Rayn wandered a local village, merely glancing here and there. Quietly she examined certain people's thoughts, searching for one pattern in particular. Where was it? I know it is somewhere nearby...
Rayn was indifferent about what she was doing, using her talents to track criminals down for police. The police feared what she could do but at the same were greatful for her talents. She'd often frowned on them, wondering why she was so different from everyone else, why she had certain talents and no one else did.
Who am I? Why exactly am I here? her mindvoice was soft as she thought. Being so young anyone could penetrate her thoughts.

Khira sensed a younger one of Carpathian blood and dressed with a wave of her hand, heading off to meet her. She approached Rayn, keeping her aura hidden as she did so, and after a few moments spoke, "Hello young one, what is it that troubles you?" she asked her voice like a beautiful melody as she spoke to her.

Rayn turned around to see the woman who appeared alot older to her then rayn was herself. "Who are you?" she asked softly. To an experienced carpathian, they would sense that Rayn wasn't a complete carpathian but half...

Khira smiled softly, brushing her hair back from her face, "I am Khira Dayana; and you young one?" she asked softly. She had quite easily sensed her Carpathian blood and no realized that she was only half Carpathian, which could not be a completely good thing.

"Rayn..." She said it softly, sweeping her gaze across Khira's figure, not sure what to make of her. She didn't feel evil, nor did was she the one she was after. Pausing her search for a moment, Rayn realized there was something familiar about Khira, or at least what she felt was akin to herself in some way yet she couldn't put her finger on it...

Khira watched her and smiled, "What are you looking for Rayn? Also where are your parents?" she asked wondering why she would be wandering without a male of her species with her or her family.

"I never knew my father... My mother is no longer alive and I'm searching for a deranged mind that I tracked out here..." Rayn kicked a small pebble that was close by to her...Why was she opening up so much to this woman? They didn't know each other....maybe it was just the comfort of another that felt like her...

Khira nodded, "You do not know who you are really do you Rayn? May I be of assistance to you? I have special talents too. Also do you have a place to stay if not I have a cabin not far from this area."

She shook her head. "Neither home nor a sort of identity. All I know is I bare different talents beyond a human...."

"Rayn," Khira started although not wanting to scare the girl off, "first you are welcome to use my home...for a girl like you and myself it will be a perfect hideaway and secondly I also had different talents and finally...you and I are going to have to speak because I believe I can anwser quite a few questions to which you are seeking answers to."

She frowned a little puzzled. "Lead on..." She had no idea how to shapeshift.... She did have several questions, a few having small echos in her thoughts.

Khira sighed looking at the girl and then nodded, "Alright...we will use my car for now" she said slowly making her way the the black Shelby GT Cobra Jet, it was about the one thing that she pleasured herself with buying since she had loved the car. "I have a feeling some of what i have to say might be supprising and some may not."

She looked to the car before slowly following her to the veichle. She slid in and admired the veichle's interior, dreaming of her own car someday...

Khira smiled looking over to Rayn before starting the car and shifting it into gear heading along the winding road that led to her cabin. "So...how old are you Rayn?" she asked taking a curb and shifting into fifth.
