Please make sure you have read the GUIDE for Future UTOPIANs as well as everything on this page before you apply. Anyone can apply, regardless of your gold, status, etc. Even if you are not a regular of the charity you can still apply but chatting and posting makes you stand out and have a greater chance of being chosen. * Every LAST weekend of the month UTOPIA's doors will be open for up to 20 new UTOPIANs (We can range from having 1 new member or the whole 20 new members). So how does UTOPIA choose? First check if you qualify based on our requirements, and then make sure you’re one of the first 30 people to apply. * REMEMBER, applications to be a member starts on the 21st and ends on 31st of each month. If it is, congratulations! Wait for your Monthly Collectible Gift and Guild Invite.(PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GUILD INVITES OPTION IS OPEN). Now move on to step 3. If your name is not listed sorry, but you have to wait for the next journal entry to re-apply for next month. Please don't be offended if you aren't picked the first time; we might just want to get to know you better before we accept your application, or maybe you made a mistake on your application ^^; STEP 3: And if your name is listed, wait for a PM from us with your UTOPIAN ID. Thats why one of the main reasons of wishing to join is to make him proud of me continuing to support him and letting his legacy live on. Another reason is the fact that all the oldies from Plexi's thread are present here thus making me continue to love and support Plexi as well as all my friends who reside in there. I would consider myself a nice and optimistic person and I've made so many friends from Plexi's threads and Purgatory since I first found her 1k shop. I guess a skill I have is to draw and I love giving out freebies~ I'm really thankful for having met all those people and think being a Utopian would help me meet even more. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I've helped in a charity, completed various small quests(ice gauntlet, lunar cloak, etc). I've won runner up in an art contest and have donated a couple items to various people/threads (coco, gwee). Oh, and I also own a small art shop although I barely get any orders. A big part of me wanting to be a Utopian is because I don't like being left out of the loop and having no idea what's going on with everyone else. I like feeling accepted. (Come on, who doesn't?) I try to help out as much as I can. People tell me that I am funny a lot, but I do not know if that counts. xD Anyways, now moving onto some special skills of mine. I can make adorable little avatar emotes and banners. I consider those two things my only skills. Unless you count making threads all pretty and colorful an skill. In conclusion I think that I would make a great UTOPIAN because I am very chatty and fun to be around. Great GAIAN Achievement/s: I have not accomplished a lot in my time on gaia, but there are a few things that I consider great accomplishments. I think that the greatest one of all was opening up a charity and giving out my first donation. Before I was just another one of those greedy gaians out there, hunting for gold and items. After I have given out the first donation, I just could not stop myself. It felt so good that I just could not stop myself. I that overcoming being greedy was a huge accomplishment. Then there are a few other ones. Like finishing my first ever quest. Learning to make the avatar emotes ect... I'm usually very good at starting up conversations in threads filled with bumpers and I'm always willing to listen to people with problems and give my advice. I don't have any special skills with making banners or anything, but I know a lot of people on the site so I can usually refer people to different services. Overall, I'm just a very active and loyal member of this site and I would participate in this guild and be very thankful for all of the advantages that went along with it. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): Well, I'm actually in the process of saving up for a charity on my mule, Ursula Merkle. I've held several giveaway and contest threads in the past though. I actually have one still going on for my birthday. I've successfully completed many quests. My largest one in gold was for the coco kitty plushie which I achieved in two weeks due to me spending way too much time on gaia and several generous donations. I've also successfully finished my quests for all three parisian fans from Prize&Joy. I've won many tektek contests and one bumping contest that I was particularly proud of. I help friends (And new friends. hehe) constantly on gaia. I have a bit of a donating addiction, but I also like to own nice things so I always donate gold from mule accounts. Today was actually a very good donating day for me. I gave a fox tail to my sister and another one to a friend. I also gave away a soccer ball to a newbie that was visiting a charity thread that I act as a moderator for and some crumpled paper bags to a quester. Current Quest:* I'm actually on two separate quests at the moment. I am going after an Elegant Black Lace Fan for my first dream avatar. I work hard to code and create graphics and am thankful for all the extra tips and bribes that my customers give me. I try to be as friendly as can be... although I can be a bit rough sometimes. I spend a lot of time on Gaia with friends- making people have fun and be happy. It would also be a nice birthday gift, seeing as my birthday is on July 15th xD Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): When I first joined Gaia, I opened up a free Pixel Breedable Changing pets shop. Since then I have created numorus graphic and pixel shops. However, at the present I only have one shop, i m p r e s s i o n s profiles. I have completed quite a bit of quests thanks to friends and donators. I also teemed up with Boxed Lunch, a Towns forum helper, to make a guild for everything Gaia. It was called "Gaia For Dummies" but was later taken down for renovations. He turned it into a BUG guide, which was basically a towns guide/guild. Sometimes when I get bored I create Guides, currently the two I have teaches BBCode and another in construction, which explains how to create php free image maps. My most current Gaia project is the GaiAwards, which Cid High-Wind and myself are running, to try to bring the Gaian Community together and vote and nominate each other in various categories. I also help friends out when it comes to needing graphics. I'm very easy to get along with and help out as much as I can even if it's just by bumping someons thread up. I'd love to be part of a guild where the members aren't constanly after donations. And seeing actual conversations in threads, and not chat speek would be very refreshing xD. As for skills? Erm...not many I guess? Tee hee. I can draw okay, and can think of new ideas pretty quickly. I gave anklets (the really expensive ones. forgot what they were called) and a guitar of demona to Ginger (Pornagraphic Princess. Probably didn't spell her username right). Current Quest: Put is simply, I can't quest. D': Not that I really mind. I mean, I can't help but donate. And when I donate, I can't quest because I loose to much gold to the donation. I would have still been on my A. Minis quest but, I had to sell a lot of my MCs to buy the anklets and guitar for ginger (She was hacked awhile ago which is why I donated those items to her) and I put the MCs towards my quest. No MCs = No quest. So, I just decided to just buy whatever and maybe one day, I will have enough to actually but, the A. Minis but, that won't be for a good long time probably. Why should you become a UTOPIAN (tell us your special qualities and/or skills): I think I should become a UTOPIAN because I am overall a kind and generous person. I love helping people out, whether that be in real life or on Gaia. People also tell me that I'm quite funny, and a lot of my friends come to me to brighten up their day. I'm also very active on Gaia, and I love donating to others, even when I'm questing myself. For that reason it takes me a while to complete a quest. ^^; I also have the mind of a six-year-old. What I mean by that is I'm almost always happy, not that I'm immature. xD I'm actually fairly mature for my age. Well ... most of the time. xP; Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): Just a few weeks ago I donated an Angelic Microphone to a reletively new member. She repeatedly thanked me and told me I was a wonderful person. That really put a smile on my face. I've also helped many of my friends in the past with their quest, usually donating a minimum of 1k, but sometimes more. I also gave my friend who reffered me to Gaia an OMFG because she was questing one, and my pair of Fairy Wings for her birthday. her account was hacked soon afterwards, but I've donated to her since to help her get her stuff back. ^^; I've also completed my quest for Fuzzy Penguins Slippers a few weeks ago, and it was my largest quest yet. I tend to make friends everywhere I go. Which is a good thing if I do say so myself. I'm a very loyal person, I'll always stick by my friends. I love to draw avi art for free. : D Though I have a shop I never end up never charging anyone anything. XD I just draw for free. It's fun. Sometimes people draw me back. <3 If you want to know why I feel such a strong connection to Utopia the reason is some of the posters come from the old kiki thread. =D I loved everyone from that thread and I still do. Now I love the new Utopians I've met too. All in all I'm happy with a new friend. Great GAIAN Achievement/s (own a charity, finished a quest, won a contest, helped a friend, etc): I think I should mention my first quest because it meant to much to me. My first real quest ever was for a kiki. It was 40k back then. I eventually did get that kiki with a little bit of help from friends but the majority was just from posting and having a great time on gaia. After I finish a somewhat large quest I always have a donating period where everything I earn from then to my next quest goes towards my friends quest. It's a way to say thanks for akk the great experiences I've had on gaia. Current Quest: A ninja headband -When I first started it was 200k now it is 700k + T _T- If I ever get it, it will be a miracle or because one of my friends has been too good to me. It's this way in every community it seems, even the global one. The poor and meagrely get stepped upon left right and center, & somehow we find a way to pint the finger back at them and say its somehow their fault that they are poor. I don't think sharing the wealth with the poor is going to solve everything, I'm not marxist trust me. But I do think that the mind set of sharing - whether it be things or just honesty and kindness that been so hard to find. "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you" is the goldern rule, and as far as I know being a Utopian entails just that. I live by this rule in real life ... as much as I can n__n;;. Regardless of how "others" maybe, you be kind to them ... because kindness is a power. When you are a kind person, you are a powerful person ... because only kindness has the power to stir something in your soul. When a stranger does something as simple as holding a door out for you when your hands are full or you give some one your seat in the bus, something happends ... you somehow walk away a bit changed. So I am all for the idea of uniting together to help each other in our endeavours ...
