Still laying on her mom's bed, Karin cried for a good hour, she tired herself out and before she knew it she had fallen asleep in her mom's bed. What was only an hour of sleeping in her mom's bed felt like an eternity, she was in a deep sleep. She was dreaming. She found herself collapsed on the floor of what looked to be a field of checkered flooring. "Wha.. Where am I?" She managed to get herself up to her feet, although her body felt like it was just hit by a train. Looking around, almost making herself dizzy, then started talking out loud to herself. "This isn't my house... What's going on?" She had a confused look on her face, she looked down to her feet and noticed that she had chains attached to her ankles. "What the..?" Then all of a sudden she was teleported, or so it seemed, into a building. She was in a room, that looked to be in a hospital of some kind. There were people in the room, other than herself. They were surrounding a bed of some kind, and horrid screams were echoeing through the room. The doctors and nurses didn't seem to notice Karin, they were more concerned with what was in the bed. They whispered amongst themselves then detached from the bed post, and quickly walked out of the room. Karin still had the chains attached to her ankles, she couldn't move. She lifted her head some to peek in the bed, to see what the screams were coming from. The sight was a terrifying one, and Karin immediately looked away and started to cry, bringing her hands up to her face. What was in the bed was in fact, a 'terrifying' thing to see. It was her sister. She was tied and strapped to the bed, her hands and feet tied to the sides of the bed. She was wearing nothing but a long shirt, which was covered in blood. Her face, it was what hurt Karin the most, blood was seeping out from the sockets of her eyes, eyes blood shot, and her once beautiful fair skin was now pale.. almost grey and withered. It was an awful thing to see, it almost made Karin vomit at the terrible sight of her sister like that, she held it in though. She swallowed her fears and slowly looked up back at the bed. Her sister was screaming and breathing hard, it was like she was someone or something else other than who she looked to be. Karin tried to walk up to the bed but was stopped by the chains holding her back. Then the doctors and nurses came back into the room, her mother followed in after. "Mom!?", Karin cried out loud beginning to cry. But neither her mom or the other people in the room reacted to Karin's cries. "Mom! What are you doing here? What is going on? And why do they have Haruhi tied up in that bed?!", Karin was confused and frustrated, she couldn't move and no one was paying any attention to her questions. Haruhi, which is the name of her sister, was desperately trying to get out of her bed. Actually injuring herself in the process, and letting out more horrifying screams. Karin was forced to watch them talk to each other, and without any of her questions being answered. Then all of a sudden, a new face came into the room. It was a man, he was holding something in his right hand, which Karin couldn't see what it was. He talked to Karin's mom, and her mom began to cry then ran out of the room. The man then walked over to Haruhi and pulled out a large needle, that he was holding when he walked in, and jabbed it into Haruhi's left arm. "What are you doing to Haruhi?!", Karin screamed out. "Answer me damn it!" She began to cry even more. Haruhi's body began to shake, like she was having a seizure, her eyes rolling backwards, and screaming loudly. The spot where the needle had been injected into her began to deteriorate, causing much pain. And soon enough, the screaming stopped, and Haruhi layed motionless in the bed. "That should be the last of it.", the man who stuck the needle into her said without any emotion and then left the room, with the other people following closely behind him. Karin stared at her sister's dead body, her mouth widely opened with shock and confusion. She didn't have anything to say, she just stared and stared for a long time until the door opened again. It was her mom, she walked over to Haruhi and placed her hand gently on her sister's face. "I'm sorry..", her mom said softly and then brought her hand up to her face in a fist as Haruhi's skin on her face began to deteriorate just as her arm did. A tear drop fell from her mom's face onto Haruhi's bed, then slowly walked out of the room, for the final time. After that, the room faded away, along with her sister's corpse and soon enough Karin found herself in reality. She woke up still in her mom's bed in tears. "Was that real? A dream?", she pushed herself up and out of bed whiping her face from the tears. "What was that anyway?", she walked out of her mom's room and into her own. The window was still open, and a cold wind was blowing into the room, rain being carried into the room from the wind. Sighing from a long and weird morning, Karin walked over to her bed and sat on the edge of her bed. "I really hope this isn't how the rest of today is going to be...", she said to herself and dropped her head into her hands. The wind slammed the door shut, but Karin didn't seem to mind, she stayed sitting down trying to think logically about all what's been happening so far. And this is just the beginning of her misfortunes of turning 17.
