My iguana doesn't use her heat lamp anymore. She just sits on the huge a** strip light we have and glares at us angrily if we do not bring her the proper vegetation.

If it's dry heat, they might stand there too long and eventually dry up. You have to keep your lizard/reptile animals slightly "moist" at all times or have an ample amount of water nearby so that they have someplace to drink/swim. rofl
