My mom's Uncle Peter just died on Wednesday and that really made me think. Life is just something to get you ready for death. It's like a review.
You can do whatever you want in the review, but it all comes back during the test. What you did right, or wrong. Something you wish you had done, something you wish you could change. Life is like a time to better yourself and prepare yourelf for death.
I guess it's like a retreat, You're sent to earth until your expiration date comes around. Nobody knows when theirs is. They just have to live life to it's fullest, do what they want, follow their dreams.
In other words, life is just a pop quiz, sprung upon without hearing your words. Life is just a quiz. The real test is death.
Maybe death isn't the real punishment. Maybe it's life. Maybe you've already died in another era, and God is just sending you back to see life for what it is. Short. Cruel. After everything you do, no matter how great you are, death always reaches out, her cold hands grabbing at your heart until every once of life is sucked out. She's not doing something bad. She's doing her job, to relieve you of your punishment.
God is calling you back to your true home.
