Post your character profiles here so that you can edit them at any time! This thread will also serve as an informational source for other RPers who are involved in roleplay with your character or are perhaps looking for a character that would get along with their own.

If you have more than one character, please put them all in ONE post. Use a different color when the new character info starts. You may include any relevant information. If pictures are large and stretch the page, please link to them. Only post ONE picture. Additional pictures must be *linked* to.

Feel free to add on to the profile form that was used to register. Be as detailed or as brief as you would like. Also, this should go without saying but... Do NOT under any circumstances have your character magically know all of the things you have OOCly read about another character at Windsor on this OOC profile thread. That's just crappy RPing.

So please, no, "Oh wow. You look sad. I bet your mom died in a freak fire in your hometown of Blahblahblah, leaving you alone with your three younger sisters." And one mistake that even good RPers make is not introducing themselves! You can't call a student or teacher by their name without learning it ICly first.

Without further ado, here are the characters of the Windsor Academy!

Character name: Jedrek Ralbofski
Race: half elf/half human
age: 20
Appearance:
User Image
((--Things about his appearance that I would love you guys to note! -- He is 6'6". His hair is extremely long and cumbersome.. I'll probably mention it in every post. His face is feminine to a degree, but his slavic blood balances it to make one pretty boy.)) Through years of sword training, he has become exceedingly well defined and really grown into his frame.
History: Jedrek was born to a human, Lyra, and her elven lover. His father, Piotr, lied to himself for years. He noticed the unusual point to Jedrek's ears; the astounding height; his acute abilities in regards to nature, but he was his father. He wanted it to stay that way. Jedrek's parents died when he was around fifteen years old. His mother was murdered for reasons still unbeknownst to him ((as an aside. She was killed because her tryst with the elf was discovered in the village. She was looked at as abomination for cavorting with magical creatures. The leader of their city didn't want the city to seem like it had a 'pro-magic' stance, so he had her murdered)), and his fathers body was found some weeks later after pledging to avenge her.

Piotr was an extremely successful blacksmith and taught Jedrek much of the trade. Jedrek has been living off of his fathers money and training himself in his newly discovered abilities. He keeps his fathers sword, Wydmir, with him at all times. With no one to protect him from the humans who feared him, he retreated into the woods homeless and lost until he found Windsor.
Abilities: As a half elf, he has extraordinary sight, reflexes, and speed. Jedrek has been training to swordfight and working the necessary muscles to fulfill his athletic potential. In addition to his fathers sword, he keeps small throwing daggers as well as an ornate bow sent to him by his biological father following the death of his parents.

He has an exceptional control over fire. He can create, extinguish, and control it. It also does no harm to his body. As a half-elf, he has an almost emotional connection to nature, which gives him some heightened abilities in earth magic. His most difficult gift to work with has been his telekinesis and telepathy. After working extensively to try and broaden his abilities, an unforseen gift, empathy, came out. He can sense, impose, and suggest emotions and thoughts to other people. At the moment, it is more of an overwhelming burden than a gift as he has little to no control over it.

*important weakness note* - Due to the intense relation that he has with fire, water magic often causes him to take a much higher amount of damage than any other. He will still be able to use fire magic after being hit by a strong water spell, but it will not be nearly as potent. His physical prowess will remain, but his magical abilities will be dampened. (literally).

Character name: Harold Windsor
Race: Human
Age: 53
Appearance: Standing at 5'6", Harold Windsor is not a terrible frightening figure. His soft, melodious voice and refusal to use his abilities unless absolutely necessary tend to put most of the students at ease. He has dark brown hair tinged with grey, and strong, handsome features suggesting a beauty lost. Despite his at ease aura, there is something frightfully powerful about this man that keeps the students in line.
History: Harold is the only son of the founder of Windsor Academy. His father died just under a year ago and his mother followed shortly after from grief. Unsure of where to go, he took over the duty of preserving his fathers dream. He is the current headmaster of Windsor Academy.
Abilities: After training for years in the academy and under his fathers watchful eye, Harold has become a truly powerful mage. He has the ability to control water exceptionally, and has minor wind power. He is extremely strong physically as well.
Classes: Elemental Magic (wind/water)

Character name: Mackenzie Danaan
Race: Elven
Age: 16
Appearance: Mackenzie is unusually short for an elf, only 5'4" due to malnutrition. Her fine black hair falls to her waist when unbound, though she usually wears it in a bun atop her head. Her slanted eyes that once were black are now a misty gray.
History: Mackenzie was exchanged at birth for a human child. Then raised by the humans who believed her to be their child until the village drove her out at the age of 7, when her heritage became unignorable. As an excuse for their behavior the village blamed her for a famine. In the process of driving her out, the local hedge witch threw an illegal substance into Mackenzie's eyes that completely deadened the optic nerve. Manageing to function through her other senses, she was taken in by a slightly older girl. Raelin lived a nomadic lifestyle going where her various jobs took her and applying whatever skills she had to earn money. When Mackenzie was fifteen they started taking jobs back in the direction of Wales and Windsor Academy. Originally they applied together and were accepted, however within the first week Raelin discovered that she couldn't live with the concept of being controlled and stationary. So Rae left Mack at the school with promises to return for her come summer break.
Abilities: Affinity to nature as usual to elves. Also she has heightened senses even beyond elven standards due to compensation for blindness. Also control over wind, to be developed later.
Dorm: G/1/A
Electives: Elemental magic and Ancient Runes/magic

username: Wolfiso
Character name: Heather McDervish
Race: Dwarf
Age: 40ish ;D
Appearance: Somewhere around 4' in height and solidly built. Her ruddy brown hair is streaked liberally with silver and usually kept in a servicable bun or french braided crown. Her eyes are a grayish green with a score of crows feet from squinting into cookfires. Other assorted wrinkles ornament her face from years of worrying over students who are too skinny to be eating properly. She usually wears a faded peasent blouse with the sleeves rolled up, sturdy skirt, and a scorched and befloured apron with somewhere around six or seven pockets depending on when she last did her mending. Gruff almost raspy voice from yelling orders around the kitchen.
History: Heather began life as a scullery maid in the royal household. Somewhere around the age of 11 she heard the story of the prince who ran away to found a school. Three years later she precociously packed up her belongings, tracked him down, and applyed for employment. Her magical skills, although not enough to need more than a few lessons of tutoring have made her sympathetic to the students and the schools cause. She's been working here ever since.
Abilities: Light empathy that developed into an uncanny ability to guess foods that people will enjoy. She's only been wrong once. I'll need everyone's help with suggestions before she serves you. I'll probably tweak things a little. EG: You suggest soup, she brings chowder. You suggest coffee, she brings hot cocoa. You get the idea.
Position: Assistant Chef, Head of George Dormitory Kitchens

ALAUNIIRA RILYNDUIS
A Student of Windsor Academy

User Image

GAIA username

Akina Tokuwa

Character name

Alauniira ("Harbinger of Power") of Rilynduis ("The House of the Whip")

Race

Half-drow elf/Half non-magical human

Age (this should be from 16-23)

18ish.

Appearance (photos, text, or both accepted)

Alauniira stands at 5'9", and though she is still quite thin, she has a curve to her silhouette unlike most drow women. Her hair is ivory with strands of silver interspersed, and her eyes are usually a soft teal-ish purple. (When the drow inside her takes over, like she does something evil, her eyes will turn red.) Her skin color is a bluish-gray, and it is far lighter than most drows.

Her hair falls past her shoulderblades, but she tends to wear it up for added mobility. Though largely straight, it holds curl easily thanks to the human in her so when she is doing a lot of movement it gets more body to it. Two examples of facial structure and features are this one and this one (which is also a great expression for the character). A spectacular example of expression, facial structure, and hair texture would be this here. And lastly, this is a good example of stature and expression.

When Alauniira is in her disguised form, which she always is in public, she appears to be a tan-skinned elf with black hair and purple eyes. Her features are identical; it is only the color that changes on her skin and hair.

History (background so we know where you're coming from)

Basically, Alauniira was born out of a cursed union in a time when being different wasn't exactly going to win any highfives. Her mother, a 17-year-old apprentice healer named Helena, was unceremoniously raped in the woods one night when she was out gathering herbs that could only be found in the presence of moonlight. Her aggressor was a disgruntled full-grown male drow elf who, on usual terms, would never even touch a human, but being lonely, he decided to simply rape and kill her so that no one would ever know.

Unfortunately, the young healer was a, well, healer, and was able to survive so that she could make it back to town. Little did she know, however, that in her womb lay an abomination waiting to be born. Helena, also unfortunately, was a foolish girl who couldn't even identify the fact that she was pregnant, for she was unfamiliar with elven pregnancy at that, so when she went into labor while running home past the cow pastures in the rain... well, she was pretty pissed. On top of that, the creature that fell from her looked exactly like the horrible creature that had harmed her earlier that year. Assuming it to be a demon, she cast the child down a well, but died from complications in labor before she could even make it back to the village.

If Alauniira could ever be known as 'lucky', it would be this part in her story that the title would fit. Later that very same night as her tiny body chilled to the brink of death as it sunk into the cold well water, an old drow priestess stopped to steal some water from the humans, but when she drew the basket up, she found Niira instead. Alauniira, at birth, looked very much like a full-blooded drow, and the priestess assumed her existence to be a sign from the gods that the child was special.

The drow community that the priestess belonged to would slowly begin to realize how special once Niira passed into adolescence. Her skin paled, her ear displayed only a slight point, her stature was short and more curvy than was typical, and her eyes were NOT the eyes of a drow. Already, the whispers began. Drow elves are a very violent, unforgiving people, and they would not tolerate any uncleanness in their midst. So on the eve of her 15th birthday, they set out to murder her in her sleep, but unfortunately for them, Alauniira was nowhere to be found.

Making off in to the night, Niira had sensed their hositilities, always secretly preparing for this day, and the young half-elf escaped to the woods to try and make it on her own. It would be in these years of struggle to survive, hiding from everyone for no one would trust a drow elf, that wind of a school would reach her ears, a place where she could be protected. So, with all the hope she could muster, Alauniira would make her way to the school so that she might become stronger in her magic and fighting to stand up to any oppressor.

Abilities (list any magic or martial arts of any kind that we should know)

As others have stated, there are certain things inherent to an elf: enhanced speed, hearing, vision, etc. Also, since Niira is a drow, she will have perfect vision at night and incredible stealth capabilities. She is also pretty acrobatic from hiding in trees. Oh, and she can sense when people are lying to her.

For magic, Niira trained as a priestess, dabbling in all kinds of elementalism, but she seems to have a proficiency for wind and earth magic. She is weakest with fire and is terrified of water. Also, going along with her stealth, she is very skilled at defensive shadow and illusory magic as that is more or less how she survived. When pressed, she can alter her skin tone to that of a normal elf to blend in and will likely enter the school with this appearance.

For fighting, Niira tends to use poison-tipped arrows and is more or less a long range fighter. She can kill you if she is far away, but she has to just run if the enemy gets too close. Her only weapon for 'close' fighting is a whip, and even that is a semi-long range weapon.

SKADI MACGOREN
A Professor of Windsor Academy

Character Name

Skadi Macgoren

Race

Half-Giantess Druid

Age

299 years in truth, but appears to be around her mid to late 30s.

Appearance

Skadi is a commanding woman standing at a proud 6’8”. She has snow-white hair that falls to her waist, but is always worn up in the tightest braids possible, which she wraps around each other to form a single tight bun. Despite her muscle tone and masculine height, the woman is actually quite fetching in the right lighting. Her eyes are ice blue and cold, but they have a very feminine shape to them. The same is true for her lips, though they are nearly always drawn in a thin line. She generally wears fur-trimmed clothing, no matter what the weather, with hard-soled boots.

[x]

Personality

Coming to Windsor Academy from the icy tundra of Scandinavia, Skadi still retains a thick, harsh accent though her knowledge of the English language is very good, lacking a refined vocabulary at times. The half-giantess is not the most forgiving of people and is without compassion for most people. She values strength and honor above all else and can be very one track minded. Still, her apparent oafish tendencies are no testament of her skill in combat. Skadi is a grandmaster of swords (long, short, daggers, throwing knives, etc.), axes, staffs, and fists. She has mastered archery, whips, chains, and other long-range weapons, but her proficiency is for close range combat. Whether or not she is particularly spectacular with a certain weapon, Skadi can teach a student to reach above her potential.

History

Descending from the proud giants of Scandinavia, Skadi fought her way into her family’s good graces after they initially rejected her for not being a full-blooded giant. Her years living in the mountains with them hardened her and started her down a road of a combat-driven life. After fighting her way through sixty years of life with the giants, Skadi finally took leave of them to further her studies in combat beyond what brute strength styles the giants could teach her.

She trained in many arenas, entering tournaments to win gold and make end’s meet. Her participation across Scandinavia in these tournaments earned her the nickname “Lady Backbreaker”, though she still claims to not understand why she was dubbed thusly. Her travels eventually took her to an ancient druid city high in the glacial region where she sought to become grandmaster of several combat studies. She trained there for 200 years to get to the level that she is at today, but will not speak of where this city is or how she was trained. Still, if Skadi does mention it, it is with complete nostalgia and euphoria.

After acting as a mercenary, Skadi grew tired of fighting wars for humans and decided to try and live a quieter life. Unfortunately, there aren’t many job openings for a trained combat unit with deadly accuracy, and the half-giantess found herself feeling purposeless. She decided, eventually, to pass the time by working for a king as his body guard, but Skadi found the work boring and her boss a racist sack of fodder. The druid woman left the king wordlessly, deciding that she would wander until she found her purpose. Lucky for her, she caught wind of a place called Windsor Academy before the sun set that day and was off to the school in a flash.

Getting the opportunity to teach young people to defend themselves appealed to the half-giantess so she took the job with a smile… or at least as close as she could get to a smile.

Abilities

If it has to do with combat, then she is either highly proficient in it or at least knows enough to teach the students the basics. Though she personal prefers offense, Skadi is a firm believer in teaching students to defend first, which she does with incredibly dedication and enforcement. Do not talk in her class.

Aside from hand-to-hand combat, Skadi is a fairly skilled ice mage, though her talent really lies in non-magical fighting. A little known fact about the half-giantess is that she has a soft spot for bunny rabbits and plays the harp in her spare time.

Class

Non-magical self defense

SquirrelWizard's Characters

Student

Character name: Edward Marks
Race: Human
Age: 20 (looks about 20 and a day though)
Appearance: Edward has wild brown hair that is borderline insane. Its not like it breaks the laws of gravity but it seems to shift every day. He has saphire blue eyes that at times can seem to pierce all the way to a persons soul, but often is considered pretty relaxed. Standing at about 5' 8", Edward is the definition of lanky, and he wears baggy cloths, so he seems to be kinda malnourished all the time. He wears a black to gray shirt (been through many washings) and a pair of brown pants. The only oddity of his dress is his feetwear. He wraps his feet instead of wearing boots/sandals, but that is explained later.

History: If the term "Cursed at birth" meant being a semi curse magnet, then Edward is a text book case. While he has, or had, no specific magnetism to actual curses (after the first 10 he can kinda sense when one is about to be unleashed) he is curious. And he is facinated with magic. But that is not exactly important at the moment.
Orphaned at birth (as most RP characters are) Edward was raised by an old man in an even older part of town. Training as a thief wasn't forced on him, more of it came naturally, he had light fingers, and quick reflexes. It wasn't until he saw a local mage preform magic that he found himself torn between his facination with magic, and a nagging sense of dread. He joined the mage (without the mage's concent naturally) and started his journey into the world. It wasn't until the first village he was noticed, and some several quick words, and even quicker thinking, he found himself working for the mage (who will remain nameless).

He traveled a bit of the world (not much but they hit some of the more exotic spots) and he saw first hand some of the more magical wonders.
While people may shun magic, nobody can deny that it exist. This is true with curses. Unfortunantly curses work on anybody regardless of belief. Edward, much to the mage's dismay, found himself the target of many minor curses. These included growing a third arm, loosing all his hair on his body, violently attracting all nearby objects, and backwards speaking. Of the many curses he has endured (and been purged of) two remain notable, with one being at large. First, at some point he was a girl for one month. He doesn't like to talk about this so there isn't much information on that.

The second curse is a very old one. Edward and his master were in one of the temples dedicated to some cat deity. In this case it wasn't Edward's driving curiosity, more of his lack of balance. While carefully examinging the ruins Edward accidentally stepped on a rock that shifted in the sand throwing him backwards. Next thing he knew he was waking up with the mage looking very worried at Edward, for Edward's head had taken to a spirit vase like a sledge hammer takes to a watermelon, just without all the gooey watery mess. It was later that night that Edward discovered the curse visited upon him.

Every night, just as the last rays of the sun drop below the horizon, Edward shifts into a humaniod cat. This is much akin to a were-cat, but the term were-cat implies that the said creature is a 10ft tall slavering cat beast of death. In which all Edward gains from his transformation is a light brown fur, feline facial features, claws and an irritation known as a tail (at least until he adjust his pants) In many ways Edward is a poor example of a failed werecat. I mean even a failed were cat can pick a horse up and throw it during combat if it needed to, Edward only becomes slightly more agile, which only makes him harder to hit (of course he aint' complaining). Even more so, Edward doesn't turn into a panther/tiger/lion when he assumes quadrapedial form, instead he turns into a normal everyday house cat. Edward has also found out he can control his form, but this takes concentration and much effort, and often leaves him with the sudden craving for fish, and the temptation to chase small furry rodents.
It wasn't until recently that the mage informed him of Windsor Academy and hinted (much along the lines of telling him to go) there and study. This may have been due to the fact that the mage's head was pounding from a huge hangover (because a recent curse from a Viking Mug turned all drinkable water in the vicinity to a very potent liqour), had bugs in his bed (from the most recent locust swarm) and had a feeling that he was going to be consitpated for the next week (happened when Edward poked a gem). The mage also told Edward to make no mention of the mages name, because the mage wanted to be safe.

While Edward will shift from human to were-cat form, he doesn't like to announce it, and will usually try to find some quite place to go through it. The transformation isn't painful, but can be unsettling to those who are watching it.

Abilities: Edward is a cross between a thief and a mage, he posesses a hodge-podge selection of skills that generall allow him to get out of trouble. Also, he has a pretty extensive knowledge of curses (or at least their effects) and has learned a few counter curses (like "Revearsal" where all objects heading towards you fly back to their orgins) and a few curses (not the extremely deadly kind, but definately debilitating). He can pick locks, pilfer pockets and generally stay down when the fecal matter hits the occilating air aggitator. Since Edward (in human form) is less inclined to fight, and makes extensive use of illusions should the need to arrise.

Edward is fiercely indepenant. His life has shown him nothing else, except that you can only depend on yourself. He thinks quick, and acts even faster, a trait that has helped him survive many encounters, and he expects people to do the same. While he doesn't hate people because they are inexperienced in a subject, he doesn't like working with them in the field, as they will often brake his stride, train of thought, and force him explain stuff that he already knows. Those who have just started working with him, will be slightly put off by his method of communication. The more dangerous the situation comes, the less he says, but at the same time, the more direct to the point he becomes. Some times he will say nothing, expecting people to act on their own experience in certain situations.

Character name: Jardu'k Hammerforge
Race: Dwarf
Age: 495 (roughly 30 in human terms)
Appearance: Standing roughly 4'6", and at about 260 pounds, Jardu'k is nobody to be trifled with. He is not, in fact, fat, but is instead described as stout, or solid. His beard and hair seem to mesh as one Nutmeg Brown being, but he keeps it well trimed, and clean, as a dwarf's beard is his pride. He wears a large wide brimmed leather hat that is brown, and earthen colored baggy shirts and pants. When he is outside, he wears a black cloak, unless it is specifically warm.
History: Jardu'k is a very down to earth dwarf. He sees all the fancier theories and methods of magic to be wasteful and distracting and he teaches the basics. Born in a nearby mountain, Jardu'k was raised in a multiculterual setting, and has grown accostum to most of the other race's wild ways. Students grow to like and dislike Jardu'k at the same time. This is because, when he teaches his class, he demands upmost diligence and respect (as they are working with powerful forces, no place for a slacker), but outside of the classroom he is very amiable.
Abilities: Mastery over stone and fire. he dabbles with other magics. Golomn (he can animate stone for heavy lifting and the such, covered in Stone Mastery)
Classes: Magical self defense, Elemental Magic (earth), and Ancient Runes/magic

Xyrn of the Oath's Characters:
Student

Character name: Lady Coltrane "Col" Bloss Artois

Race: Human, for the most part at least

Age: 19

Appearance: Col is just taller than the average woman at 5'6". Her legs are long, and her figure is curvy- a bit more than usual do to the recent birth of her child. She is slightly built, and muscular, but in a fast, sinewy sense. Col's hair is a light, faded brown in coloration, making it just darker than white, downy in texture, and falls with a small curl to her lower back. A small sprinkle of freckles fall across her fair nose and cheeks. The most distracting thing about her though is her eyes. The irises are the piercing light blue/gray of dirty ice, with a constant cynical look in them. A tattoo of a red rose being consumed by flames rests on her left shoulder blade. A rather nasty looking burn scar incases most of skin on the underside of her right wrist, but Col almost always has this covered with cloth. Several unusally placed scars also grace her body, but as these are rarely seen by the public, Col tends to ignore their existance.

History: Coltrane's (or Col as she would much rather be known) mother and father were in love, kind of. Her mother was completely devoted to her husband, and it was said that the only thing her father, some lesser noble with no hope to the throne, loved more than his wife was his fortune.

The two lived happily together for a number of years, until their first and only child was born, when Col's mother died in childbirth. Col's father, Lord Esmond, was sad for a few weeks, before he found an even prettier bride with a better dowry.

Esmond never took great length to hide his disappointment that his first (and probably only- his second wife was declared sterile shortly after her wedding. Esmond was far to in love with her money to part with her) heir was a girl, and made it his mission when Col was still a newborn to raise her into the perfect, docile bride that (rich) suitors would contend for.

His plan started out perfectly, and for the first eight years of Col's life, she was a happy child well on her way to becoming the perfect bride, completely oblivious to the mental and sexual abuse she was suffering. Esmond's plan crumbled though when his seemingly perfect daughter made a very public (if accidental) first display of her powers.

Col's father was completely normal when it came to supernatural powers, but he began to suspect that rumors of his late first wife being a mage and part dryad might have more merit to them that he had originally granted them.

Nevertheless, Col was rarely allowed out of her room after this incident. Many of the townsfolk assume that if Esmond had taken the proper measures then to accommodate his "unique" daughter then, things may have played themselves out differently.

As it was however, Col grew for the next two years under tyranny, becoming increasingly violent and unhappy as the days dragged by with how her father was handling the dilemma, beating her powers out of her. The young girl reached the breaking point on a night shortly after her tenth birthday, when after a rather nasty encounter with her father's latest atempt at solving her power dilema, she stole away from her father's manor, suffocating a sentry in the process.

For three years she lived as a petty thief, and later as a highwayman, or highwaygirl rather. When she was nearly fourteen she fell in with one of the area's foremost gangs of thieves and assassins, originally earning her keep distracting estate lords (by drugging or sex, take your pick) as her fellows plundered their land, stole their riches, and had their way with the unfortunate man's wife and daughters, but later finding a particular affinity for poisons, and making her contributes to the gang that way.

For this entire time, Col's various powers never really came into play, pardon the few times in her early years with the gang, when she would find it necessary to cause the lungs of some unfortunate man explode with her control over wind.

When Col was roughly sixteen, her talents, both magical and non, as well as her looks (she really began to live up to her one eighth dryad heritage) came to the notice of the band's leader, Diomedes, who was looking for someone as both a companion and mother to his official heir (technically, he had lots of heirs, he was just looking for an some better genes).

For the longest while, it looked as if Col and Diomedes were to be wed. This belief strengthened among the gang's members when Col bore Diomedes's child, a baby girl named Sidero.

That was until one of the band's member's got himself captured, and spilled the identities and whereabouts of the gang's higher member's, most of which had a hefty price on their heads, in return for his life.

Diomedes was executed almost instantly, and a local woman took in Sidero. Col's fate was less clear. As she was female, the local officials were hesitant to kill her, despite her many crimes. They also knew that releasing her would carve their own headstones. In the end, they ended up looking her up in a jail cell, with a sentence of fifty years.

Col hardly spent a month in prison however. As soon as her father (who all this time had been trying to find himself an heir) got wind of a girl matching Coltrane's description had been found, he came instantly to her defense, claiming that the mixture of guilt for causing her mother's death and confusion over her powers had driven her mad.

Despite the outright lie of this, the judge pardoned Col. It became soon apparent however that Col would much rather rot in a dungeon than return home with her father. It was decided instead that it would be best if Col learned "proper" control over her abilities. So Esmund took his granddaughter Sidero home to be his heir, and Col was sent packing to Windsor Academy.

Abilities: Col harbors excellent control over wind, and can deal decently with water, when she isn't an emotional wreck of course. Col is absolutely hopeless in control over fire, and has yet to regain her minimal earth control since the birth of her daughter. She also has a knack for telekinesis, but is limited, as Col spent most of her time developing her more "fun" abilities. She can be rather charismatic at times, allowing her to relieve her unwary victim of whatever their pockets may hold. Col has experience in a very general style of hand-to-hand combat, designed for effectiveness rather than show. She fast, but not one for brute strength after an initial blow. Coltrane is extremely bright and cunning, but as she prefers others to overlook this, she had been known to act simply and with impulsiveness. Col has excellent memory capabilities, a thing that has helped her both as an assassin and as a noblewoman. She is also very apt in poisons.

Character name biggrin amien Thorn
Race:Half Elf
Age: 18
Appearance:A pale, black haired boy, with pointy ears. He is dressed in a black tuxedo and wears a opera mask fitted with one way lenses, desgined to look like a skull, without a lower jaw. His lower jaw and neck are the only parts of his body that are bare, and are slightly scared, but that is all you can see of his flesh. A long cape flows behind him, pitch black on the outside, and blood red on the inside.
History:Damien Thorn was born of an influentual british Politition, Robert thorn, and an Elven ambassedor to the human world. As such, he was brought up to be the perfect gentlemanly knight, and he would have been such, had strange things not started happening around the time he turned eight. Fires started unexplainably in his presence, and fires already started raged out of control. One night when he was ten, a massive blaze started in his bedroom, and covered most of his body in first Degree burns, except for the area around his mouth and neck. For his parents, that was the final straw. They went to the nearest magic smith and had him craft a magic sealing mask for young Damien, and told him to wear it every hour of every day, except when he was under the supervision of his new magic tutor. When he became old enough, Damien was sent to Windsor, and was given his current suit, which is fireproof and mask, which had the opposite effect as his old one, enhancing his powers, rather than sealing them.
Abilities: Damien is a Pyrokenitic, meaning he has control over the element of fire. He can start small fires, and make ones that are already burning obey his will, for example he could create a fire in his hand, form it into a ball, throw it, and have it explode on contact. The fires he starts still need fuel and thus he carries around a large, very ornate box of matches.
Dorm: G 2a
Electives: Ancient Runes and Magic, and Elemental Magic

Character name: Sano Shadowwalker

Race: Elf

Age: 17

Appearance: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

History: Sano comes from a line of 'dark elves' his Grandfather, Keiyou (recently deceased) and his Grandmother, Yoshiri (murdered 75 years ago) once lived with many elves in a forest far away with their only child, Sano's mother, Karria (15 at the time of Yoshiri’s death). Unfortunately, humans came and murdered many of the elves, including Sano's grandmother. Keiyou and Karria fled with Sano's father, Jikarr (age 17), the only other survivor. They found refuge in Prince Windsor’s newfound village. For most of Karria and Jikarr’s lives Keiyou taught her the arts of their clan, which was in fact ‘dark magic’. When Karria and Jikarr were around the age of 30 they were married, and Keiyou had taught them all he could. They lived alone in a small house a small ways away from the village. For a long time the children they had died shortly after birth. When Karria was 41 and Jikarr was 43, Sano was born. They were lucky he lived; they were lucky he was even born. Until Sano turned 16 Karria and Jikarr taught him dark magic. He was amazingly good at it, and unlocked many secrets of his ancestors. When he turned 16, however, his parents made him promise to never use the deadly spells he knew. During his first year at Windsor he was constantly in trouble, he was nearly expelled because a student ended up dead thanks to his magic. He plans to be a good little elf, that is, until the curse is off, who knows what he’ll do then….

Abilities: He is a Dark Magic adept, but uses very little of his magic nowadays because last year he ended up with a curse that makes him exhausted after using one of his weaker dark spells. However if he does well and keeps out of trouble for the first few months of school, the curse will be removed. He also controls a moderate amount of psychic power, his range in that area is infrequent telepathy and can make an item hover for 25 seconds to a minute, depending on the density of the object.

~Scarlet_Teardrops's Characters~

Gaia Username-Scarlet_Teardrops

Character Name-Hanille Rogan

Race-Human

Age-Sixteen

Appearance- Standing 5'8, Hanille is quite tall for a girl her age. Because of the pale tone of her skin, she tends to wear thicker, less revealing clothing so as to avoid harm from the sun's ultraviolet rays. Hanille prefers more ominous shades of clothing, such as dark grays, dark blues, and blacks. She also prefers cloaks and robes, as they have the ability to cover more flesh with less cloth. Her eyes are gray, a very dull gray, with a small pinch of pink. Hanille's body structure is very well-rounded; an average looking girl except for her features. Falling to her shoulders is Hanille's very light, soft blonde hair.

History- Hanille was born into a rather poor family. Her father made money by farming for a large, proud plantation owner named Darrel. While he was busy doing his work, his wife, Amelia, spent her days taking care of Hanille. When the young girl was six, her mother fell terribly ill with a mysterious sickness. She died two months after her symptoms had appeared, leaving Hanille and her father alone. Unable to take the strains of working and taking care of his daughter, Aros was forced to give her up. So, not wanting to leave her on the streets, he took her to a local church. The priests there agreed to provide her with shelter, food, and clothing. After kissing his dearest child good bye, Aros left, vowing to return for her when he had more money. That was the very last time Hanille ever saw her father, and while she did not know of his true fate, there were whispers that Aros had been killed in a farming accident.

She did not know any of her relatives or their backgrounds, and both of her parents had now been taken from her by death's icy grip. What a life. As she grew older, Hanille began to realize she was a little different from other children. Most of her time was spent inside the temple, so she had very little social interaction with people outside of the church. When she did manage to get outside and be around others, she was often shunned and pushed away. This treatment helped her grow very bitter and cynical. Yet, while her people skills suffered, Hanille's morals and beliefs developed, nurturing her will and perseverance. This inner strength kept her alive when she wanted to die, and also assisted her in keeping her sanity....or, most of it at least. At age fifteen, something amazing happened that would change her dark, miserable life forever.

While she was being scolded by one of the priests, Hanille lost control of her emotions, and struck back. She had hurled some sort of magical energy at the man. 'Twas almost a form of ice. Where had this ice come from? Panicking, Hanille tried to escape, but she was stopped by the head priest, Magnus. Magnus was the only person that had really been kind to Hanille, and she had grown to trust and care about him. When she reluctantly told him of what had happened moments earlier, he knew that she had powers that many did not have...and that she was a person that would be despised, and hunted.

With this new knowledge, both he and Hanille began searching for a place where she would be welcomed. They found a place, but she would have to wait a while before she could become part of it. During her last year at the temple, Magnus allowed Hanille to secretly hone her powers, hoping that they would be good enough for their ideal school of magic. Every day, Hanille would be forced to meditate, and play around with her abilities. At first, she was only able to create something during extremely emotional moments, yet after months of practice, she was able to use her magic to a decent extent. When she was finally of age, Magnus sent Hanille, with all of her belongings, to Windsor Academy. As he watched her leave, Magnus wept, and prayed that this girl, practically his daughter, would make it safely. This was the start of a new life for her, and there would be both smooth and rough days ahead. Would she survive? Only time would tell...

Abilities- Almost every living creature needs water to survive. While this is known to many, very few of them give it the appreciation, thought, and attention it receives from Hanille. She knows very little on why or how she has the ability to control and create water, but she doesn't really care either. Her abilities revolve primarily on this life giving substance. Because it flows within her body, Hanille is able to create water without a provided source. While this is useful to her, it also forces Hanille to drink more water than usual. If she is not careful, her body will grow dehydrated, lose energy, and she can die. In emotional times, whether it be anger, sadness, or glee, her water often turns to ice upon hitting air. Despite being unmastered, she also has physical alteration abilities, such as healing or even wounding. While this is weak, and only occurs occasionally, Hanille believes she can learn to improve this additional gift given time.

Electives- Elemental magics and Herbology.

Dormitory- Marina, 12 B

Professor

Character Name-Alsiria Develuni

Race-Half Elf, Half Human

Age-57 years old, but she looks to be about 22-23 years old due to her elven blood.

Appearance-Alsiria stands at about 5'10, making her taller than pretty much all of the professors at Windsor, save Skadi. She has thick, beautiful black hair that falls to about the middle of her back, and gray, soulful eyes. Her skin has been tanned well, but she's not terribly dark. Her body appears healthy, and she is quite attractive. Alsiria's style of dress differs depending on what she's doing, but most of her clothing is black, and she also enjoys robes.

History-Alsiria's mother, Mae, was a human of germanic descent. Her father, Lucius, was a fair, elven sorcerer. Mae had met Lucius when he came to her door, asking for shelter from a storm. Being compassionate in her nature, Mae couldn't turn him away, even though he WAS an elf, and elves were strictly forbidden. They began spending more time with each other, and slowly began to fall in love (Aww 4laugh ). Eventually, they decided to get married, and did so in secret. 'Twas shortly after that time that Mae learned she was pregnant. This frightened Mae, because she knew that the child would be forsaken, as would she, and Lucius would be killed. Still, her loving husband tried to comfort her...but even he was unsure of the future ahead...

Mae's fears were confirmed when Alsiria was about eight years old. While their daughter had been growing up, both Lucius and Mae had devised an escape plan. Lucius knew an elven elder, a mentor, that lived in an observatory miles away, up in the mountains of the countryside. They would take their daughter by horseback to this mentor should anything happen. The plan wasn't foolproof though. As Lucius and Mae attempted to escape, they were caught. Lucius, being a sorcerer, was able to buy Mae enough time to escape. He was killed shortly after his wife and daughter had reached the woods. Still, the distraught women pressed on, and after fighting through the elements and rough terrain, they found the observatory.

(Okay, I'm going to try to shorten this. It's long enough as it is.)) Alsiria grew up with her new guardian. Through him, she learned about the mystical creatures of the world, creatures that most humans didn't know existed. He had many tomes and works of lore, and she spent a lot of time reading. Eventually, her powers became obvious, and the mentor, being magical himself, helped her raise those powers to exceptional levels. As her abilities sharpened, and she continued to grow older, Alsiria's mentor helped her ease out of her environment, and helped her grow into the world.

After some time, both Alsiria and her mentor began looking for a place where her skills would be of use. The elderly elf remembered learning about a school of magic that was under a man named Harold Windsor. From that point on, he kept a close eye on the school, and when he learned of a needed flame professor, he quickly helped Alsiria pack and sent her on her way. With her, he sent several tomes, and many different parts of creatures and some small artifacts.

Abilities-Alsiria's guardian and mentor believed in equality and balance, and therefore, taught and trained her in the ways of each of the elements. While he did so, Alsiria was especially skilled with fire, and she could not only create it without a source, but manipulate it with ease and finesse. Because of this, Alsiria focuses mainly on her abilities with the searing element, but she makes sure that she practices with the other elements to keep them from dying away from her. Alsiria also has a great deal of knowledge about the world's animals and its mystical creatures.

Classes-Alsiria teaches Fire Elemental Magic, and she may throw in a bit of knowledge about the other elements as well. She also shares her knowledge of animals, both normal and mystical, in a new class known as Beastology.
