[Light Violen interlued starts (Stage crew is setting up Harrison Avenue behind the curtain). Slowly the chellos and basses join the violens along with a slow and steady rythm of drums, when the drums start the curtain should open to the empty cobbelstone street of Harrison Avenue... A dim blue light will give the Avenue a look of wetness from evening rain. JESSICA enters from a door that reads 'Flower Shoppe' holding a blue rose. She wears a bright yellow rain jacket that reaches down to her knees with a matching rain hat and boots, her legs are bare. Her short blonde hair hangs by her ears.]
JESSICA:[Sung] Love is in the air. Love is in the air. [grabs a random passer-by who has a unhappy look on their face.] Can you feel the love? As it blows down the alley ways? Can you hear the love whispering in your ears? Can you smell the wonderful gentle aroma? Taste the glorious taste? [The person has gotten increasingly happier with every word Jessica has sung and the person is smiling when she releases them. Person exits (Skipping) through an alley way Stage Right.] Love! Love is all around us. [Spoken with excitment] In the alleys, on the street, in the buildings... In the rats! [Sung] Love is in the air all because he loves me. [Music stops abruptly as MELODY emerges from a door that reads 'Free Counseling' above it. She wears jeans with a blue rain coat. She is pulling up her hood when she spots JESSICA.]
[Violens slowly start up again]MELODY:[Spoken] Oh no... Not you.
JESSICA:[Spoken] Melody! You came just in time for the chorus!! Come on Join me!
[Sung][All instruments have started up the rhythm again.] Love is in the air! Can't you tell? Especially when a girl like me... Barly age fourteen. Has that goofy look of passion... Devotion.... And lust! Have you ever seen the air so thick with this wild sensation of Love!!!![Spoken]Come on Melody! Sing with me!
MELDOY:[Spoken] NO WAY!
JESSICA:[Spoken]Oh come on... It's fun![She throws her arm around MELODY] Sing with me!
MELODY: Fine. Will you leave me alone if I do? [JESSICA nods excitedly]

[JESSICA and MELODY turn to each other with giant smiles on their faces, holding eachother's hands as Harrison Avenue loses it's 'wet' look and becomes bright and the EXTRAS come out of different doors with giant smiles and start to dance.] Can you feel the love? It's so thick! Can you smell it [JESSICA AND MELODY'S voices get louder with each 'sent'], taste it, hear it?! [The note on 'it' is held as the two release eachother's hands and turn to the audience. Music then quiets down and the EXTRAS slow their dance.]

JESSICA:[Sung] All of these hearts have been lonely for so long...
EXTRAS: [sung]But since cupids been back in town! No one has been down!

[The music stops playing and the EXTRAS stop dancing and all turn to look at JESSICA, astonished at what she had said. MELODYlooks at JESSICA with her mouth wide open. The whole stage is completly silent, totally taken aback by what has just been said.]
JESSICA:[spoken] What?... It's true.
MELODY:[spoken] What have I gotten myself into?
[Music starts up again at the same pace. EXTRAS start dancing again as well.]
JESSICA:[sung] Love! Love! Love is in the air!
MELODY:[sung] Love is in the air!
ALL Love is in the air!
[All strike end pose to the song. The EXTRAS get up and leave as the violens start to play again. MELODY AND JESSICA both stand up and look almost like they are in a wonderful daze.]
MELODY AND JESSICA:[sung at a slow and dazily wonderful pace.] Love is in the air... All because Jack loves me.
[Music ends and the two dazed girls stare into the distance for a moment. At almost the same time they realize what has happened!]
MELODY: Oh my gosh. I did not just say that!
[MELODY runs and exits stage RIGHT before JESSICA can catch her. JESSICA Looks to the audience.]
JESSICA: Jack loves Melody... But- He said he loved me...
[JESSICA looks down sollemly and drops the blue rose on the ground before exiting stage LEFT.]

Ummm. I kinda wrote this as a relation to what is happening in my life right now. One half of me is like JESSICA, excited and joyful. While the other side is like MELODY resiliant and totally unprepared. Lola and Robert were created in relation to my mom and her new boyfriend. And Jack... Well... Jack IS a real boy but his name is different and he has not told two girls that he loves them... In fact he told ANYONE he loves them... Yet.
So make this plain and simple MELODY is half of my feelings toward this boy; grumpy, unsure, unprepared, reiliant, and a little frightened by the thought. But the other half of my feelings towards this boy are clustered into the form of JESSICA; Happy, excited, prepared and ready, and going to tell the entire world! Currently neither side is being satisfied so that's why it ended the way it did. And MELODY also has another part of me attached to her. The part of anxiety and doctors subscribing Counslers. Arg.
