Ok, so. I am officially referring to myself as a Christian now. I am a follower of Christ. I go to church, and I read and study the bible, etc. etc. However, I am not a stereotypical Christian.

I've seen a lot of people bash Christians for being "intolerant" or "hateful". I want it to be known that we are not all like that.

So I'll start with telling you my beliefs on major issues.

I am against abortion. So, I feel that it is my mission to never have one. And that is it. I don't see the need for a law stating that a woman has no right to choose. If you feel that it is moral to get an abortion, and you want one, please talk to someone before you do it, because you can't undo it. If you are sure, though, then it is your choice, and not mine. I have already said how I feel. I do believe it is a life, but I also believe that there are legitimate reasons to have an abortion. I do ask that you don't use it as a means for birth control. It's not healthy for one, but two, it's not practical. Get the pill.

I am against gay marriage, therefore, I will never get one. I am not gay. If you are gay, that's ok. It's either your choice or how you were made (depending on your view). Everyone has a right to love whomever they want. It's not fair to limit the rights of marriage. Personally, I think that the government should only recognize civil unions for EVERYONE. Marriage is a religious ceremony, and the government needs no position on the matter.

I am not against drinking. I am against drinking in excess. There is no purpose in drinking until you throw up. If you like the taste of alcohol, then drink a little in your own home or plan to have people drive for you. Be responsible. If you are an adult (or want to act like one) then you need to take responsibilty for yourself. (btw, if you drink, you are likely to get drunk, and once you are drunk, you are no longer thinking intelligently (if you were before) so I would advise you to not do it...it gets away from you fast).

I think that premarital sex is wrong, but. If you can't be with your significant other without having sex, then your relationship is unhealthy. I understand that things happen, but it starts out as "just happening" and quickly turns out to be part of plans. Also, same with drinking. If you don't care, and do it anyway, then plan to be pregnant. There is really no such thing as an "accidental pregnancy". Sex isn't like a car wreck. I will be glad to hear how your boyfriend tripped and fell on you while you both were naked and accidentally came and now you're pregnant. THAT is an accident. But if you don't want to use contraceptives, then be prepared to take care of a baby. That IS where babies come from. Premarital sex draws you away from God. It puts your mind in areas that need to wait for marriage, and away from the studies needed to become a better person.

I am a Christian, therefore, I go to church. I will ask anyone to go with me, and I promise you won't be uncomfortable. If you don't want to go, just say you don't want to go. I'm a Christian, not an idiot. I understand that people have their own religions and their own answers. Please, if you do, listen to those morals. Also, don't bash other people's religion. They are just as devoted as you are. (I do, on occasion, do that. I am sorry if I have ever done that, and I will forgive anyone that does it to me.)

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.







We believe in one God,

the Father, the Almighty

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,

the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,

by the power of the Holy Spirit

he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;

he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again

in accordance with the Scriptures;

he ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,

and his kingdom will have no end

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge only one baptism.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come. Amen.
