at the stands at Serina for some strength, but she was not looking at him. Alex looked back at the court, now wasn't the time to be distracted.

((I'm not sure if I should concern you with this, but it seems as though I cannot reply as Sola anymore. The topic is closed off to me.))

(( o.o I will try to figure out how to fix that so you can post again!!))

Mist grinned at her group of friends, her little ram tail wagging happily as if she was a puppy. "I tried my best." She said proudly to her friends before glancing towards the tennis court. "Is Alex just going now?" She asked, her smile still big, she had wanted to see him play. The blond princess cupped her hands around her mouth and took in a deep breath, "good luck Alex!" She yelled out loudly, startling Erin slight and making Farik flinch. Her outburst got a few glances from others on the bleachers as Mist turned back to Serina and Taylor. "This is Erin." She said to Serina and pointed to the brown haired teen, Erin giving her a rather warm and welcoming smile, "it's nice to meet you." He said to Mist's friend.

Taylor glanced down at the tennis court, it did seem Alex was going again, he hoped that was good sign. His eyes flicked back to Mist as she started talking again, he was very glad he had warned Serina of his brothers, they seemed very nice on the outside.

((thanx))

Serina looked at Erin and felt herself warm up. Was it her shyness acting up again? Yes, that was normal; but it was also something else. Something...cold yet fiery. She actually disliked this boy. "U-uh, hello." she said, before abruptly focusing her attention on Alex. It was an odd sensation to dislike someone, it had never happened to Serina before. She had always been happy with everyone, but perhaps the fact that this boy would hurt her friend struck something in Serina.
Alex walked back to the court and faced the coach. "May i ask why I'm up again?" he asked. "Nope." the tennis coach said before suddenly serving the ball to Alex. He hit it back, just barely making it, and the coach returned it with more ferocity than before. Alex couldn't help but smile slightly. This was a good sign, he knew then that he would make the team.

Mist seemed very content with her friends, she couldn't help but feel like it was a tad strange with Erin added in though. She glanced to his earing again and frowned slightly but once he glanced to her she smiled again, the girl wary. Erin looked to everyone, realizing more was known than what was said. "It was...very nice to meet you guys but I have some other plans that need attended to." He sighed, taking Mist's hands gently in his, "until next time, princess..." he said warmly with a smile, kissing her hand. Mist blushed and nodded, her wariness disappearing as he walked away from the group. She cleared her throat and sat down, her attention moving to Alex and the coach. "Alex is very good...amazing actually." She said warmly, her face still slightly red. "I hope to go to some of his sports shows once he makes the team." She nodded silently.

Serina watched Erina leave from the corner of her eyes. She didn't want to turn and let him know she watched him leave. Once he was no longer in site, a certain weight had been lifted off of her; it felt easier to breathe. Letting out a sigh, she turned to Mist. Mist's face was red, she was blushing. Could she be actually falling for Erin? One of the two brothers that was Serina's and Taylor's job to keep away from Mist. Serina now felt slightly uneasy, her friend needed to be protected. But she also couldn't just tell Mist to stay away from Erin...this would be harder than Serina had anticipated. She quickly answered to Mist's statement, allowing herself to smile, "I think he would love it if we all went, d-don't you think?"
Alex hit the tennis ball back and was prepared to return the next hit when the coach suddenly caught the ball. "Okay, that's enough. I'll see you tomorrow at the team revealing." and that was it. Alex thought the coach was slightly off, but that wasn't the matter at the moment. Now all he had to do was pray he had made it. Looking up at the bleachers, he saw all his friends there. He raised up his hand with a smile and went over to his bag for a bottle of water.

Mist let out a soft sigh and brushed her fingers through her blond curls, her expression returning to normal. She did not want to get romantically attached to anyone at this age...but she could help but feel nervous around boys when they acted like that...she would rather marry someone she had been friends with first. She smiled warmly when Alex waved to them and she stood slowly. "Do you guys want to go down and congratulate Alex in an awesome tryout??" She asked, her little ram tail wagging ever so slightly.

Taylor glanced up at Mist as she stood, it seemed her flusteredness from his brother had disappeared...he supposed that was a good sign. He gave a soft chuckle at the princess's excitement, "I don't see why not." He said with a warm smile and stood. Taylor offered his hand to Serina, "shall we?" He asked with a smile.

Serina gave a nod and gladly took Taylor's offered hand, noting that her face warmed as she did. Good thing Erin wasn't there at the moment. She remembered that Taylor had warned her of the dangers if he knew of her relationship with Mist. Serina could only imagine how Erin would use her attachment to Taylor to his advantage. Standing up from the bleachers Serina looked up at Taylor, then at Mist and Farik, then down at Alex. Her friends...a word that included bonds. Bonds...a word that was sacred to her. She wanted to keep them safe...no...needed to keep them safe. For her mother, who had wanted her to have true friends; and for herself, who wanted true friends just as much. "Ready, when you guys are." Serina she managed to say without stuttering.
Alex tilted his head back, letting the cool water run down his throat. This brought him back to the first time he played tennis. He was only eleven. His father had always wished Alex would play a sport, and wanting to please him, Alex did. He played football, his powers made everyone let him make touchdowns each time. So he quit. Basketball, no one else wanted to hurt him, or take the ball away. He quit. Soccer, same as basketball. He quit. Baseball, no one would tag him with the ball. He quit. Then he played tennis, he didn't need to get near anyone. Just hit the ball to the other side of the net, and past his range of charm. This was the fairest game for him, so he stuck with it. Thinking back, Alex knew it was dumb to quit all of those. But he wanted a fair game, a game where he could be the star without his powers. He looked up at the stands, with his head still tilted back, and nearly choked. Alex released what water was in his mouth and coughed out the rest. He relaxed, why had he done that? He had just seen Serina taking Taylor's offered hand to help her up. There was nothing he should have been freaking over, but he did. Because Serina had been blushing when she took Taylor's hand. Now Alex knew, he might lose her.
