From the Cherry Tree Grove to Selador took upwards of four to five hours. Taking in account the size and speed of a fairy, well, this fairy, it took about three and a half. But then one had to add in his guards, and breaks, and lunch and breakfast, and--
Well Silva and his guards reached Selador around three in the afternoon, looking not nearly as exhausted as they should have been, because they tended to do a lot of stupid s**t for hours on end. They had once had a tree top berry guerrilla warfare game for an entire day.
But the difference here was that neither of the guards had a clue as to why Silva had come all this way. They had their own clothesmaker in the Grove, a cute little female--
Silva headed for the clothesmaking shop, stepping in and looking around as he chewed on his toothpick. There was no way in hell he was going to the grove clothesmaker unless he absolutely had to. "Somebody here?" he demanded loudly.

Avitus had just finished a particularly intricate (almost dizzying) pattern on a loincloth for one of his regular customers and was treating himself to a few minutes of rest. Which, upon hearing the voice, would have to wait. Sighing, Avitus rose to greet the customer, "Coming!" Small feet shuffled from the back where the workroom was to the front of the store. Once in the spacious waiting area Avitus found the bare hints of nervousness seep into his veins. Silva was rather intimidating to say the least. "Good apternoon, are you here por custom wear or an op the rack?" Already Avitus' p's were switching with his f's. But then again, the clothesmaker had to be particularly focused and aware of his speech in order to mask his little disorder.

"I'm apt--after," Silva said, turning to look at him. "Custom wear," he finished. "I doubt much of what you have on the rack would fit me." Being as he was eight inches tall, and a bit ah, skinny. He reached up, fingering his toothpick for a moment as he looked around.
"You don't do cherry dye work, do you?" he asked. "Course not, you don't have cherries. I need something that I can win a race in. It's got to be light, and not catch on the wind too much. Can you do that?"

"Sforting wear!" Avitus seemed to light up, delighted that for once the request was for something other than looking fancy. Most of the custom wear were for lavish parties or outrageous costumes. Finally, something practical and with a purpose! "Cherry you say?" Avitus quirked a brow in keen interest, "I'b heard that you can get some in the vlack market. Though I think it's all rumors." He scurries behind a counter to pull out his measuring equipment, "Ip you have the color in mind, I could try to get as close to it as fossivle with the dyes I do hab." He offered.
It had been a while since Avitus was ever this excited to work on a garment. Nevermind that he was currently still swamped with work, if something piqued his interest, to hell with the rest of them! "Hold your arms uf flease."

"Black will work," Silva said, slipping off his robe and holding out his arms. "We've got a party coming up."
He made a note to look into the black market comment. If someone was stealing his cherries for dyes he would have their f'kin' heads on a platter. And if it was one of his own, it would be even worse off for them. "While we're here, I might have you do the same thing for my guards."
The two standing by the door looked up, starting to grin at that.

Avitus looked thoughtful, "Oh, you're not prom Selador then?" If there was a party coming up, the clothesmaker would have known about it, and he'd be up to his neck in orders. True, he wasn't the only clothesmaker in Selador, but for one reason or another most of them flocked to his little store. He thought it was because of his entertainment value (speech impediments amused the simple-minded citizens) but he liked to think it was because of his sense of style.
The measuring tape was stretched taut, then curled around limbs as Avitus quickly jotted down the measurements. "Ack, silly me, I comfletely porgot to ask por your names! Wouldn't do to make out the order to Tall Stranger and comfany, would it?" he laughed as he scribbled his own name on a clean scrap of paper. He had his name painted on cards so that people could actually say his name the way it was spelled and not the way he pronounced it.

"It's Silva," Silva said, fingering his toothpick. "And I'm from the Cherry Tree Grove." He figured that was all he had to say. The thought of having to name his guards didn't even cross his mind. They were part of the package.
"So how long do you think this is going to take?" he added. "I'm probably going to have to stay the night, either way." He didn't really feel like flying home in the dark, even if he and his guards did have night vision.

Avitus was obviously stunned upon discovering the identity of his customer. "The Silba?" Like the rest of the Selador populace, Avitus didn't quite acknowledge the Cherry Tree Grove as a city of its own. But he was quite impressed with their leader's guts and gumption. Realizing how silly he must look, Avitus cleared his throat to gather his composure.
"The dye takes obernight to froferly cling to the pavric vut the actual cut shouldn't ve too dipicult to pinish within the day. So long as none of you want any fatterns or veads sewn on, that is." He motioned to one of the guards that is was his turn to be measured.

"None," Silva said. He didn't even comment on the "The Silba" question. It seemed obvious to him. Then again, who knew if there were people claiming to be him out there?
"I dunno, I'd li--"
"NONE," Silva repeated, giving his guards a dark look. It was one thing skipping out for a night, it was another taking off two entire days. "We've got s**t we need to do back home."
"Right, Silva," the second guard said, sighing.
"Besides, knowing you two, the bead work wouldn't last that long, to begin with," Silva drawled. "How much will it cost?"

Avitus quickly finished both guards before reviewing the measurements. Making a rough mental estimate on how much fabric and thread he'd need, not to mention the dye and the rush job this entailed he could very well charge a pretty large sum. But it had been ages since he was genuinely excited to work on an order and not merely pretending to stay on his customer's good side. "Fay me whateber you velieb reasonavle when you see the pinished froduct." He replied. Avitus never found himself strapped for cash and had little personal time to go out and spend his money for non-work related matters.
"And now I must ask you three to leab so I can start at once!" The clothesmaker was certainly all smiles as he ushered out Silva and his guards as well as indicating that his store was closed for the remainder of the day.

Silva stood outside the ship for a moment, chewing thoughtfully on his toothpick as he looked around the town. They would have to come back to the shop in the morning, and in the meantime, he thought...
"I heard Bav has a sister in this area," he said thoughtfully. "Think we can find her?"
"Sure thing, Boss," the guards agreed. ***********
Morning rose... then passed. It was almost noon by the time Silva and his guards showed up at the shop again, looking curious. "Oye, clothesmaker!" he called. "You done?"

Avitus hadn't gotten a wink of sleep, but he didn't mind. He had finished the order and was exceptionally pleased with the results. Lightweight and form-fitting but it stretched comfortably without any sign of warping. Durable enough to withstand a good amount of friction and strain from physical activities, and it allowed the skin to breathe. Sure he used up the only bolt of that particular fabric he had but it was worth it!
The bags under his eyes and the dark smudges of color on his fingertips did nothing to dampen his excitement. Opening the door, Avitus welcomed Silva and his escorts into the shop. "Here, try them on. The pitting room is in the vack!" He gestured as he handed each Feien their respective garment.

They took the clothing and headed for the back, coming out a little while later in the clothes. They looked good on them, especially with their black and white hair. Silva stretched a little, then turned, looking at his back. "Not bad," he said. "We'll take them."
He headed into the back room again to change.

Avitus beamed, quite proud of his work though this meant he wouldn't be in the mood to continue with the rest of his orders. Not for that day, at least. Avitus gathered the garments and neatly folded them into a sack before handing it to one of the guards. "Good luck with that race." He smiled.

"Now, as for pay," Silva said, fingering his toothpick and looking at the clothesmaker for a long moment. "I can offer you a choice. I brought a few small rubies, I like to steal them from the pirate brat, Tock. He dives better than I do. Or I can offer you something you might find more... interesting. But would take longer to get."
