Wow.
I visited my grandma's farm today. I was excited to see the horses for once. Then I got the most FANTASTIC news ever. >:[ [/sarcasm'd]
So, when we got there, my grandma was still at the grocery store, so we were just sitting outside waiting, and thinking "Where's Prince?" Prince was one of my grandma's three horses, he was about a year old. We thought he was just in the forest that connected to his pasture.
Well we were right.
When my grandma got she asked me "Notice anyone missing?" and I said "Where's Prince?" Then she told me "He died yesterday... he was playing in his pasture with Desoto(one of my grandma's other horses.)for the first time, and they were getting along really well, and they started racing, but Prince tried to jump ahead of Desoto, and he impaled himself on one of the posts..."
My brain stopped and I thought "WHAT?" and then said "WHAT?"
Apparently, if he had been a few inches to the side, he would have been okay. Even worse, my grandma's boyfriend had to shoot Prince to put him out of his misery. Now Desoto's freaked out and depressed and Bear(the third horse) is confused. Desoto tried helping Prince off of it, but he couldn't do anything. When the vet came, it was too late so they had to shoot him. They buried him in the forest under a big tree, away from the graves of the baby goats that were born dead.
He was about a year old, and he had golden blonde hair, the kind you'd see on a surfer dude, and white fur with light brown patches. He was a paint/arabian mix. He really was a beautiful horse.
