Gwyn had stayed behind on the ship, just like the Captain had said. She was sprawled out in the rigging, the place she was most comfortable when on board. Then thing is she had expected the little hut brat to come here a lot sooner...and it had been a few hours already. She was tragically bored. So she took to climbing the masts and connecting rigging, just to ease her restlessness. Her head always turned to flash green eyes out across the beach looking for a sign of the supposed visitor. She had better come soon. A bored Gwyn meant a little fennec who got into trouble.

Only a half-an-hour ago had she gotten away from her chores. Nemesis walked out from the trees and looked over at the wrecked Jolly Rodger, watched for a moment while she was still under cover. No sign of Tock, but there was definitely someone there. So she would approach with caution. At what might be seen as an agonizingly slow pace, she stalked to the ship. "Hello," she called, tapping the book of maps against one thigh. "Anyone up there?"

Gwyn's ears perked at the call and immediately she was racing along the lines and swinging down the ropes to reach the more solid deck. She landed with a light thump and continued over to the rail of the ship where she could, say, converse better with their "visitor". "'Ey, woah!" She called, leaning over the rail with a curious, wide-eyed kit sort of look, "You an't the Cap-i-tan's guest, are ya?" Of course it was and she knew it. But she was on a mission. You just didn't spill all your information when on a mission.

"I am," she said. "And who are you?" Not like Nemesis didn't know. There was only one kid that looked like such a fox that she remembered, and that was Gwyn. If this girl was going to pretend to be stupid, she would return the favor as many times as she could. One day, her ego would get her in trouble.

"Name's Gwyn!" The fennec answered with a charming, white toothed smile, "I'm your hostess a present!" She propped her hands against the rail and then povolted over the side. She landed with a small jolt bent over on two feet, tail out. But she quickly recovered, jumping up and loping over to the other girl. Though the other girl might not know it, she was taking in every whiff of her out of habit. She didn't even have to twitch her nose. Kids were that smelly by nature, after all.

If she had known that, Nemesis would have been very offended and probably kicked Gwyn. Since she didn't, she just watched the other girl very warily. "That so," she said flatly. Her tone didn't brook many pleasantries. "Well, it's pleasant to meet you."

"Yep!" Gywn gave a sweet, girl-charmed salute, complete with a hand on her hip. She then leaned forward, tail swishing, "You're here for the map thing right?" Her voice was curious and it was a wonder she had asked so soon and so up front. It just wasn't like her at all. But the perk of her large ears seemed genuine, to say the least.

It took Nemesis a minute to formulate a response. "Yes," she gritted out. "I'm here for the... map thing." Her disapproving frown was all that was visible of a generally disapproving expression.
