The day was seasonably warm, even if the air itself was bitterly chilly. A caramel colored female wandered the back passages of her home range. Her mate was around there somewhere, she could feel it deep within her bones, her soul calling out for the darker colored one called Sophie. Stopping atop an outcropping stone, the female took point and looked about with soft gold colored eyes. Brown ears pivoted to the sides as she listened, ever watched for just about anything. With a small rustle off to one side, the female pounced most pup-ish into the tall grasses to flesh out the small creature within them.

A young white and black colored rabbit dashed from the grass with the caramel wolf hot on its heels. She pawed at it as she ran, knocking the rabbit head over feet before it dashed another direction in its futile attempt at escape. Finally, she knocked it down again, taking the rabbit by the neck, she tightened her jaws and snapped its neck quickly, the rabbit barely felt a thing as it passed. With food in her mouth, she set off again, searching for her beloved. Searching for her Sophie.

She had been scouting. It was a job the other she-wolves of the pack held; but she enjoyed getting out to see the new home lands and such. Of course, as of now, they were far less new, and were beginning to truly be home.
They had done wonderful work making sure each wolf didnt kill more than it could eat..Or destroy more than it could repair..

She had been debating whether to continue or not on her excursion, but the smell of blood hit the female square in the face, and she couldnt help be perk her head up and breath deep.
Someone among her pack had hunted, and had a meal. If her belly had been any less hungry, she would have let the poor wolf alone about its meal.. But her belly was already rather rumbly, and she felt the need to approach to see what it could be.

When the sight of Raya appeared in her eyes, she chuckled a bit, a smile plastered about her lips.

"Raya, my sweet. You have sent an enticing scent to find me, all the way on my travels."
She mused.

Words spoken to her, made the caramel wolf's ears turn, her head swinging around limp body swaying in the motion. With brown tail wagging behind her, Raya turned and headed towards Sophie. As she drew closer, the rabbit slipped from her jaws and dropped to the ground. Raya yipped happily and nuzzled against Sophie, feeling like she had been away far too long. A pup all over again, she sat back, tail dusting the ground and disturbing what was scattered about.

"Was there any other way?" Raya smiled turning her head a little before lowering her head and nudging the rabbit closer to her mate. "It feels like I've been away oh so very long, almost thought you might have forgotten me." A tease of course as she slipped around and dragged herself lovingly against Sophie's side. "Besides, I was hungry and this little morsel gave itself away instead of keeping still and silent."

She had known well that rabbits didn't stay still when danger was about. No, they dashed as if their lives depended on it. Giving great chase and plenty of play. Sitting beside Sophie, Raya would allow her mate to eat first before picking up whatever was left behind. Or they would split the rabbit more or less in half. It made no difference, Raya was more happy then hungry now that she was with Sophie once again.

The connection the two females shared, was overwhelming. The love they felt impacted the entire pack, and there was no greater respect than the respect the pack had for the two Drappas. Raya was the motherly, loving type..Ready to forgive and let live as much as any mother should.
But Sophie was a bit harder on the others. She was the strength, Raya was the kindness.
It balanced the pack out almost perfectly. Giving just enough of everything to make sure everyone was happy.

She nuzzled into her mate, brushing against her alot like a cat would a humans leg. She would have purred had she been able to, but that would turn the wolf into a cat more or less, and she would prefer to eat anything feline.

She licked Raya's cheek, and looked at the dead carcass in front of her. Though the smell was amazing, she wasnt willing to take the food from her mate. SHe wasnt the type. Even if the other had been under her, rank wise..She was likely just to let them keep it, and maybe steal a nibble or two.
But she licked her lips, and her belly grumbled as she looked at Raya. Though she truly didnt want to stop talking to her mate, she chuckled.

"Oh my darling. Surely you know by now that forgetting you would mean the end of the world. Have you seen Hellfire or angelic wolves dancing about yet?"
She teased and winked.

Raya let her laughter ring through the air as she snuggled up close to Sophie, no she hadn't seen anything like that running about. Only the everyday mortal creatures she hunted to feed herself and her mate. Eyes dancing a little she laughed at the thoughts again, though this time more quietly as she nosed Sophie playfully.

"No love, I haven't seen anything like that floating around." Her voice somewhat musical. "But I do see a rabbit with our name on it." She looked down at the white and black rabbit pawing at it a little, rolling it over some. "I did catch it for us to eat."

Raya knew that Sophie wouldn't take anything from her, but she was offering half her catch to her mate. Lapping at her lips she eyed Sophie playfully, wanting to romp around in the grass and trees of their home like old times. It was true that Raya was the kinder of the two, she didn't see violence as a necessity for life to continue. Reaching down, Raya tore the rabbit in half and held the half in her mouth out to Sophie. She wasn't going to eat the whole thing and hated to see good meat go to waste.

Ears perching themselves forwards, she smiled over the meat. Though it did make her look quite the goof ball.
