Eileen placed her hand behind her head, and laughed softly, striking a pose that just needed the huge sweatdrop to perfect the image. As they walked to Security, Eileen explained, "....ano...it's an inconvenience sometimes with people not being able to hear me."
Security was really not that far away from the Quartermaster's office, so just after Eileen had explained why she put up with the bullhorn, she was already slowing down. The security section was lit up with screens, with people striding importantly from one station to the next. There was that quiet but tensed murmur that filled the air, the sound of people hard at work. Eileen led them to an official-looking desk which stood next to an eight foot tall cylinder with a door in it. The woman seated there glanced up, and smiled. "What can I help you with, sir?"
Eileen replied, "...ano, i'm actually not sure of my rank yet. i heard there was a restructuring...? um, that aside, sparrow-san needs her biometrics done, sergeant."
"Until things settle down a bit more, I'll use the last organizational structure we had." Curiously, the sergeant didn't seem to be having trouble hearing Eileen. "Sparrow, right? No forms to sign here. The booth here records your various biological data. Retinal scans, finger and thumbprints, voice patterning, heat patterning, ....the list goes on. It's quick and painless though. Just step into this booth, grasp the rail, and say "aah" then your full name with rank. There will be a green light to indicate when you can come out again."

The light came on about 3 seconds after Sparrow had settled in. Just as she was coming out, someone yelled, "Sir! Incoming transmission!"
Eileen blinked and looked towards the monitors, even as Security began to move quickly. The transmission was quickly relayed to the ASDF's Commander. Meanwhile, Eileen grabbed Sparrow's hand, took a deep breath, and yelled over the sudden spike in murmur volume, "The Boss isn't going to like that ultimatum! Let's go!" and without further ado quickly led Sparrow back through the small maze of corridors, to a hangar filled with those yellow service vehicles, and snagged a ride back to the Aquarion Project building.
