I have a collection of books. I have about 1,000 or probably more actually. I would say that about 700 of those books are sci-fi or fantasy books. sweatdrop I don't think my collection is worth all that much because a lot of those sci fi books are paperbacks. Maybe it's worth a few thousand dollars, maybe somewhat more.
What are you collecting? Or do you want to collect something? How far did you go with it and is it worth anything??

My dad and I collect foreign money. He gets it when he goes overseas, and I organize it and, when I'm really bored, find out how much it's worth. We have the bills in a binder, and the coins are in a cigar box around here somewhere, but hell if I can find it.

I suppose I collect books, too. I have a couple that might be worth money some time in the future, which are the two books Laurell K. Hamilton signed for me. Other than that, I collect plushies, especially sheep. Right now I have over thirty plushies. Heh, funny thing is, I can count on one hand the one's I've bought myself and still have fingers left over. The rest have all been gifts.

Oh, yeah, and I collect hall passes, too. There's a stack on my computer monitor.
I also collect random crap and tape it to the back of my door. I have quite a collage going, and a bunch more stuff to tape up once I actually go do it.

My only collection is something I began and ended a few years ago when I went to New York in the summer... I collected beer bottle tops. They still sit there, and every Christmas my grandfather sends me a few from new beers he's tried.

I also collect Edokitties. Mwahaha.
A very interesting thing my friend Chris wanted to collect was library cards. To get a library card for every ole town you've visited, and all. I dunno, it sounded nifty to me.

Josh has a bunch of coins that he has collected when travelling around Asia - the ones that are on the top of my head without looking are from South Korea, Thailand, China, Japan, and I think Phillipines.
For me, I dont "collect" anything. Um, but I do download TV shows [like CSI, pro-wrestling shows, Smallville, etc].

I collect Thrash Metal vinyl. I've got a couple of pieces worth a few hundred, my favourite being an original Vio-lence 'Eternal Nightmare' 10" single with vomit pack.

I have a rather small coin collection, a quite large collection of old magazines and I collect, if you can call it that, Warhammer models. Also, I have a substantial amount of England memerobilia, mostly clothes.

I have a ton of foreign and special issue coins, but I don't have a system for collecting them or anything. I just take what I can find. I also have a few Warhammer models and forty or fifty Beanie Babies. *hides* I don't collect them anymore, though.

Books, especially fantasy/sci-fi. I get lots of gifts and B&N gift cards xd People know me, I guess. I also used to collect horse stuff, but I grew out of that years ago. Um...yeah, at the moment, my main collection seems to be little scraps of paper and whole notebooks (usually the back half of my supposedly-for-school notebooks sweatdrop ) full of little notes and story ideas and exerpts that strike and then demand to be penned and compiled and eventually used. Two shoeboxes full. One of these days I'm going to have to spend a little quality time with those shoeboxes...

i collect dvd's & music.. i cant have just an IPod of music, i have to have my bands as a cd i just have to.. if i get a cd of a band i like or want i have to get the cd i just can't keep it that way.. that i wanna support them, if the fans don't they wont go very far.. i dunno if that's really considered collecting though.. i also like to try to get a lot of Clash things, cause i really love that band.. so i'm on ebay buying memorabilia of them..
i also collect concert ticket stubs, i keep everyone i've been too.. for some reason i keep all my movie tickets too.. i also collect bottons and pins.. i guess you could say i also collect books, but it's just something to please me i doubt i have anything worth anything.. i collect the nightmare before christmas things, i love that movie.. another big thing for me is keychains i love them, and have a ton i mean a ton! i get them as gifts, when people go places they pick me up some.. i have little tiny tupperware one's, and all sorts of them.. i just think little versions of big things are adorable so my obsession with keychains began..
i also use to collect barbies & doll's, i'm not as into it as i use to be.. i still like them though, and if someone get's me some then that's good.. i just know i collect a lot of stuff, my room is nothing but cluttered, cause i collect so many different things..
