Introduction
"The desert nation of Imperia is beginning to fall into disarray. Long gone are the days when the nation stood as the very definition of structure and paragon of social morality. Poverty and starvation are starting to overtake the citizens. The aristocracy is only making things worse by making concessions to the people that do not assist their situation in any way other than taking the focus off them. The Colliseum is the biggest of these distractions" - Heard from an old traveller
"I hear that things just keep getting worse for Imperia. Did you hear what happened now?" "No. What?" "Well, apparently the General of the military and his strategist attempted an assassination of King Arten." "No way! The Dragon General turned rogue?" "Yeah. He claims he was saving the country from destruction by some ancient force." "Yeah right. The guy was just trying to take power for himself." "Well apparently he's got a few allies in the system, because the Kings Chief advisor was also in on it and apparently even tried to help." "Yeah?! Then what?!" "Well apparently the three of them are to compete in the arena until they finally die. We'll finally get to see if the Dragon General can live up to the name." - Conversation overheard in a tavern

Story
This story takes place on the continent of Pralia. The two major kingdoms, Imperia and Nordagh, have been at war for hundreds of years. The battles were intense as neither side could gain a definate victory over the other due to incredibly different terrain that was being fought on. The bloodiest battles of this war were fought in two places. The Blood Plains, as they are known now, contained many of the earliest battles as they are part of the direct path between the two capitals. The other was known as Water Dragons Path, and it was a path that ran by a dammed up lake, and also overlooked the Blood Plains. There was a small fortress built by the Nordagh military in the center of this pass in order to prevent advancement into their territory. This fortresses seemed impenetrable for many years and had all be ensured eternal fighting between the two nations.
It was during one of the battles with the Nordagh military that the name Dragon General was used to describe the young man who had recently taken control of the Imperian forces. In a perfect act of deception, the Imperian military sent a large force to strike their foes once again on the Blood Plains and at Water Dragon Pass simultaneously. The force fought for a couple of days, before retreating, presumably defeated.
The Nordagh military gave chase to finish the battle, as their barbaric nation had alway done. When the bulk of their forces reached the center of the plains however, the dam at Water Dragons Path suddenly burst, an act of sabotage by the Dragon General himself, who stood triumphantly just outside the rushing water. The Nordaghian forces were decimated, with untold casualties. Within a matter of a few days, the Nordagh king sent a letter of surrender to the Imperian capital. It was finally over.
Several years went by after the war ended, and the Dragon General returned to his home nation with his closest friend, his strategist. When they did however, something was not right. The Kings closest advisor was in a panic and urged the two to join them in storming the Royal Chamber and saving their nation from its impending ruin. The three stormed the castle and entered a heavily guarded area in the Kings palace, to find that the King was summoning a demon from the underworld. After several hours of fighting, the three were finally able to return the beast to the pit it had been spawned from, but not without having a heavy blow dealt to them. They were left unconscious in the chamber and later imprisoned for their transgressions.
As suggested by three strangers the King had befriended in their absence, the three comrads were sentenced to fight as traitors in the Colliseum. The three were dressed in odd clothing, appearing to be from the mountains to the far north of the continents. Without hesitation, the king ordered it so and they were hauled off to the Colliseums prison, to be held several days without food before being tossed into the arena will whatever hellish monsters the Kings hunting parties could find.
Our story begins now...

Rules
Number 1. I'm number one. (By which I mean that I will control the Main baddies and most of the vital NPC's. What else could I possibly have mean't? biggrin )
Number 2. Be as literate and legible as possible. I understand that it is sometimes difficult to do, and I'm not a nazi about it, but make sure you at least make an effort.
Number 3. Remember to respect others at all times in OOC. IC, disrespect is fine, as long as it falls within your characters personality or is appropriate for that part of the story.
Number 4. I do have a general idea of how this story is going to play out, but I am not at all opposed to treading off the beaten path, so if you have any good ideas for ways to spruce up the story, feel free to send them to me in a PM.
Number 5. If you know the game that I took the two names of the countries from, send me your bios with the phrase "The game is (Game name here)!" as the title. If you don't know the name, send it under "I have failed at videogame trivia."
Number 6. I do not play nice with Godmodders. Those who Godmod will be beaten swiftly, and mercilessly, with a loaf of bread.
Number 7. I would say "Have fun" here, but thats the whole point of you being here anyway isn't it?
Number 8. Before we can get started, I do need two members joining to fill the roles of Strategist and Advisor. These will be your own characters, which is why I didn't use any specific names or genders in the setup for these two characters.
Number 9. 3 Strike rule. The first time I have to talk to you about an issue we are having, I will send a pm. The second time will be a trip to the black list, with a public explaination. The third time results in being kicked from the story and your character being killed.
