He rolled his eyes as a joke. "Yeah, Mr. Perfect right? I would trade this life in anyday. It would sure beat spending all day in practices or in a room studying and then topping my nights off with no sleep because I work through the night. Trust me, I am not perfect."

He was sincere about the whole thing, but he couldn't let the mood slow down. "But yeah the job is too good to be true. There are no fall backs except that you'll never meet your boss, only your manager. Other than that, I say have fun, but one warning. Don't become an alcoholic. The American and Euro bands tend to drink more than they can hold. Other than that you're fine."

"Being hyper is no problem either. The more energy you have the better." He said. "Yeah 50 EDs is your starting point. I get paid 60 because I've been doing this for a year now, but if you stick around long enough you could earn yourself a manager's spot. Those go for 90 EDs and hour."

"Save it." He said pausing. "With your extra money, put some aside for something you really want. You don't have to know what it is you want, but if you put the money aside you can have for when you find that thing you want most."

Nyuka made a mental note to himself. He felt like he was being changed, but not in a bad way. On the contrary, he felt like he was becoming a better person inside. Little did she know, he would never be telling her that. At least he thought she wouldn't know right away. That would be his little secret.

He sped easily along the highway systems, weaving his way around the cars and ahead to their destination. That's when it hit him that she thought he was really everyone's favorite person. He had come to realize that it was the role he never wanted to play. The thought brought back a memory.

The Memory.

Nyuka was eleven and starting Junior High. He got along with everyone and he always came home with a new friend. His mother sat him down one time to tell him that his popularity was good, but also a bad thing.

"Nyu, dear, remember that having so many friends means you can get hurt easier. People will think that there is always someone else you can be friends with." Her voice was so smooth and gentle. It might've broken if he interrupted her.

"Mom? Why would someone hurt me?" He asked naiively.

Her smile warmed his very heart and he could remember his father peering at the two with the warm smile he once had when their mother was alive.

"People can be mean little one. But, I will always love you no matter what. Remember that no matter what is between us, I can always hear what you are saying. So listen little Nyu. Listen well." Her words had always echoed in his heart, he was just to foolish to hear them.


He looked over to Luna and smiled. If only she knew how much she reminded him of his mother.

Nyuka couldn't help but smile as he drove on.

"Seems like you have everything planned out." He paused looking forward. "You seem like a really good person at heart, and none of the other girls I've met would even want to care for someone else. I think that's cool."

He drove on for a while sometimes looking at her, but mainly the roadways. It wasn't that he ran out of things to say, he just kinda went blank when it came to her. It wasn't easy to talk to her because he couldn't just nod like he did with other girls.

He smiled. "Well I'm not that smart, but thanks." For a few seconds he paused to decide how to sun this up for her. "Basically, I want a job in the music industry, so I can set my own hours and do what I love. But, I won't be a musician, too risky."

"I can play guitar, kinda weird huh? The guy who is so good at math wants to be a musician. It definitely isn't what most expect of me." He was not sure how she'd respond.

He laughed slightly at her enthusiasm about it.

"I'm sure you'll get the job as a doctor or nurse. I know I'd probably just fake some illness to come see you." He said it with a smile on his face as they turned into the back of the concert arena. There was a well guarded building with bouncers everywhere.

"Well, here we are. Ready to meet some bands?" He asked her getting out and holding to door for her before she even got out. That was so old and polite most guys didn't do it any longer, but he did. He enjoyed being respectful and polite to others.

Nyuka smiled, greeting a couple of his buddies. They let them in without any problems. Both of them were handed an chip that showed a list of all the bands availible. He scanned through his quickly, making a mental note of the ones he had to see.

"You wouldn't have to be worried around me. I'm pretty sure you would be able to treat my fake illness." He joked around.

"I'm glad to see you're hyper about this. Normally, I just think of it as any other day at work. But, you make it more interesting." Nyuka said. "So, lady's first, which band shall it be?"
