FULL DETAILED STORY :
Aelfiède la Blanche was born under the name of Michelle d’Artois around the middle of the 17th century. Her father, Pierre d’Artois, was a famous corsaire mercenary who sailed for the French empire, arresting well-known pirates and intercepting Spanish ships that came back from orient with valuable spices and fabrics.
Michelle’s mother died when she was still very young, and being left alone to take care of his daughter, Pierre d’Artois would always take her with him on his travels. His ship, The French Rose, soon became Michelle’s real home. At age 12, Michelle was a permanent member of the Rose’s crew, and she was already able to manoeuver a ship, read world maps, use a compass and follow the stars and constellations to find her way.
Many times during her teenage years, the young corsaire was able to prove her courage and her cold blood. She notably helped in the capture of a few dangerous pirates in the Caribbean and she once held 5 drunken pirates in a bar while the Rose’s crew was encircling them outside, simply by menacing them with her gun. Michelle has a basic training with swords, but whenever she has a chance, her weapon of choice has remained the gun ever since.
As she grew older, Michelle became an elegant young lady, and her father was ever so proud of her that he would cover her with the most beautiful dresses and jewels. At age 16, when she was officially promoted to the rank of second captain of the Rose, Michelle was likely the most elegant mercenary that ever served the King of France.
But that same year, during an attack against the Spanish pirate galleon the Sea Goat, things went wrong for the French Rose, and most of the French Rose’s crew was killed, including Michelle’s father, who was forced to walk the plank in front of her. The only thing that saved the young lady from the same faith was her beauty and her elegance. The captain of the Sea Goat, Frederico Rojo (Frederick the Red), spared her life and he took her aboard his ship where he forced her to become his personnal servant and exotic dancer. After these events, The French Rose was given to Frederico’s second captain, an English Buccaneer named Sir Robert Davis, to thank him from his many years of faithful services.
Michelle served on the Sea Goat during three years, playing the innocent and submissive maiden, while secretly she was planning her evasion. Frederico was always considerate to Michelle and never ever abused her physically in any way, for despite him being a pirate, he was honest and well-mannered. As he discovered her a talent for dance, the captain even gradually allowed her to dance in diverse taverns around the Caribbean, (mainly in the infamous Tortuga) allowing her to keep all the money she made out of her representations.
The young lady piled that every single penny she could make dancing, caressing her eventual vengrance during those three years. And, one night, while the Sea Goat had made port in Tortuga, and while the whole crew was well drunk and sleeping, she went out and offered money to Bournano, hoping he and his crew would help her capture and slay the whole crew of the Sea Goat. Bournano refused the money and he and his crew decided to help her achieve her vengeancy by principle of good moral. That very might, the whole crew of the Sea Goat was slayed.
Michelle got the pleasure to shoot in Frederico’s body herself. She cribled him with bullets in the legs and arms, telling him that those were for her father. And as she was about to kill him, she remembered that he had spared her life three years ago, and thus she did the same for him, leaving him there with nothing left and the most horrible of sufferings.
She took over the Sea Goat, with her new crew, making Bournano her second captain. But by desire to forget her past identity, she chose the alias of Aelfiède la Blanche (or Michelle la Blanche, only if you are a friend). The word « Blanche », which means white, was chosen in opposition to Frederico’s « Rojo », which meant red.
Aelfiède is now one of the most successful buccaneers of the Caribbean, and with Bournano’s expertise in the domain, they have realised many famous pillages and intercepted a great quantity of merchandise ships. Her only and main goal in life is however to find back the French Rose, now owned by Sir Davis, and to take it back in memory of her father. She has the certitude that her ship is still somewhere, under the commandment of this other enemy of hers whom she has only seen once in her life, and whose face and name she has never forgot.
HER PERSONNALITY/Other informations :
Aelfiede was raised to have good manners and act in a very lady-like way. She expresses herself eloquently most of the time. But often, if she says something and her crew just stares at her without getting it, she’ll use pirate speech to make sure she is understood.
Aelfiède makes a good captain, but she very much hates to give orders. She is more used to taking them. She isn’t greedy of the treasures and profits the crew makes and often even buys ships to certain crew members to thank them for their services.
She only ever takes trust-worthy men on her ship.
She has once seen the Black Pearl as a child (in the days where it was commanded by Barbossa). It passed in the distance, near the French Rose, but didn’t attack.
Aelfiède likes cats and likes to take some aboard her ship. She feeds them just as well as she feeds her crew.
Aelfiède is known for never ever having any lover. She is now 19 and everyone suspects her to still be a virgin. Some times, a crew member will risk flirting her, but always to no avail. (Who knows, maybe she is just yet another Jack Sparrow squealing fangirl?!lOLOlol !!1)
Aelfiède loves clothes and makeup. Often, she’ll make port in Singapore or in Orient just to get black Khol eyeliner and tubes of the best lipstick on Earth.
Aelfiede adores her feminity and she looks rather high class. Thus, she doesn’t mind wearing a corset or dress during a swords fight.
Her favourite quote is : « A pirate of quality has a hat of better quality. » (or any version of it).
