Tere trotted swiftly along the borders of Sophie and Raya's pack in the making, tail high, senses alert. So far, nothing seemed to be amiss, and she was glad. The pack was starting out nicely, and no serious problems have occured as of yet.
Her dark fur and bright blue dyes made her stand out, but she wasn't exactly looking to blend in. She would deal with any intruders if she could. She wouldn't hide and run back, tail between her legs, just because some strangers decided to saunter in. Sure, the pack was only just forming, but the scents along the border were easy to distinguish.
Once she was done checking her half of the borders, she circled around and headed towards the main pack area, in search of her Alphas. She was pleased with the report she had planned to tell them, as there were little to no disturbances. She could have merely called out to them, and find out where they were, but she didn't want to bother them unless necessary, and besides, it was always fun to catch them by surprise.

The female was busy tearing into the rabbit she had caught for her mid-day meal. She knew that the pack would go on a hunt together later tonight, but for now, this rabbit had walked right into her waiting paws. She had completely unexpected it, but she had enjoyed it all the same.
She was standing over it, her head bent over with her paws holding the rabbit down as she pulled strips of meat from bone. She chewed it thoroughly, swallowing before she heard the sound of another approaching.
Her first instinct was to grow defensive, but being she was in the lands that were going to be her packlands, she felt safe. She perked up, however, at least being alert at the incoming wolf.
When the black female came into the clearing, her blue markings sparkling, Sophie smiled. Ah yes, her Tere. She knew that face anywhere. The female was rather good at scouting the boundaries, and she had worked her way into Sophie's respect.
"Tere." She said in greeting, forgetting her meal somewhat, but not leaving from where it rested in her paws.

Tere padded deeper into the packlands, searching for her Alphas, when she got a whiff of rabbit meat in the air. She paused, curious. The hunt today had been planned for tonight, if she remembered correctly, and she rarely misheard a word uttered from Sophie. But a rabbit wasn't much to feed a whole pack. Perhaps it was a snack? The appatizer before the main course?
While she pondered, she had been walking steadily closer, and suddenly, though the smell of blood, she could scent Sophie. She quickened her pace, flustering self-consiously as she always did when Sophie was nearby, but she tried her best not to show it. It could be seen as a weakness, or a flaw, and she had no desire to show it off, especially in front of Sophie.
"Sophie." she greeted in return, lowering her tail respectfully. She scanned the area quickly. The other pack members were off doing their respective jobs, the rabbit was indeed with Sophie, and the pack seemed to be well. But....
"Is Raya not with you?" Tere asked. It was not the first time her Alphas were not together, nor would it be the last, but she always liked to make sure before telling her report (unless it was urgent, of course), just so she'd know if it was preferred that she wait until both of her Alphas were together before she spoke of it. That, and it was always a pleasure to be alone with Sophie. Even if it always started off with self-concious thoughts, Tere and Sophie had always been good friends, and it never took long until Tere was comfortable around the other's prescence.

She lowered her head to pull at another piece of the meat. Ripping it from the bone, she gulped it down. Blood stained her muzzle, and she licked her chops to get every last remaining bit. She picked it up in her jaws, and tossed it to the other female. She had had her fill, and she was unneeding of the rest.
"Raya is not with me at the moment no. Off seeking something to entertain her probably." She chuckled.
Sophie and Tere had history, and the fact the the two had found each other again just proved how small the world truly was. She grinned with a menacing smile, though it held no malice.
"Have you got any news for me?" She asked, flicking her tail and standing proudly. The blood on her muzzle giving her an eerie look, but still she was only Sophie.. Their alpha and she had their trust, and their loyalty.

Tere waited patiently for Sophie to finish her meal, glad that they trusted each other enough for Sophie to allow her to be so close. Others were often extremely territorial with food, growling and snapping about it when another came by. She could understand the reason for it, though, and she realized she should have been more corteous to her Alpha, and come later, when she was done with her meal. It wasn't as if she had brought anything of much importance to say.
But it had already passed, and she could do nothing to change it. It was best to let it go, and once more appreciate the bonds between them, she decided.
Tere stared at the meat that was thrown at her, and dipped her head thankfully towards her alpha. Before she ate, though, she nodded her head towards Sophie. "There don't seem to be any intruders. I caught the scent of someone near the north-eastern border, but it was a few days old, and the Varg didn't stay very long. Other than that, there were no other disturbances."

A Wolf of bad lineage might have snapped on the female for coming to her with such.. minimal report. But she didn't mind. It wasnt as if she was expecting anyone to approach so soon anyways. Their pack was still new.. Usually attacks happened when one was envious of another.
"That is good news indeed." She said, licking her chops to try to get the blood from her muzzle. Her ear flicked a bit as the wind blew, and she yawned a bit. Her body was standing tall, her head high, though she had been rather exhausted by the job that had befallen her.
"How do you like it here? Its a bit different than our old home.."

Tere nodded, leaning down to devour what was left of the rabbit. It might have been a rude gesture to a Varg she was less comfortable with, but she figured it would have been even ruder to ignore the gift, any gift, that came from Sophie herself. And besides, she finished quickly enough.
"It is." she agreed, looking around after shooting her alpha a worried glance. She licked at the blood on her muzzle distractedly as she watched the members that had joined the pack. Sure, their numbers were few, but they already had commom beliefs, held pride in themselves, and grew closer each day. Their pack was different than most, and it had never been attempted before, as far as she was aware. She was sure, however, that it would spark more than one male's pride to hear of it. To think one would start up now, in harsh times like these, when Man was about hunting them, more so than ever. But she was sure, under the guidance of her alphas, things would be okay. More than okay. She was sure the pack would grow, and thrive, until no one dared to threaten them.
"You've chosen a good place. I enjoy the territory, and the pack, very much." she said sincerely, although her eyes seemed more content to rest upon Sophie's figure than the pack itself, when she spoke.

Sophie listened and nodded. She was sure that the place was a good place to raise the pack. She knew that these lands were bountiful in food, shelter, and water that was always accessible. She had find a perfect piece of heaven to call home.
"Yes, I like the lands very much. I think that the pack will continue to grow..Strong and proud, we will be what females were always meant to be."
She smiled a bit with a snort.
"Superior." She knew that Tere had was attracted to her. Sophie felt it rather natural. She knew she was a strong, proud soul who was sexy as hell as well. It was just who she was. But she paid it no mind, maybe giving a gentle nudge of appreciation at best.

Tere lowered her ears slightly in embarassment, her eyes straying to once more look at the pack. It wasn't as if it was the first time Sophie had noticed her gaze. Occasionally, when Sophie noticed, she would acknowledge it, and only on rare instances would she respond with an appreciative nudge of sorts, but usually never anything more than that. Tere had stopped waiting for a response a long time ago, and never expected one anymore. She knew Sophie was prideful, although not in an overconfident way, who knew her own worth, and probably recieved many looks similar to one Tere had just supplied her with (her ears snapped back enviousy at the thought). And, besides, it simply made the moments in which Sophie deemed to reply much more pleasing.
"This really is different from our original packs. Especially yours." she added lightly, eyes flickering to look at Sophie once more. Her gaze held not a look of pity, but one of respect at the memory of what Sophie had done. She had come from a pack where females were treated poorly. She grew up surrounded in an enviornment where everyone expected her to grow up to be another lowly female. But she had chosen to break away from it, to come here, and to make a new pack, where females got the respect they deserved.

Sophie smiled, walking towards Tere, until she was side by side with her, only the opposite direction. She nipped at the very base of Tere's tail, where her tail met her back. A sort of 'flea-ing' n**, that was not painful, but one of the few signs of affection Sophie would show her followers, and only when greatly pleased.
She loved hearing that she did well. It was for the small part of vanity within her.
"Yes it is."
She turned her body and began walking, summoning Tere to follow.
"Come, Id like to hear of the things you see on your patrol." She said with a smile.

Tere lowered her tail shyly and kept her ears flat when she noticed Sophie stepping closer to her. Despite their relationship, Tere still felt it was disrespectful to assume that simply being friends with an alpha alowed you the right to choose not to acknowledge their rank. An alpha had to work for his or her rank, and they often deserved the repect they recieved. It was not Tere's place as a beta to brush off the simple actions that displayed respect to those it was inteded for.
She shivered lightly when Sophie nipped at the base of her tail, blushing. Perhaps it was just in her now overworking imagination, but her alpha's voice seemed much more alluring when she spoke. She would have loved to make a move back, possibly with a n** of her own, but she didn't want to impose any discourtesy towards Raya, even in her abscence, and so, with heavy reluctance, she did nothing but blush, and envy Raya for her position with the alpha she so loved.
"If it pleases you." she replied, following Sophie a bit to the side and behind. Tere was sure she wouldn't have minded one bit if Sophie had decided to continue, but it was known that her affections could change as quickly as the wind.

Thats what she loved most about being Alpha. Her members being so willing to follow her and help her with whatever she asked.
She liked Tere, and felt more comfortable with her than most of the wolves around..But they had history. When Tere approached her and followed obediantly, Sophie licked her cheek, before heading back out.
She walked through the trees. The cold earth hard on her paws. But she was used to the earth by now..She had grown used to it long long ago.
"It would please me. I like hearing your stories. You keep me entranced with your words sometimes." She flirted, though she knew that Tere knew what her flirting meant. Sophie was just a flirt. She enjoyed to talk to the females. She enjoyed keeping them happy. She just enjoyed her life so far.

Tere wagged her tail with pleasure at the lick, wondering when was the last time Sophie had shown her this much affection in such a short span of time. She knew Sophie was often a flirt, and Tere was sure she wasn't the only one besides Raya to have recieved Sophie's attention this way, but she couldn't help but to treasure the moments. She didn't know when, or exactly how, it had happened, but she had most certainly fallen in love with Sophie.
"Thank you." she replied. Her ears flickered with confusion, as by then she was unsure if her alpha would prefer more details of her report, or a story (perhaps a mixture of both?), but she decided to take it in stride. "Is there any in particular you would like to hear?"

As quickly as she had been so flirtatious, Sophie withdrew affection and stood a bit taller. More refound and proud.
"I think you should tell me of everything you've spotted."
SHe looked back at Tere and then forward again. Her eyes now strong and proud instead of the just before very flirty and open. She had her moments, but sometimes she needed to be reminded that she an Alpha, and needed to potray herself as one.
"Such as, the prey. Is it plentiful around here? Lots of strong ones, not just thin weak ones." She clarified, her voice the raspy tough voice that was completely her.

((I couldn't find much territory info in the I/T, so I just put whatever. OTL If you want anything modified or removed, let me know, and I'll edit this post ASAP. <3))
Tere, recognizing Sophie's change of posture, mirrored the action. Gone were her smiles, her bashful demeanor; to be replaced with a more professional disposition. She lowered her tail respectfully, considering Sophie as her Alpha now, not her puphood friend, and looked down when she saw Sophie's eyes upon hers.
"The territory is, as you've expected, outstanding." She motioned with her muzzle at some fruit trees they had passed. "There are plenty Lera, many of them healthy with the vegetation here. They range from rabbits to deer, and even birds and rodents are common. It seems this territory has been left unoccupied for some time, and even Man has left no trace here."
She motioned with her head again, this time in the opposite direction. "There is a rise just beyond the treeline. It's not very high, but I think it would be good for scouting. With the height advantage, a Varg would be able to see around for many more pawsteps. There would be less of a chance for another to ambush us, and claim this territory, so soon after you have found it." she said bluntly, not bothering to cover or sugar coat the fact that, although many members had joined recently, the pack was still new and, therefore, weak. There hadn't been enough time for them to get to know each other well, and they were basically friendly strangers with one another, although they had hoped to strengthen bonds between themselves with the hunt that was planned for tonight. She knew Sophie was aware of this, but she was also confident that Sophie could get the pack through the problem, and make them a pack to be reckoned with.
"There seem to be at least two large water sources." she went on. "The waterfall many of us go to, and a smaller stream deeper within the forest...." She continued to give detailed descriptions of the territory to Sophie, down to even what seemed to be insignificant details (after all, Varg who knew their territory well would have an advantage in battle), stopping only when she ran out of things to say. She waited for Sophie's response, hoping she would be pleased with the information she had been given.
