Story
On the third day of the Third Moon’s passing a grand wedding wass held at the palace in the emperor city of Celeres. The princess Aureus was to marry a foreigner from the country across the sea. It had been rather sudden. The civilians had no knowledge of the relationship between the princess and the stranger. The royal family knew about it. The couple had received King Alexander’s blessing. The wedding was planned for the beginning of the season of Rebirth, the time when all of nature celebrated light and life. The city of Celeres was filled with travelers from all over the kingdom. Everyone wanted to see the wedding. It was to be the celebration of the decade. For this reason the entire royal guard was on duty all around the city. Every visitor that entered the city had to provide ID at the gate to be allowed in. Security was especially heavy around the Chapel of Clarity. The chapel was large enough to hold over 500 nobles. No peasants were allowed inside. However, magicians were projecting images onto the sides of the chapel for all to see. The royal family didn’t want anyone to miss the wedding. The head priest stood at the front of the chapel, waiting with the groom as the bride walked down the aisle. He wore golden trimmed silk white robes. King Alexander, Queen Carmentis, and Princess Cassandra, the youngest princess, all entered from behind a curtain that covered the back wall. They stood a few feet to the right side of the priest. The priest began from the Tome of the Gods as the two joined hands. The two were bonded by the vows they spoke to each other.
“I promise to forever love and cherish you. You will be my light and my world. For all eternity my body is one with you” Aureus’s vows were spoken and the priest wrapped a golden thread around her right arm and the groom’s left arm, locking them together.
“I promise to forever take care of you, to give you all the things that you need so that you may never want for anything. For all eternity my soul is one with you,” Regulus, the foreigner from across the sea, spoke his vows to her. The priest intertwined a purple thread into the golden thread.
The priest read from the tome in the ancient language. The book itself began to glow. The threads melded into their arms, completing their union. The thread lines vanished and the couple kissed in front of the whole city of Celeres and the guests that arrived from all over the kingdom. The room was suddenly filled with falling rose petals, a gift from Clara, the Goddess of Fertility and Marriage. Regulus raised his hands in the air to quiet the audience. The cheers slowly died and everyone was quiet as they tried to hear the words of the foreigner. The crowd waited in anticipation for their new prince to speak. Yet, he didn’t. He just stood there with his right hand raised, his left had been lowed. Then he slashed his right hand through the hair. The trouble then started. The royal guards that had been guarding the royal family turned on them. King Alexander was a warrior in the royal army when he was younger. He was getting on in years and was not as strong as when he was young but he was able to keep the rebel guards away from the queen and the youngest princess as they tried to run. Guards stepped out from behind the curtain and grabbed the women though. The king yelled in rage as he fought off the rebels to reach his wife and daughter. He died to a sword through his chest as he reached out his arms to his wife. The queen had no ability to fight and the princess’s few magic spells were no match for the guards and they were easily overpowered. Both were taken away behind the curtain so that the crowd could not see what happened to them. They all knew though. The royal family had been assassinated.
Regulus had a hold on his new bride. Aureus tried to run to her family to save them but her husband would not let her. She was a trained sorceress though. Her spells were of a much more advanced level than her sister’s. She blew a fireball in the face of her new husband. The medallion he wore absorbed the fire spell. She screamed as an electric shock filled her body, numbing every inch of her body.
The audience was outraged by what had happened. Some fought, some cried, some hid or vanished, and some bowed down to the new ruler of the kingdom, Regulus.
Regulus was a tyrant. He removed idols from the temples and replaced them with statues of a foreign dark god. He taxed the people to pay for a war against the neighboring kingdom of Sceptrum. Under his rule evil spread and demons began to emerge and feed on humans.

Profile form
Gaia name: (Duh!) Name: (First and last) Age: (It has to be a real age. We are all human and all age) Class: (No available positions. Name of the class can be any variation of the position Ex: theif=rogue, Healer=Doctor, Magic User=Witch, swordsman(woman)= Knight, things like that. Creativity makes me like you.) Weapon: (No super powerful weapons. You will have basic sword, staff, dagger type weapons) Skills: (Thief and sword user can not have magic) Appearance: (Picture or very descriptive) Bio: (Personality) History: (Your character's life story)
The bio and the history will not appear on the accepted profile's list. I keep them for my own information. I will not hold you completely to your bio. I think that they actually restrict your abilities. You are always able to change your character personality, a long as it isn't different from what you've already shown in the roleplay. I also expect a past sample of your rolepalying.

More Information
I am the ruler of all! Muhahaha! Okay, done with that. I want to share some info with you.
First, about your characters. I don't restrict age, as long as you can roleplay the age well. Your character must meet my character in the Inn mentioned in my intro post. I do not want you starting off in an entirely different place. One girl made her intro by having Regulus kidnap her and force feed her delicious food. Sadly, she was removed because of inability to give depths to her character and to actually realize that to godmode the main villian in your first post is not smart. Really, who would take control of the main villian without permission? Especially in the first post when so little is actually known. Second, about the races. I will introduce many different creatures into the rp. Vampires being one of them. I might at one point want to change a character into a new race, example being a vampire. I will pm you and ask if you wouldn't mind playing that new race. With a new race comes new abilities and a partial personality change. I don't want the new race to be as if you had been it the entire time. A new vampire would feel cravings, urges, and not be able to control many of their abilities. Third, about abilities. Only the healer and the magic user may have magic. I don't want super powerful spells and abilities. I want the basics. Have your character train to improve all abilities. A healer on page 1 may be able to heal minor wounds easily or close cuts after intense concentration, while a healer on page 50 is able to heal the entire team with a few words. However, this would train alot of energy. remember, your characters aren't invicible. They have limits. Fourth, I expect you to add to the story. I will do my best to make the sotry interesting but I want oyu to help to. You can always change the story, add side quests. Whatever. I like this stuff if it is done right. I can't do everything.

Our story begins on the third day of the third moon’s passing. It had been a whole year since Regulus had taken control of the kingdom. The kingdom was not a happy place. In a small village far away from Celeres, in the quiet market sat an inn, the Drink and Drop Inn sat quietly. Few people visited the town of Vale so the inn was hardly occupied. The main room was empty except for one person sitting alone at a table, a young tavern maid standing beside the kitchen door, and the withering figure of the Inn Keeper. The one customer was completely covered by a heavy cloak, hiding all masculine or feminine features. A bandaged hand held a full glass of wine. He/She had no interest in the drink. It had remained full over an hour. The person’s attention was elsewhere, far from the inn.
The tavern maid moved into the kitchen to retrieve the guest’s dinner. All rooms came with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The inn was not as prosperous as it had once been, and it’s food wasn’t as rich, but Donald refused to take away some of the luxuries given to customers. His wrinkled old bat of a wife always griped at him for not charging his guests for the food. He could make a lot more money if he charged. He knew that. His cook was the best in town. He also had the only inn for miles. Not many were crazy enough to spend a night in the outside. Monsters hunted at night. There were plenty during the day, but there were many more at night. They avoided most houses though. It was a mystery as to why the majority did not like to go near buildings. It wasn’t the people in them. They loved to feed on the occupants.
Donald knew all this. He could live a much better life. He didn’t choose to do that though. He wouldn’t change his inn because times demanded it. To do that would mean Regulus and his men had beat him. The Dark King couldn’t beat him. That’s why he didn’t listen to that harpy he was married to. The woman he hadn’t made love to in over fifteen years. It wasn’t because he couldn’t. No, he could still get it up. It’s because she wouldn’t consent. She stopped loving him a long time ago. She put him through hell. She was a money loving, husband controlling, shrew. Yet, he loved her. That’s why he never turned to another woman. He was seventy-one but, up until a year ago, he looked like he was in his early fifties. He had been fit, and still a charmer. He could have other women if he wanted them. He was always faithful though. He couldn’t say the same about her. He knew she had cheated on him on numerous occasions. The past year had drained the life from him. The Dark King had taken his health.
“Dee,” Donald called to the maid after she had given the guest his meal, potato soup with buttered bread and a couple strips of beef. “You’ve done such a good job. I don’t think your service will be needed any longer. Why don’t you go home early tonight? There is a storm coming and night will be on us in an hour or so. If you leave now, you won’t have to sleep here,”
“Mr. Donald, what about you? I’m sure Mrs. Donald will be missing you. You’ve spent every night here for the past two weeks. I’m sure she is missing spending the nights with you. I can take over here if you would like,”
“My Abigail, miss me?” He let out a dry laugh, “That’s probably so. I couldn’t leave you here alone though. The cook will be leaving soon. You would only have the guests to keep you company. We don’t know them well enough to leave you alone with them,”
“Leave me alone? What about you? Your health hasn’t been the best lately. You couldn’t stop anyone by yourself. I’m going to stay. I’ll keep you company,”
“You’re a sweet girl. If I was only forty years younger, I would have you in my bed tonight,”
“Mr. Donald! I can’t believe you’d say that. You know you could have me at anytime,” She placed a soft kiss on his cheek, the kiss a daughter gives to a father. It was a long running joke between the two. She had been working at the inn for several months. Donald and she had become close. It wasn’t the sexual relationship that their jokes suggested though. He was a second father for her.
Donald turned his attention to the stranger at the table. He normally would have accepted her offer to leave early but he couldn't leave her with the stranger in the cloak. He knew something bad was going to happen.

"Come. Join us Adrian. It's the mark of a new era! The new king will bring great glory to us all!" A dark skinned man in a royal guard's attire spoke cheerfully to a young woman, dressed in simular attire as they drank in the chambers of the royal guard. She picked up her cup, her bright skin darked by the roaring fires as she kept her face stern, shaking it at the man, her general's, comments.
"If I haven't told you once Johnathan, I've told you a thousand times... My loyalty is to King Alexander. Not some foreigner." She put her cup down and the sound of horns could be heard outside the chamber, signalling for the royal guard to take thier places at the palace, the start of princess Aureus' wedding, the start of a betrayal. The general stood up at the same time as the young woman, his dark eyes demanding and he spoke with a hiss.
"You will do as you're told... that is an order." He gave the woman one more stare before putting on his helmet and barking orders to the other guards. That stare stayed in her mind, burned into her memory and the next thing she remembered, was the newley appointed prince Regulus ordering the assassination of the royal family. Time seemed to slow down and all that her sight was focused on was King Alexander fighting against the traitored guards. Suddenly her body was also fighting against them, trying to make her way through the scene, but there was a sudden burning sensation from the back of her head. It burned there and then it crawled down throughout her body as her eyes saw nothing but blood. Her eyes closed, her breath growing sharp and everything seemed to slip away.
Liquid amber eyes shot open in a dimmly lit room and the young woman from before lay in a cold sweat in an inn's bed sheets. She caught her breath, breathing deep as she turned to look out the open window. The sky was grey and calling for rain as she sat up. She had slept for over 16 hours since she arrived at the Drink and Drop Inn from her long journey. Moving herself so that she sat up right in the bed, running a hand through her jet black lion's mane hair. She stretched her arms and slowly got out of the bed, putting on her leather boots and washed her face before straightening her warrior-like dark red garments and heading downstairs. She arrived and saw that only the inn keeper, the tavern girl, and an odd cloaked figure sitting off to the side eating his dinner. Dinner... that sounded like a good idea. Since her journey from the southern lands, Adrian had not had a decent meal in a rather long time. She had been hiding from the royal guard for sometime now ever since the assination of the royal family, but seeing as how today marked the anniversary of that horrible day, she figured time may have washed over that inncident and the guard would have more important matters to consume themselves with like unnessacary war instead of hunting her down. She took a seat at the bar and waited to be attended to. She was in no hurry and did not want to bother anyone.

A tall figure walked through the village, attracting many stares. Some whispered as the man they labeled as a 'savage' walked through, furs whipping in the wind. The man kept walking until he found one man, who didn't seem to be frightened of him. He got his attention and quietly muttered something to him. The man pointed to a market, to which the newcomer went. He strolled through the market, until he found the building he was looking for. An inn, apparently the only one in this village. The man entered after making a small prayer to his druidic gods. As he entered, he quickly scanned the room to find only a woman at the bar and a cloaked... person sitting elsewhere. The other two were quite obviously the proprietors of the inn, or at least worked there. The man sat a few seats away from the woman and rapped his knuckles on the surface. This man needed a drink, he had been traveling for days, and now was back in civilization. He hated civilization. The man began muttering indistinctly, and a small bug crawled in front of him. He set his finger down, and the insect crawled upon it. He brought it eye-level and kept muttering, pausing every once in a while. It was as if he was having a conversation. At one point, the man actually smiled, as if he had heard something funny, although no one was speaking. He kept muttering until he set the bug down, letting it crawl away. He then hunched over the bar, waiting for his drink. This particular man had been traveling for the past several years, wandering aimlessly. He had heard about Regulus a few days after the coup occurred, but felt nothing. This was merely the petty squabbles of man. Or so he thought until monsters of the night began emerging again. The man had to join traveling groups of people to avoid the monsters, most monsters preferred stragglers as they were less effort to capture and kill. This in particular struck a nerve with the man, as he wasn't particularly fond of people. He had been stretching his luck the past few days traveling alone.

A small girl was stood at the ramshackle wooden walls that surrounded their tiny, slum-like village. It seemed everyone from the village was stood around her, and she was fighting back tears.A tall girl with long, red hair walked up to her and hugged her, before handing her a small package wrapped in brown paper. The girl sighed, said a final goodbye to everyone, then set out on her long journey. It wasnt until she had gotten half way to the nearest big town that she actually realised what she was doing; She was going on an incredibly long journey to god knows where, with a very small amount of money and no means of travel. She tearfully collapsed to the ground and sobbed, opening the package that the tall girl-her oldest sister-had handed her and saw that it was a round, blue pendant that shone in the evening sun.She smiled as she recognised it to be the good-luck charm that was handed down through all of her family when they set off for their journey. As she sat looking at it, all of the bad thoughts going through her head drained away and she was filled with a new hope. She happily stepped forward to make money the only way she knew how; and that is how Claire Overstrand became a con-woman.
4 years later, Claire stood in a village square, by a marble fountain. She was carrying a heavy wooden box, fixed together by a leather strap. She flipped a latch underneath the box and two collapsable table-legs fell from under it.She opened the box, which was full of what some people might call "beautiful charms", but were actually just cheap metal made into a pretty pattern. The girl cleared her throat. "Ladies and Gentemen, I give to you a fantastic one-time un-belivable offer; Beautiful, delicate and 100% authentic charms that will protect you from anything;I have here charms to protect against sickness, monsters, and even fleas. And, I will even give you all a special introduction offer of buy one, get one free!" She shouted to the people, using her bright, cheerful voice. alot of the more gullible people gathered around her, and she laughed to herself, as requests were fired at her.By the time she was finished, the heavy box was almost empty and her money purse was almost full. I'd say that was a good day's work. Its a good thing, too.The last place chased me out with flaming torches and pitch forks... she thought to herself, walking down one of the paths to the inn she was staying at-she had booked her room earlier. She walked through the door of the Drink and Drop inn, and sat at a table, sighing. The journey had been a long one, and most of the time she had slept on the hard floor of a barn or, where availiable, the seedy roadside taverns.
