Personality: Koji is a lone wolf, keeping to himself and trusting no one. Even when he can be dragged into conversation, he is aloof and shares nothing about himself. No one gets close.
Bio: Koji's mother is first generation Japanese American and moved from her home country in hopes of marrying into American money. She only half succeeded; she fell into the clutches of a wealthy ranch owner who had no intention of marrying her when he could get what he wanted for free. Once his pretty little 'geisha girl', as he called her, became pregnant, she was unceremoniously kicked out of his home with nothing to her name. She married a Japanese American drycleaner whom she barely knew rather than give birth a single mother. She has always openly resented Koji for this and blames her misfortune on his birth.
Koji found no solace with his step father. The man was cruel and bitter toward the child, though Koji never really had an understanding of why. The abuse began with harsh words and beatings, but eventually descended into sexual abuse. Koji tried only once to make his mother aware of the situation; she claimed he was a liar and only wanted to ruin her marriage. Koji was left with little choice but to bear the abuse in silence. He began to learn guitar around this time, at the age of eleven, using the music to soothe the scars of his soul. He did not own his instrument, but a kind, elderly neighbor woman whose home was his only safe haven would lend him the guitar that belonged to her deceased husband. Koji learned quickly, teaching himself through long hours of practice. He hoped one day it would be his ticket to earn enough that he could escape to his real father whom his mother painted in her stories as a paragon of virtue.
Koji was surprised at age fifteen when his mother divorced her husband and determined to move closer to her ex-lover's home. Koji knew he would sorely miss his neighbor, but felt hopeful of meeting his father and being rid of his step father's abuse. His rose tinted vision of his father was soon shattered, however. The rancher had no interest in his 'squinty eyed, long haired, lazy and no good' offspring. His father's rejection was the last straw; Koji ran from 'home' in the dead of night and never looked back.
His first thought was to hide with his neighbor, but in the year he'd been gone she had passed away. Distraught and not thinking straight, he broke into her home and stole the guitar he'd learned on. It was all he had left of his one friend and, just as she had, it gave him solace. Koji could play any song he'd heard even once; his raw talent was enough to keep him living hand to mouth with no one's help. He wanted no one's help; he'd been forced to learn never to dream for a better life.

Personality: Leann has A.D.D., which she says stands for 'Attention deficit- oo, shiny!' Therefore, when she hasn't taken her medication, she acts a bit loopy and high. When she has taken her meds, she's calm and collected, except when she sees a really hot guy and acts boy crazy.
Biography: Leann was born to be a successor to her family. Specifically, a successor to a company that conned people out of the money they rightfully earned. No sane person would want to do that, unless, obviously, you were her parents. Her mother taught her to handle a gun in case of emergencies, but being brought up with 'bad blood', she practiced with the pistol, then used her allowance to buy a sniper rifle. Since she didn't have much to do, she practiced gunman skills until her parents got caught as con men and she was sent to an orphanage. She was expecting a sort of hell on earth, but it was actually quite nice. Not better than her oversized house at home, but certainly not a whole lot worse, if at all. Several years pass, Leann keeps practicing with shooting, and pretty soon, she's old enough to make it on her own, and finds herself no longer in the orphanage and out on a street with no money, no job, and no lawyer. So she became a self employed sniper. People paid her to kill people. And she enjoyed it. Several months later, as she was really starting to enjoy collage, she was sent off to assassinate Koji. She thought he'd be small fry, but apparently, this was not the case. She couldn't bring herself to kill her classmate. So, she allowed herself to lose the several thousand dollars she was getting from this, and vowed to hook up with him by the end of the year. So far, she's gotten nowhere.
